He carefully and clearly explains and teaches learners what is it to be a driver, ensuring that they are comfortable with the knowledge, theoretical and practical. Lessons are tailored to your needs, and insure that you learn how to drive to a high standard. I would very much recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about learning to drive, but Colin was an excellent instructor. He put me at ease and methodically went through the modules, building up my skills and confidence. He was very patient and had me passing my test a lot sooner than I had expected. Thoroughly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I learnt to drive last year with Colin, and happily passed my test first time with only a few minors. Learning to drive for the first time in my 30s, I may have been a slower learner than some but Colin took a great approach, providing the structure but letting me lead the goals for each lesson but also knowing when to suggest going a little further (to things he could see I was capable of). He always took time at the end of lessons to break down what we'd did and talk about any issues that had occurred. When I was having trouble getting comfortable with the higher speeds, with my agreement we took a lesson just going on a longer drive on the A1 (something I could never practice normally within the city limits) and that directly contributed to me being more confident and able to do similar types of drives after passing my test. Other great things included driving to different parts of Edinburgh - as Colin said often, there's no point learning to drive if all I can do are the test routes! So I'm not really fazed by 'new' roads now even when by myself. I'm not sure I'd have the confidence or ability now that I have, if I hadn't had Colin as my instructor.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous to pick up driving lessons again at the ripe age of 22 after a bad experience with an instructor when I was 17. Colin helped build up my confidence overtime and took my wishes into account when planning lessons. For example, initially spending time just driving around quiet streets to make gear changes and positioning feel second nature. And later on spending a few lessons on bay parking as I was least confident with that. I passed my test over a year ago thanks to Colin and haven't looked back since!
