Harley's Rider Training: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Went in for the free assessment to hopefully iron out any issues I had with riding, went in with worries came out with confidence. Will definitely be coming back for my CBT thanks to Gregor the instructor for his patience and wisdom.
Fantastic experience: Started my Motorcycle journey with Ben on a Free Lesson in November 2023, after a couple of Pre CBT sessions I finally got the time and funds together to get my CBT in May 2024 with then CBT instructor Tommy, fast forward 8 months and 4000 miles on my 125cc later I was back with Ben doing my Mod 1 in January, Another month on and I’m now a Full Motorcycle License Holder having passed Mod 2, I can honestly say if it hadn’t been for Ben and Tommy my love affair with Motorcycles would have never materialised
Negative experience: I came for a Free Lesson a while ago and met the team who where outstanding and became friends with some of the staff!! I came back in November to book in for more lessons and my CBT to which I seen a male member of staff being verbally abused by a female to which made me turn around and go to another school in the vicinity. I hope this was recognised by the boss and that female be reprimanded for her disgusting behaviour infront of customers so I would definitely AVOID at all costs if that female is still there because if staff can be treated like that, I don't want to think what us students will be treated like
Fantastic experience: Best instructors around, passed my test first time with as little lessons as possible - not padded out Trainers teach you to ride not pass a test, which makes the test a breeze Great bunch of people too, no pressure very friendly THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!
Cheers Kevin ...Ride safe mate
Fantastic experience: Do you guys provide like gear or do I need to bring my own?
Positive experience: Passed my mod 2 a licence on 10th January, a massive show of gratitude for Ben for making this possible for me, it's never to late to learn, I'm 63,many thanks
Well done David ride safe and only on yir last day are you to old for anything
Fantastic experience: Last month I passed my MOD 2. The whole process from pre CBT to sitting my final test was just phenomenal, I couldn't have asked for better guidance and instruction on this journey. Ben is a fantastic instructor, you can tell how much he cares about his students, he takes safety and skill very seriously yet never fails to fill his lessons with laughs and good times. A big thank you to the whole team at Harleys Rider Training Edinburgh, I had a brilliant experience here!
Cheers Juli .ride safe
Fantastic experience: I had a great time taking DAS lessons at Harley's, mainly with Ben as instructor. He guided me through progressing from a 125 after the CBT to the 650cc and on to preparing for the Mod 1 and 2 tests. It took quite a few lessons to get me up to standard but with Ben's teaching, I steadily progressed, eventually passing both practical tests on the first attempt to get my full licence. I would recommend Harley's to anyone thinking of learning to ride a motorcycle. They are helpful, friendly and adaptable to differing abilities and learning speeds.
Fantastic experience: Wow what an experience. I want to express my overwhelming gratitude to Stuart, Zander and Tommy at the Edinburgh branch for guiding me through my CBT journey. They even got me an egg roll for breakfast. From the pre-CBT sessions filled with laughs and banter to the actual training, their expertise and personalised approach made all the difference. They were able to break down complex techniques like clutch control and braking into easily manageable steps, creating a customised program that suited my individual needs. I successfully passed my CBT a few months ago, and I can confidently say that I would wholeheartedly recommend this training center to anyone looking to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Thank you again guys for your help.
Our pleasure mate ..pop by anytime..ride safe and free
Fantastic experience: Started my biker training in Edinburgh and for me it felt like i made friends for life during my cbt i got to know a really good team, they managed to help me learn something new in a matter of weeks, unfortunately i had to move to the glasgow branch because it was closer to my home and being taught by different teachers definitely opened my eyes to different ways of riding but both very positive, I couldn’t recommend a better school with both branches they definitely have experienced teachers and if your thinking of getting your license i highly recommend these guys
Fantastic experience: I would like thank Ben, Tommy & Zander for all the help and support they have provided in teaching me to be able to ride a motorcycle. I successfully sat my CBT, Mod 1 & Mod2 and passed thanks to their teaching ability. I would highly recommend seeking these specific instructors if you are considering learning a motorbike they genuinely care about their students wellbeing and safety. Not only have I received a good education in keeping me safe on the road but made friends that will continue to support you through out the learning journey. I wish them every success when they receive their next students :-)
Fantastic experience: Did my cbt with harleys last year. A year later got my full licence. I would like to thank Ben the instructor and Zander both amazing to deal with. Learnt alot throughout ben I had never sat on motorcycle before my cbt. Ben is always willing to help everyone out above and beyond his requirement.
