Fantastic experience: If you are looking to pass your C+E or any other lorry test, these guys are incredible. A week’s intense training with my utterly fantastic instructor Rob saw me conquer driving such a massive beast of a lorry off my car licence and full fill a dream I’ve had for 30 years. As a female I had personal doubts in terms of capability and confidence, I wanted to pass so badly but I had a huge mountain to climb in five days. Rob is so experienced as an instructor he knew my capabilities way more than I did and was so encouraging, explaining everything in great detail and re explaining differently when I wasn’t quite sure. Even when I messed up and had blips in training, Rob was so positive and encouraging and knew just how to boost my confidence and help me focus. Quite honestly he really is simply the best instructor I could have had. Everyone at Martin’s Driver Training are lovely, I did my CPC courses here, four with Tim who was great, the girls in the office are super nice and so knowledgeable and helpful and you know what when I passed my C+E first time, everyone was so thrilled especially Rob my instructor. I completed my C+E licence (large goods vehicle and trailer) with Martin's driver training, and I am delighted to be able to review this company very highly. From the very beginning, Carol took a lot of time to clearly and patiently go over the process, which resulted in me arranging a medical, booking theory tests, and looking forward to an intensive course. That final part was with Graham, who was a perfect instructor for me, along with guidance from the other trainer, Rob, and support from Pam. All of whom were much appreciated. Fantastic experience: Superb training received.. From the 1st telephone call to Martins DT, Carol was very helpful, friendly and accommodating in helping me book a towing course. She accommodated me with borrowing their truck and caravan as I don’t have the vehicles yet and talked through about my license allowance. Graham was my driving tutor and I could not recommend him high enough. He is a fantastic tutor. Graham was all the right blends of calm, confident but not at all condescending, installing confidence, humorous but professional still. He listened to me, assisted where required and commended me when he spotted a good move. I felt completely able and it was absolutely money well spent. Once I have bought my vehicle, I will be returning for a refresher. I thoroughly recommend this company. Superb company with a family run vibe. 5 stars. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my C1 practical, and Martin’s Driver Training couldn’t have been more helpful! Their support started a long time ago when Carol responded to my email enquiry promptly with C1 information, enabling me to apply for my provisional license and practice theory. Finally I passed my theory so two weeks ago I called the office and spoke to Pam who booked me in for this week. My trainer, Rob, was just brilliant. Patient, friendly, funny!! Everything I wanted in a trainer. Needless to say I am beyond grateful for the support and so happy to have passed today so I can continue my career into the ambulance service. I have told all my student paramedic friends! Thank you so much!

I had 1 and a half days worth of driving with Rob and by the end of it I felt very confident driving around Norwich in a small lorry, passing my test first time! Fantastic experience: I would like to say a great thank you to all the team who helped me on my HGV journey. The office staff were very good at explaining the process and what I needed to do to achieve my goal. My instructors were both very patient and encouraging, I was fortunate enough to do two of my tests in one day. I'm pleased my instructor encouraged me to do it. I'm now a class 1driver for a local company and have been driving for around four months. I would certainly recommend Martins driver training for anyone considering a career in the haulage industry, or for those who just need some extra categories on their licence for personal use. Fantastic experience: I passed my Cat C here on February 1st and today I have also completed my ADR with Tanks course, which was for a week. I would highly recommend MDT to anyone who is considering gaining their HGV qualification and/or additional courses, such as ADR. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming. The driving instructors are very patient, helpful and friendly, which puts you at ease straight away. As for the classroom lessons, my instructor was exceptional. He is very knowledgable about the industry and an amazing asset to MDT. The lessons contained difficult aspects, but his teaching method was so good that it made learning about ADR very interesting all week. Thank you to all at MDT. Fantastic experience: As someone who had been looking to acquire their HGV licence for the last few years, but had no real idea of where to start, I was recommended Martin's by somebody who works in the industry. From the initial email contact, I found the service nothing short of exemplary. Someone came back to me that same day with a full walkthrough on the process, starting with studying for the theory & hazard perception tests, and where to practice. Once I had completed these I was given a comprehensive cost breakdown of the training and it was scheduled in. I was lucky enough to be trained by Quint who was thorough, polite, and highly knowledgable. The great thing about this business is they don't speak as if they're talking from a script, they speak to you like you're an actual human being, and in turn have a huge investment in your progress. When I failed my reversing test the first time, the retest was scheduled before we had even returned to the office and they left me with no doubt that if I was failing, they felt like they were as well. Pam & Janet in particular were both very accommodating and always on hand to answer any queries, amend schedules and make sure everything was running smoothly. Overall it took me 5 and a half days to acquire my licence, and the experience was brilliant from start to finish, and provided a great example of how a business should be running in 2023. I will be recommending them to anyone who is looking to get into the industry, and I shall definitely be returning to acquire more qualifications in the future.

