Everything Steve does is in service of helping you be the best driver you can be, while perfectly balancing an easy-going and friendly attitude with his professionalism. His lesson reflections, secondary material and lessons were vital in him helping me pass first time with only 1 fault! He really went out of his way to make sure I was ready for my test in both practical capability and in being calm on the test. Sound fella, and an excellent driving instructor!

He told me from the beginning that he is teaching me to drive a car not pass my test, and he has done just that! After passing my test today I feel confident to go out on the roads by myself ensuring my self and other road users are safe. His lesson reflections helped me a lot for the next lessons as I was able to recognize my strengths and weaknesses and I also found his demonstrations very beneficial! He doesn’t add any pressure or rushes anything, and is always knowledgeable, and happy to answer any and all questions. Ste does demonstrations, which I found very helpful. Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for a better driving instructor. Ste went above and beyond to ensure I was at a high enough standard of driving to pass the test with flying colours. I looked forward to every lesson as Ste made sure they were enjoyable, engaging and a friendly environment to learn in. After every lesson Ste would send me a lesson reflection to complete allowing me to take responsibility for my own actions on the road whilst also building confidence by highlighting specific things I did well during the lesson. Any aspects of driving I was struggling with Ste would give a demo talking me through all the steps on how to handle the situation correctly which I found really beneficial. Ste would also send informative videos that helped boost my knowledge even further. Every lesson was structured to work on key areas of improvement making them very productive. Overall Ste is brilliant at his job and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to become a safe and independent driver.

Fantastic experience: Started my lessons with ste in march, straight away I made really good progress on lessons and he got me thinking for myself and taking responsibility. Fantastic experience: Got me to pass my test first time. Everytime i had a lesson I was excited to get in the car, the lessons are really chilled out and I didn’t have a single really stressful experience as ste was always chilled out. I passed first time and under 25 hours of lessons, and I didn’t feel as though I needed anymore or any less. Just a boss instructor, and if you want to learn and get your test passed I’d give him a text.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning with Ste for roughly 9 months from scratch. He is very knowledgeable and extremely good at his job as he cares about it. This is shown by his large amount of first attempt passes and how safe and responsible his learners are when driving, furthermore Ste tries his hardest to help learner drivers out as much as he can whether that be to stay out longer after a lesson with them free of charge, sending them various videos each tailored to that specific learners needs and weaknesses and most importantly caring about them and making sure they are okay all the time with nerves and stress. Ste deserves 5 stars from me as I struggled a lot with nerves near the end of my lessons and roughly halfway through I had a tough time mentally and it was affecting me and Ste as I would get extremely frustrated when I would make a mistake which led to me not making any significant progress with Ste for that duration of time and Ste helped me both times immensely and got me confident and changed my mindset not just for driving but for anything I wish to do in life. Thank you for everything Ste it has been a pleasure.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to say a massive thank you to Ste for his unbelievable patience and attention to detail when teaching my son to drive. Nothing was ever too much trouble fitting Lessons around Marcus being away at uni. He gave positive feedback, was always so encouraging but would also give areas to focus on when needed. Fantastic experience: My whole experience learning to drive was brilliant thanks to 'Ste Drives Driving School. Very professional, encouraging but at the same time calm and relaxed through out. Ste is an extremely reliable instructor and very knowledgable in all aspects of driving. I would defenitley recommend this driving school especially because it helped me to build up my confidence and resilience during the course of learning. Ste helped out with suggesting many helpful and successful tutorials including, roundabouts Road markings and "The Ted Talk" which you can find on YouTube. He also encourages new learners to eat two bananas before test for the extra boost of alertness, and energy. This Defenitley worked for me but the best advice ste gave was to "Drive to your best ability all the way through your test, no matter if or where you think you have slipped up, fix it and carry on" (watch the TED TALK). Brilliant driving school!!!

Fantastic experience: I got in contact with Ste after leaving another instructor and the only thing i thought after was why didn’t I do it sooner! He’s by far the best instructor in the Liverpool area in my opinion. He’s professional, courteous & a real laugh to be around. He’ll ensure every lesson was a 100% improvement on the last with recaps, ensuring corrections are made on issues there and then & overall strengthening areas to make sure you’re test ready. Ste has by far made me into a better driver and I’ve passed as a result of his teaching. If you live in the south Liverpool area then I’d definitely recommend getting in contact with Ste as his guidance is probably the surest way to get a pass and teach you how to be a safe and responsible driver for future.

As a very nervous driver ste helped me over come my fears and mistakes and got me a pass first time after just 10hrs lessons . Fantastic experience: What can I say? Grade A driving instructor and it’s deserved. Ste is the Tom Cruise of driving instructors. On a serious note, Ste is a top man and a top driving instructor, always makes you feel comfortable in the car and teaches you to a high standard of driving. I’d recommend Ste to anyone looking for a driving instructor in the Liverpool/Widnes area.

Fantastic experience: Grade A instructor and it shows! Cannot fault Ste he’s such a great instructor worth every penny! I had 2 previous instructors and was getting nowhere for so long. Made the switch to Ste and in less than 10 lessons was passed First time! Don’t stay with an instructor who is getting you nowhere!

Fantastic experience: Can’t put into words how much ste helped me gain my confidence in driving. In having such a bad start to driving with various Instructors, ste helped me take back control behind the wheel and give me my confidence back. He is great company and easy going so you just feel at ease driving. He helped passed me and during the pandemic went out of his way to get me my test booked checking constantly for me as he knew how much it meant to me after it being cancelled numerous times due to covid. He really went above and beyond and passed me. Can honestly say I wouldn’t of passed if it wasn’t for him. Highly recommend for anyone like me who suffers from anxiety too, doesn’t judge and really helps calm me down when I’m panicking. He made driving as easy as 1,2,3. Don’t hesitate just book with him you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend a better driving instructor. Struggled with another instructor before I met Ste. Ste shows great patience and is very knowledgeable - can always have a laugh with him! Although I’ve now passed, I will miss my lessons with Ste which speaks volumes.