Fantastic experience: Thanks guys great experience , such a friendly and caring bunch off guys ,Zander thanks for the banter , Tami for a loan off your boots lol appreciated and big stout out to stuart my instructor 5 stars , and my CBT IL BE BACK % great day see yous all soon BEST BUNCH people
Fantastic experience: Ben was an excellent instructor who made learning to ride a motorcycle both easy and enjoyable. His clear and patient teaching style helped me understand not only how to ride, but also how the motorcycle works. Thanks to his guidance, I passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests with confidence. Highly recommend Ben if you want a knowledgeable and supportive instructor!
Fantastic experience: Harley's won't just teach you to pass your test, they'll teach you to become a confident and competent rider. I've never felt more comfortable and looked after. Get ready to come home in tears of laughter and a smile from ear to ear, especially if you have the pleasure of being instructed by Ben!
Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Ben and Jim for Mod 1 and 2 training. Ben's enthusiastic and encouraging teaching skills, prepared me to sit and pass tests 1st time. I cannot recommend and commend him highly enough. Zander helped organise training and test dates to suit me. Thank you all, Dougie
Fantastic experience: Huge thanks and big up to Tommy and Ben. My journey from CBT to MOD 2 was amazing. very professional bunch of guys along with nice humour, jokes and laughs which I feel is very important to calm your nerves. Just passed my MOD 2 today and I cannot thank you enough to Ben and thanks to everyone at Harleys Edinburgh Branch.
Fantastic experience: Done my cbt today with jamie, I went from feeling very anxious and uneasy with my clutch control but throughout the course jamie was genuinely the most helpful instructor, he spent time to go in to detail on the things that we were struggling with and by the end of the day and the last free ride we had a near flawless run and I'm so grateful for the day. Thank you so much guys
Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT today, and massive thanks to Tommy for teaching me. Tommy’s a great instructor, and very thorough with all of the lessons given whilst also making it a good laugh. Would highly recommend
Fantastic experience: Top class lads with a top class training style. I hope for all the idiots they deal with they get some gems! Keep it up! Will be back for my full license next year.
Fantastic experience: Harley’s successfully helped get me from no bike license, to passing my Mod 1 and Mod 2, first time, in just a couple of months. Notably for me, the guys are Harley’s are really keen to actually get you on a bike, and get you on the road. I noticed with another riding school in Edinburgh, who I did my CBT with, it always felt like they didn’t really want you out on a bike. But not at Harley’s. They are bikers and they want to see more bikers on the road, riding in a safe, confident manner. Harley’s were very accommodating and provided me with an efficient schedule to get my license as fast as possible. Every lesson was valuable, purposeful, and fun. I came away from every lesson with more confidence on the bike and more preparedness for my test. I had the privilege of training with instructors Jamie, Ben, and Jim. All of them were professional, knowledgable and helpful. And most of all, fun. There was never a dull lesson and it was a pleasure to be under their instruction. Moreover, Zander behind the desk was top notch when it came to sorting out my next lesson and test. He was very accommodating and made the experience smooth and efficient from start to finish. I can’t recommend Harley’s enough. Special shout out to Ben as he is a great guy and can’t thank him enough for all his instruction.
Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors. Very encouraging and forgiving. 10/10.
Fantastic experience: I phoned the office to say thank you to my instructors Tommy and James who I spent equal time with. Im actually glad I didnt speak to them directly as I became quite enotional as I realised what they have done for me. After an experience with another school I genuinely thought motorbikes werent for me and went to Harleys with strict instructions that if I was wasting everyone's time they were to tell me and we could all move on. But these guys actually taught me and I came away being able to do things I never dreamt possible. I cant thank them enough for their patience, their sense of humour and the actual way they taught me. I never once felt pressure and every hour spent with them showed improvement. To achieve something that I thought impossible means such a lot - I cant thank them enough
Fantastic experience: Great group of guys, Tommy gave me great advice and shared all of his knowledge on equipment and process to get me ready to go out on the road, they are a very patient and supportive.
Positive experience: This site is very well positioned. Very friendly treatment but they are very crowded. I think it's serious for some reason, right?
Fantastic experience: Took my CBT with Harley's had a great time and staff were very knowledgeable and experienced. Will come back to them for further licence training
Thanks William it was our pleasure. See you soon!
