Fantastic experience: Katherine is absolutely brilliant. She took me on after a very short waiting time. I came from a lot of trauma, failed tests and bad instructors. She calmly and competently helped me back behind the steering wheel, build confidence, and unlearn all dangerous habits I had picked up before. I really liked that Katherine not only ensured we had a regular lesson slot, but sent me helpful videos to watch in my own time and, towards the end, gave me a list of aspects to practice when driving with my partner. In her teaching, she focuses a lot on technique and helped me become a better driver than I imagined. She also supported me with the emotional aspect of driving and the test as I was beyond nervous. I felt understood and supported. When I felt confident enough, I passed my driving test with no minor mistakes and, I know, a lot of it is due to Katherine.

Fantastic experience: Katherine is a brilliant driving instructor, who I would definitely recommend. Katherine is reliable, patient, and professional, while still keeping the lessons fun. I’d always been terrified of driving, and I put off learning for years. At the beginning, I didn’t think I’d ever pass my test, never mind actually feeling confident and enjoying driving! Which I now do. Katherine has really helped me get to this point - so thank you!

Fantastic experience: Excellent instructor for refresher lessons! My experience with Katherine has been extremely positive: her calm demeanour and expert guidance allowed me to quickly regain my confidence to drive inside and outside Edinburgh. She adapted immediately to my skill level and shared useful advice and effective tips to make driving easier and more pleasant. Lesson prices are good (marginally cheaper than some other instructors I considered), the manual petrol car was easy to get used to, and the routes we covered were varied and tailored to my requests (quiet roads, busy city centre, complex roundabouts, faster A1 driving). Throughout, Katherine's communication has been great. She was quick to respond to my initial emails and pleasant to talk to in person. I felt comfortable during the lessons to ask her to repeat feedback or to elaborate on some of her advice. She was clear and non-judgemental in her answers, helping me build both intuition and confidence on the road. I can wholeheartedly recommend her as an instructor.

Negative experience: No reply (gave it a few weeks before reviewing, in case of holidays).

Fantastic experience: I passed on Tuesday with Katherine and I highly recommend her if anyone considers driving. She has structured lessons and patient. Very friendly and relaxed which is made the lessons fun. She also has the skills to help deal with nerves and anxieties about driving which will stick with me when I'm driving. Overall, it was a great experience and enjoyable. Thank you again for the support with my learning experience. Definitely book with Katherine if you want to start your lessons.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time after learning with Katherine. I was a very nervous driver to start and she put me at ease with each lesson and effectively prepared me for the test. She was very friendly and lessons were relaxed. She also provided me with skills to help with my nerves and helped me believe in myself and see a future where I could pass. She structured lessons very well which meant that I was constantly progressing and was strong in all skills for my test date. I would highly recommend Katherine as an instructor. Lessons were really fun too!

Fantastic experience: If you are anxious, or neurodivergent, Katherine will not only teach you how to drive, she will also give you tools to help you master your nerves and be a good and safe driver. She has been extremely patient with me over the past few months, and I passed with only two minors thanks to her hard work. I could not recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: Katherine was a great driving instructor. As someone who had never so much as sat in the drivers seat before starting my lessons I was incredibly nervous and lacked confidence. Katherine was calm and patient, provided great additional resources and helpful tips to control my nerves. All of this led to me passing my test the first time round which I can only put down to Katherine’s efforts. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn.

Fantastic experience: I've just passed my driving test first time and couldn't be happier! I need to mention that I suffer from anxiety, especially during exam conditions, but I managed to feel confident enough to take the test. Katherine has plenty of experience, is very calm and gives great instructions, she really enjoys what she does! She doesn't just teach for the test, in her method she ensures that she's turning you into a safe driver. I'm very happy I've learned to drive from her, it's such a good skill to have!

Fantastic experience: Well I’ve finally passed, perhaps 25 years late but I have to say Katherine was a fountain of patience and consideration. I enjoyed my sessions week in week out and Katherine was always keeping me informed of what my focuses should be and even looking at exercises that could improve my focus before lessons. I approached my test with confidence after starting from absolute scratch and passed first time - a shock for my family and friends. Fantastic experience: Katherine is a fantastic tutor. She is patient and calm throughout and really makes sure you are prepared for the test. I like many other under Katherine’s guidance, passed first time. I felt well prepared and confident on the day. She will help you prepare mentally as well, making sure you’re in the right frame of mind for everything. Delighted to have done my lessons with her. I recommend anyone to do the same.

Fantastic experience: Really good instructor. Was quite the nervous driver to begin with but Katherine's very good at teaching everything thoroughly with resources she's collected over her time as an instructor. Would recommend anyone that can, use her for teaching you how to drive. Passed on my first test with her and 1 minor - woop!

Fantastic experience: Katherine is amazing, very patient and calm during the lessons. She was very supportive and set clear goals for every lesson. Katherine explained everything in detail without ever sound condescending, something I experienced with a previous instructor. I am 38 years old with a lot of bad habits from driving in another country, but Katherine  systematically review all the necessary manoeuvrers and driving guidelines with me, to be able to drive safely and to pass the test.Katherine asked me what aspects of my driving would need more practice and motivated me when I needed it. She also provided me with extra material to be fully prepared before the test. I highly recommend Katherine as a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Katherine was very friendly and patient which made me feel comfortable during our lessons. Exceptionally good at explaining manoeuvres and general driving. Would use her iPad to show examples of what we would be doing that week which helped to visualise how it would look and be done. Great teacher and would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Katherine is the most patient, smartest, amazing, just simply the best teacher in the world! With the minimum amount of lessons with her, me, a person who really had a hard time understanding how driving a car works, learned it and passed both theoretical and practical exams from the first time. Fantastic experience: Katherine is the best instructor I have had, I was with 3 more instructor's from differect driving schools before I took classes from Katherine, and she outshone them all. She is always calm and supportive, very punctual and her teaching methods were tailor to me. With her help I managed to pass my test in the first time. Thanks a million, Katherine!!!

Fantastic experience: Kat is an amazing driving instructor. I previously tried to learn how to drive and I felt like giving up until a work colleague recommended Kat. Kat knew I lacked confindence and got fustrated at times. She stuck with me. We had 2 to 3 lessons a week. She was always professional and idenfied what area's we had to consentrate on from previous lessons. I'm happy to say I passed my test in Dec 2014. I was relived and very proud that day. It's funny I can still hear Kat in my ear when I go round a roundabout. Lol If you want to learn to drive well and safely. I highly recommend Kat. Cheers David Brown Aberdeen

After first lesson with Katherine I was more confident and relaxed than ever, she really knows how to explain things well with very friendly manner.

Fantastic experience: Katherine is a very professional driving teacher, always on time and very flexible when organizing lessons. I previously drove in the United States and needed to work on specific areas of driving, and also un-learning some mistakes I had been making while driving in the UK. Katherine was a very effective teacher and I passed my test with an awesome score! Very happy about that! :-) Definitely recommend
