Katherine's Driving School Edinburgh

Fantastic experience: Katherine is absolutely brilliant. She took me on after a very short waiting time. I came from a lot of trauma, failed tests and bad instructors. She calmly and competently helped me back behind the steering wheel, build confidence, and unlearn all dangerous habits I had picked up before. I really liked that Katherine not only ensured we had a regular lesson slot, but sent me helpful videos to watch in my own time and, towards the end, gave me a list of aspects to practice when driving with my partner. In her teaching, she focuses a lot on technique and helped me become a better driver than I imagined. She also supported me with the emotional aspect of driving and the test as I was beyond nervous. I felt understood and supported. When I felt confident enough, I passed my driving test with no minor mistakes and, I know, a lot of it is due to Katherine.

I’d always been terrified of driving, and I put off learning for years. At the beginning, I didn’t think I’d ever pass my test, never mind actually feeling confident and enjoying driving! Fantastic experience: Excellent instructor for refresher lessons! My experience with Katherine has been extremely positive: her calm demeanour and expert guidance allowed me to quickly regain my confidence to drive inside and outside Edinburgh. She adapted immediately to my skill level and shared useful advice and effective tips to make driving easier and more pleasant. Lesson prices are good (marginally cheaper than some other instructors I considered), the manual petrol car was easy to get used to, and the routes we covered were varied and tailored to my requests (quiet roads, busy city centre, complex roundabouts, faster A1 driving). Throughout, Katherine's communication has been great. She was quick to respond to my initial emails and pleasant to talk to in person. I felt comfortable during the lessons to ask her to repeat feedback or to elaborate on some of her advice. She was clear and non-judgemental in her answers, helping me build both intuition and confidence on the road. I can wholeheartedly recommend her as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I passed on Tuesday with Katherine and I highly recommend her if anyone considers driving. She has structured lessons and patient. Very friendly and relaxed which is made the lessons fun. She also has the skills to help deal with nerves and anxieties about driving which will stick with me when I'm driving. Overall, it was a great experience and enjoyable. Thank you again for the support with my learning experience. Definitely book with Katherine if you want to start your lessons.