Fantastic experience: Thanks to James, Ben and Tommy for being so patient with me during pre CBT lessons and CBT! Would highly recommend Harley’s rider training in Edinburgh! Be prepared for some terrible jokes and good banter!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this riding school! I had my session under Ben today and he was able to explain all the details and road rules with great patience! It was a lovely experience especially from someone who had a conversion motorbike license.
Fantastic experience: Amazing day great fun jokes all round. If your sensitive be prepared. Put an ease all day would recommend to all
Fantastic experience: Great experience with instructors james and Ben. The teaching was excellent and had a good laugh. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a licence. If you cant handle getting the mick taken out of you then look elsewhere!!
Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly and my first free lesson was very useful, it taught me how to ride a motorbike with no previous experience and now i feel confident with the cbt
Fantastic experience: I want to express my immense gratitude to Ben and Tommy at the Edinburgh branch for guiding me through my CBT journey. From the pre-CBT sessions filled with laughs and banter to the actual training, their expertise and personalized approach made all the difference. They were able to break down complex techniques like clutch control and braking into easily manageable steps, creating a customized program that suited my individual needs. I successfully passed my CBT a few months ago, and I can confidently say that I would wholeheartedly recommend this training center to anyone looking to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Thank you again, Ben and Tommy, for your exceptional instruction and support!
Well done Lachlan ..ride safe pal
Fantastic experience: Done my full A license with Harley's from CBT to the mod 2 (Tommy for CBT and Ben as DAS instructor). Great group of people that actually want you to succeed and become a great rider, not just take your money. Can't thank them enough for their amazing training and guidance on how to be a good and safe rider. Passed all tests 1st time thanks to your guys. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Had an awesome experience passing my CBT at Harley's. The free lesson really helped to build confidence, and Jamie was great at keeping us focused and safe on the road in less than ideal weather.
Fantastic experience: CBT with Jamie - Long day but brilliant all round!
Well done Andrew Believe it or mot some folk don't take or first FREE lesson and are then surprised at how much work and skill it takes ( on both parts !) To complete the CBT in a day. Congratulations to you sir and Ride Safe Jim Harley
Fantastic experience: All 3 of these guys are bloody amazing. I'm new to riding bikes, Ben sorted me right out with a great first lesson. Second lesson was with Tommy, he was just as good! Today I finished my CBT with Jamie, he was great. Kept me calm and had loads of patience. Felt safe all the time when I was out on the road with him. Definitely recommend this school!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic! The instructors here are incredible. Very knowledgable, friendly and passionate; they all step up and in to help with training. Special shout-out to Jamie who took me through my first lesson a couple weeks back and out on to the road for the first time during my CBT today (I passed). He really helped me get over my nerves of being on the road for the first time. He stayed incredibly calm and has definitely mastered the hard skill of patience on the road with learners! He done an amazing job checking in with us during the drive “steady is safe and safe is fast”. If it’s not obvious from above, I highly recommend this driving school. Ben, Tommy and Jamie - it was an absolute pleasure, I will certainly be back when I decide to get that full licence!
Thanks Daisy We're all glad you enjoyed your training. Ride safe till we see you back for the full licence. ( The boys send their regards and said it was a pleasure ) Thanks for choosing #Harleys Edinburgh Jim Harley
Fantastic experience: Cbt, Mod 1, and mod 2:Excellent training and coaching. Tommy and Ben they are awesome instructors I would absolutely recommend this place to to anyone looking to pass your bike test they are great and it’s a great atmosphere and a great laugh wouldn’t use anyone else
Fantastic experience: Thanks to the instructors at harleys for getting me through my mod1 and mod2 in the 5 days i had best 5 days iv had in a long time guys where professional and liked the banter which kept the course lively 10 out of 10 for everything cheers guys
Fantastic experience: I passed my full A license with Harley's in Edinburgh. What a great experience! The whole team are friendly and a great laugh! I was let down badly by another training school, and Harley's was highly recommended to me by a friend at work. A week later i was booked in for my CBT renewal with Tommy, an excellent instructor who assessed my ability and recommended that i went straight onto the 650cc bikes. Ben then trained me for my tests and ironed out any problems I had. Ben is a fantastic instructor! He obviously loves his job and gives you so much advice and knowledge to keep you safe on the road. Last but not least, a big thanks to Zander who booked all the dates up for training and tests, and kept me on track. Harley's is definitely the place to go if you want to learn to ride well and be safe! I didn't just gain my A license, I made three friends too. Thanks again guys! You're the best!