Fantastic experience: Genuinely couldn’t recommend Martins Driver Training any more highly! Passed my C+E test yesterday after a 3 day course and the whole thing from booking training with the lovely ladies in the office all the way through to passing the actual driving test I could not fault. Spoke to Jan on the phone to book in for training and test who initially said it would be towards the end of November which I had no problem with. She called back no less that 2 hours later and had a date in October which I was super pleased with. From the moment I arrived on Friday I was welcomed by Pam who was lovely, showed me around and explained a few things. My trainer Graham was top draw. Made me feel at ease and relaxed throughout the whole thing and is a real credit to the company. All the other staff I encountered were very friendly and always spoke. I had used another training provider for my Cat C last year and the whole experience cannot be compared. I can’t thank all the team at MDT enough and would recommend them to anyone.

I actually passed my Class 2 4th time so if you don't pass 1st time...don't beat yourself up, it happens more than you think. Fantastic experience: What a fantastic professional bunch. I trained for my hgv class 2 this week. The pace, content, instruction, and admin were perfect. Especial thanks must go to Rob my patient instructor and carol who both came in on a Saturday to help due to a unforseen cancellation at the test centre earlier in the week. All this and I passed so thanks again to all staff and can highly recommend this provider. Edit: Well another visit to Martin's this time for my class 1 articulated lorry training and yet again great experience. Andy was my trainer this time a great patient man with loads of experience both driving and instructing. Pace was good with just the right amount of practice for the 3a. Must confess didn't pass my 3b first time but after a couple of weeks passed with Rob assisting on second attempt so overall can't recommend the team enough. Thanks for the help to the whole team at Martin's.

Fantastic experience: As an absolute novice, Martins Driver Training guided me with advice from applying for my provisional license, providing some excellant tools for practicing and passing the theory/hazard perception tests. This then allowed me to be assessed in my actual driving (highly recommended) before commencing my C+E training, from a car license. Throughout the entire process Martins Driver Training operated in an extremely profesional, friendly manner providing information, advice and encouragement to allow me to pass on the very first attempt! All credit to everyone in the team but particularly Tim my trainer who patiently worked with me for all three days, which incidently was exactly as he predicted initially. Goes without saying that I would highly recomend this company for your driver training requirements, you will not regret it!

Fantastic experience: Had my class 2 (cat C) HGV training canceled twice due to lockdowns, Martin's Driver Training have been superb! Regular communication through out keeping me in the loop on when training would restart again. Today I passed my re-test (I failed the first test due to a silly mistake I didn't do again lol and they managed to squeeze me in just over a week later). The whole experience has been amazing, all the ladies in the office have been super, all friendly and professional, great communication and very helpful. I had most of my lessons with Lee who was a true gent, patient and encouraging. Today I was with Gary who was very entertaining and really put me at ease for my re-test. To sum up... If your in Norfolk and looking to do any HGV training, car and trailer etc you won't go wrong with these guys!

Fantastic experience: Professional, busy environment but not too busy to be great at what they do. Their staff have years of experience and it shows. Superb one to one instruction and evaluation. Well organised management in a great bona-fide school of the highest integrity. All their staff, including the instructors go that extra mile to get you through the test.

Fantastic experience: Great team of guys, got us through the cpc and ADR + tanks, plus some useful training on c+e. Learnt alot from Phill on the ADR course! Plenty of help with my driving career, guidance on difficult areas and personal experience shared. Second time I've done the ADR, the first was traumatic and boring. This time round, more has sunk in and we've all had fun learning through the week, it helps. Thanks all

Fantastic experience: I took my C1 training over 2 days this September, instructed by Kenny. Everything was as smooth as possible, from first contact with the lovely ladies in the office and getting me set up on the theory training, to the practical test. Kenny is a fantastic instructor whom managed to fill me with the confidence I needed to pass first time. Thanks to you all!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my class 2 with Martin's as a career change due to redundancy, the whole experience from start to finish was excellent, professional and friendly staff who made my training taylor made to my requirements Rob and Gary have a calming yet effective approach to training and the whole team get my highest recommendation for anyone needing driver training. Once again thank you all and see you in the future for CPC and maybe an upgrade

Fantastic experience: The staff were all really kind and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. Their instructor Lee taught me how to drive a cat c lorry with me having had no previous experience I passed first time which is a credit to the training I received.

Fantastic experience: I had my Class 2 training at Martins Driver Training, they were very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, I could ask for a better training provider, although I failed first time we went back to the start and worked specifically on what i had failed on, needless to say I passed second time round, thanks for the great service you provide! Highly recommended, I'll be returning in the new year to do my class 1 (Articulated Licence)!