Fantastic experience: My experience with this training center was excellent. I did my CBT and full A licence within 3 months including some weeks off. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wishes to get knowledge and skills required for driving safely.
Fantastic experience: The staff here have been nothing but understanding and patient with me. I have been unsure of things and they believed in me when I didn’t. They persevered with me and helped me so much learn and start my journey with riding
Fantastic experience: CBT completed and will be back for Mod 1 and 2. Tommy and Ben were great to both learn from and banter with. Thumb out of 10.
Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT, MOD1,MOD2 With harleys and i tell you what the guys there are amazing Tommy and Ben fantastic guys really made me feel welcome and the laughs i will never forget thank you so much and will stay in touch anyone looking to go for any bike licence honestly look no further than Harley's.
Fantastic experience: Cbt, Mod 1, and mod 2: first try pass. Excellent training and coaching. Tommy and Ben are there because they love riding, and love to share the skills to make sure each student is safe and successful. Entire time felt like I was getting a solid 1 on 1 session, their advice and coaching were what allowed me to go back and practice what I needed. Ultimate leading to a first try pass for the DAS mod 1 and 2. I would absolutely recommend thus place to both beginners and season riders as we all could always strive to be safer and faster.
Fantastic results Mike . Glad we were the team to get you through. You put in thd effort though. We just kept you right. Ride safe bud and we'll done again in atrocious conditions
Fantastic experience: Done my CBT here on Friday, and I would like to thank all the boys for a good time. Things to note for anyone unsure if they should do a CBT in this place: if you have no sense of humour or are offended by everything, I wouldn’t bother booking anything here. I also want to confirm that you will be provided with all the PPE needed, but try to bring your own boots at least if you can, not necessarily motorcycle boots either. If you have never ridden a motorbike, I recommend you book one of the free sessions these guys provide before booking a CBT to avoid disappointment on the day. The instructors are knowledgable and easy to get on and have a laugh with.
Thanks mate glad you had a good day. Stay safe out there
Fantastic experience: Came in for a free practise lesson having not riden for many years, the guys teaching were spots on. Enthusiastic, informative and overall great instructors. Lesson went great and I've book my cbt for the end of the month.
Hi Callum, We're glad you enjoyed the FREE lesson. We're looking forward to taking you futher in your motorcycling journey at the end if the month. We always try to go the extra mile
Fantastic experience: Went there for my CBT all the way from glasgow and what can i say, great bunch of lads tought me what i need to know ride well (enough) on the road.
Thanks mate were glad ypu enjoyed it...Ride safe
Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. I was nervous at first as I never thought I could ride a geared bike. However, thanks to the excellent guidance of Tommy and the support of Ben, the entire day turned out to be a fantastic journey of learning new skills with a lot of fun. The instructors at Harley’s Rider Training in Edinburgh have lots of experience to share, and their friendly, encouraging nature made the entire process enjoyable. It was heartening to have them cheering for me as I overcame each challenge . I highly recommend Harley’s Rider Training in Edinburgh for anyone looking to embark on a safe and enjoyable motorcycle training journey. The team’s professionalism, friendliness, and support create an environment where you can confidently develop your riding skills. It was a day well-spent, and I am grateful for the positive experience.
Glad you had a fantastic day . We all look forward to seeing you back and helping you along your motorcycling journey
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Harley's Rider Training in Edinburgh if you are thinking of learning to ride. Training provided by the team is second to none. This level of training enabled me to pass both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time. The training was delivered safely and professionally. The instructors have a wealth of experience and knowledge. Their enthusiasm when teaching students makes it even more enjoyable. Cheers for everything Ben, Tommy, and Zander. I will be back for a visit soon.
Thanks Mathew. Ride safe pal
Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Zander, Tommy and Ben: I completed my CBT, Mod1 and Mod2 at the Edinburgh branch of Harley’s rider training. I had no riding experience before starting my CBT and Ben kindly accommodated me on a course with guys who had a lot more experience than me. I found Ben and Tommy to be excellent instructors- both were extremely hard working, patient and kind. Ben is very encouraging and keen to get the best out of learners without being forceful. Tommy demonstrated unwavering patience throughout. The team were accommodating when fitting my lessons in at weekends, and in rescheduling my mod1 test after it was cancelled due to ice. I felt safe learning with the team and they clearly prioritise safety, particularly at junctions and roundabouts. My overall impression was that these guys love riding bikes and teaching others’ how to ride, which makes for a fun day out. Thanks again.
Well done Liam. Anyone can teach the easy ones and you were a great learner. Ride safe pal
Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Ben and the whole team in Edinburgh! Top class instructors that teach in a fun environment From a complete beginner to a full licence in around 5 weeks Been a year since I passed my licence and I will go back to do the advanced training at some point!
Fantastic experience: I am very happy that I managed to find this school and my instructor, Ben, who is an experienced and super nice motorcyclist. Having the A2 category, I wanted to upgrade it to A. Several other places where I inquired about training were not favorable and simply tried to ignore me as they did not see any earnings there due to the lack of long training requirements in my case. Ben, on the other hand, had a very positive attitude and clearly wanted to prepare me for the exam as best as possible. Thanks to this approach, I had no major problems with passing both modules. I have seen many instructors, but Ben definitely stands out among them with his commitment, honesty and knowledge. I sincerely recommend it to anyone interested.
Fantastic experience: Ben and the team at Harleys Edinburgh are really good instructors with loads of experience to share. Great fun balanced with focus on safety. I started out very nervously for a CBT just to see if I could do it. I absolutely loved it, built my skill and confidence and now progressed up to a bigger bike, passing Mod1 then onto passing Mod 2 this week - thanks to Ben’s patience and advice. I travel 75 miles each way to learn with Ben - because I trust them to have the experience and expertise to make sure I’m safe on the road. I never thought I could do this - but it’s been brilliant. Very informative history tours of Edinburgh too
Well done Gillian we have all had fun teaching you and helping plan your lessons . Soo glad your passed and out on the road. Ride safe and thanks fir the cakes
Fantastic experience: Harley's Rider Training is great! I started as a complete beginner in July, and by November, I had my CatA unrestricted license—all thanks to the fantastic team. Special kudos to Ben, my brilliant instructor, whose expertise and encouragement got me through Mod1 and Mod2 tests on the first try. His clear explanations and patient approach made learning a joy. Harley's provides a top-notch, personalised training scheme emphasising safety and skill development. They also offer plenty of flexibility for those with busy work/life schedules. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to learn or advance their motorcycle skills. Thank you, Harley's Rider Training, and a big shout-out to Ben again for making my experience unforgettable!
Fantastic experience: I undertook a crash course with Harleys Rider Training for the direct access scheme, progressing quickly from CBT to MOD 1 and 2 thanks to expert tuition, and couldn’t recommend them more highly. From the first interaction with Abi, she went out of her way to juggle calendars, particularly with booking in the tests, to meet what was a tight schedule on my part. The actual training with Ben and the team was top notch. There was a heavy emphasis in producing safe riders, not merely aiming to pass the test. You could clearly tell they cared about the students and their passion for riding shone through. They adapted their style to meet the needs of the student and went above and beyond to ensure students left with the bug for riding! Thanks for all your support, I’ll definitely be returning for some follow on courses!
Well done Scott. It was our pleasure. Stay safe on the road mate
Fantastic experience: Excellent training and advice given . Went here with no experience of bikes at all. Done cbt with Ben and team .great day everything explained clearly then mod 1 and mod 2 training with Ben and Jim. Again everything made clear .made to feel comfortable and had a laugh everytime. . Passed mod 1 and mod 2 first time. Highly recommend .
Fantastic experience: A great place to learn if you're going for your CBT or full license. Friendly instructors that will put you at ease. Mod 1 training in the small yard definitely prepares you for the real thing (passed first time thanks to Ben). Overall a great place to learn with the main goal of getting you on the road yourself. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Excellent motorcycle training facility friendly staff highly recommended
Fantastic experience: I have just passed my Mod 1 and Mod 2 with Harley’s rider training in Edinburgh. From the get go Ben and Stuart where brand new with a relaxed atmosphere. Going out on the roads with the bikes just felt like just going for a chilled ride with mates.. with Ben keeping me right with any mistakes and things to work on, always full of jokes and the odd song. I honestly couldn’t recommend Ben and the team at Harley’s highly enough to do your bike training with. Abi was extremely helpful with organising my training and giving me all the information needed. Cheers guys! Time to buy lots of bikes
Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with Harleys Edinburgh and so glad I chose them! The free first lesson I felt was invaluable on helping get a bit of extra experience with bike controls before training day and Stu is perfect at identifying struggle points and spending individual time until you get it. The CBT day was very professionally run (with lots of laughs!), no detail spared to ensure you are as prepared as possible to go out on the road. As someone with a lot of general anxiety I was grateful to Stu, Ben and Tommy for making me feel at ease and understanding every student is an individual with different learning styles; they adapt to suit you and get you where you need to be. Looking forward to continuing my journey to a full licence with Harleys :)
Fantastic experience: Fantastic training, instructors are all great guys. Completed my CBT with Ben as my instructor; the man's a fountain of biking knowledge and good advice. Ten out of ten would Harley again.
Thank Alex glad ypu enjoyed your day. Keep safe pal
Fantastic experience: Done my mod 1 & mod 2 with these guys and they are amazing , the skills & control they teach you are priceless and really prepare you for when you go out yourself . Ben taught me how to ride properly and safely and really has patience and explains things clear & precise he's a great guy and has a laugh at same time , Jim took me down for my mod 1 & he also has great experience that he passes on and talks you through things with ease . Goes without saying I highly recommend to anyone wanting to do their CBT and / or full licence ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Negative experience: My experience with the CBT test at this particular institution was nothing short of disappointing. The instructor, particularly Ben, exhibited a shocking lack of professionalism. His use of inappropriate language during teaching was not only unbecoming but also highly unprofessional. It made the learning environment uncomfortable and distracting. Moreover, the teaching methods employed were far from effective. The concepts were not adequately explained, and it felt like the instructor was more interested in proving a point than helping the students grasp the material. I must say, amidst the chaos, there was one staff member who demonstrated a genuine interest in helping the students. However, the majority of the staff appeared to be argumentative and disinterested in addressing our concerns. This negative atmosphere greatly contributed to the overall worst experience I've had in a learning environment. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this CBT test institution to anyone. The unprofessional behavior of the instructor, the lack of proper teaching methods, the argumentative staff, and the overall disregard for students' time and money have left me thoroughly disappointed. I strongly advise anyone considering this institution to look elsewhere for a more worthwhile and respectful learning experience.
Hi Kissan. We are sorry you see it this way. So much you had to copy Parth's review word for word . I'm sorry you didnt get your CB. You will notice you guys are our only poor review ever so far . We did try to help you both. Here is our reply to Parth and your review. We did have an instructor sick on the day your cbt was booked. We also quickly remedied that by brining in an extra instructor and re scheduling our next day to make the CBT possible. We went through the syllabus as required with all the students that day 3 off you . Yourself and the other student you mention both never had English as a first language. This created a barrier to safe learning. You both had good bike control skills but time taken with the 3rd student ( who was on a second return to cbt ) ment that time was running short ! It was very apparent from questions asked and the time takrn to understand instructions during element C that you and the other student did not have a great grasp of the Highway code. At lunc a discussion was had with ypu the other student and Ben around element D " the road briefing and safety chat " it was quickly apparent that you both had very little to no knowledge of the highway code or the rules if the road. Ben quite rightly informed you both that it would not be possible for you to pass through element D and suggested you both to study the highway code and maybe complete a theory test to help you complete element D. You eventually after a lot of discussion agreed. Given your lack of knowledge and difficulties deciphering basic instructions on the training pad we stand 100 % behind Ben's decision not to progress to element D and the road ride. It would have been extremely dangerous to take you on the road ! The third student who completed element D and the road ride unfortunately still didn't have the skills required to complete the CBT successfully and will have to return for more training again. We are demanding nothing of you its your choice to come back and complete the CBT with us or not . Ben's language was never raised or discussed on the day or since and ypu were both desperately asking to stay on to go on the road . This seems strangevif you thoght Ben was such a bad trainer. The other student who failed to complete has been asked about this and said he didn't notice anything. We do hope you complete your CBT and we are sure you both have the bike control skills to do so! Hopefully you have worked on your knowledge of the rules and laws of the road and your road sign recognition. You and the other student both agreed in your booking confirmation it says "you must know and understand the Highway Code " We reserve the right not to take students on the road if we don't think they will be safe. . Some times you just need to know a bit more of what you are booking ...before you book ! Best wishes for your biking future.
Negative experience: My recent encounter with the CBT program offered by this institution has been a complete nightmare. I can't emphasize enough how awful my experience has been. The instructor, especially Ben, showcased a complete lack of professionalism by consistently using offensive language while teaching. This behavior not only created a hostile learning environment but also hindered my ability to focus and learn effectively. The teaching methods employed were far from adequate, making it nearly impossible to grasp the material being taught. The staff members' behavior was no better. The majority of them seemed more interested in engaging in arguments than in addressing our concerns and needs as students. This further contributed to the extremely negative experience I had during my time at the institution. My disappointment continued to grow as the days progressed. On the first day, no one bothered to show up for the session. After waiting for 20 minutes, we received a call stating that the session was canceled due to unspecified health issues. This lack of communication and disregard for our time was utterly disrespectful. The second day was equally horrendous. The instructors rushed through the content and seemed determined to end the session early. As a result, myself and another student were unfairly failed. To make matters worse, they are now demanding more money for an additional day of instruction, despite the subpar teaching and the unpleasant experiences we've endured. I feel compelled to caution anyone considering this institution for their CBT test preparation. The unprofessional conduct of the instructor, the ineffective teaching methods, the argumentative staff members, and the overall lack of respect for students' time and money make this institution a clear no-go. My encounter here was beyond disappointing, and I strongly urge prospective students to seek out a more reputable and respectful learning environment.

Fantastic experience: Came here in June to do my CBT. They asked what vehicle I was planning on riding and set me up on the same size for my training. Had Stuart (I think, terrible with names), he was very friendly and encouraging. Very positive. Tells you how the day will go and whats to be done. They are cheaper than other Edinburgh ones, easier to book on too.
Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT today in Edinburgh , so chuffed! Thank you so much to Stuart who was a fantastic instructor cannot fault him at all, he really knows his stuff and was so helpful and understanding & the banter was good throughout which made me feel at ease, can't wait to do further lessons and hopefully my DAS soon. Would highly recommend x
Fantastic experience: Just passed my CBT today and am so happy. Could not thank Stuart and his colleagues enough for all their help and support. Fantastic experience: Completed my first cbt a few weeks back with Stuart as my instructor. I really enjoyed their approach to learning it was direct but also came with alot of patience. Thanks guys!
Fantastic experience: Started my training in Edinburgh at the end of April. Completed my CBT with Stuart who was an excellent teacher, he really knows his stuff and made learning a fun experience. Then I went on to do my DAS with Ben who was equally as great. I passed everything first time and now have my unrestricted licence as of today 15th May. I was able to do this because so fast because of their training but also Ben working out time slots to fit me in around my busy schedule. Thoroughly enjoyed my training at Harleys Edinburgh; we all had a good laugh! P.s thanks for all the coffees/cakes guys! ️
Well DonecThomas we had a blast getting you there ride safe mate
Fantastic experience: Ben and Stuart make Harley's the best. It was daunting taking on a new challenge and I didn't know what to expect of it. From the get go, I was completely welcomed at the school. Every time I've travelled in from Glasgow it's been a good laugh, with solid progress being made towards a pass. I sat my CBT in October and comfortably passed this May. Both instructors have made lots of time for me, I've never felt condescended to and everything they've taught me has brought me closer to passing through understanding and respect. Anyone thinking of taking it on shouldn't look any further than Harley's. Thanks for the fantastic time!
Fantastic experience: Sat my CBT on 12/5/23 First off all I would love to thank my trainer for today Stuart what a wonderful person. So helpful and understanding and always there to listen and give the best information and guidance throughout the day. He made me feel totally at ease throughout the day and listened to any questions that was asked and gave an in-depth explanation of what was ever was asked in such a way that everyone was able to understand. Top guy I would highly recommended the course and especially the trainer to anyone that is considering going to sit there CBT or any other training involving a motorcycle. Thanks so much I haven’t had such a great experience in a long time and look forward to seeing them all again soon.
Cheers John. We had a great time too. Hopefully see you back soon . Ride safe

Hey Paul ..thanks for the review. Glad you had a good day
Fantastic experience: I have taken 3 CBt's over the years at various locations and i have to say that Harley's takes it to a whole new level! From the moment i arrived, i felt welcomed and part of a family. The knowledge of the team is spot on, and the teaching style is very laid back (I forgot i was being assessed out on the road and thought i was just on a ride with my pals!). I will be returning soon, to get my bigger bike licence soon. In the mean time, keep it up fella's!
Cheers Reece. Glad you had a great day
