Fantastic experience: I could not recommend this riding school more! Eddie is an amazing instructor, he was patient and encouraging from my 1st lesson to passing my Mod 2! I was nervous getting on the bike as I am short and struggled to get my feet down but they had a bike appropriate for me and assured I was comfortable. Eddie and Alex went out of their way to make sure I had the lessons I needed at times that suited me with a busy schedule. I had an amazing experience at this school and would 100% recommend it! Fantastic experience: Passed this Saturday even though I was extremely nervous. It was thanks to Eddie that I gained confidence through out the day and his training was excellent and I don't say that lightly. I'm now in my mid fifties and can hand on heart say that you would struggle to find someone better to help you pass your CBT as he's not only got the necessary skills to teach but understands people. In all my years, I genuinely can't think of anyone who has trained me in any subject as well as this gentleman and he should be proud of his quality of work. Fantastic experience: Completed CBT here today after a 6 year 2 wheel sabbatical. I was quite apprehensive at first, having had a bad experience back in 2015 that put me off riding. Nick the CBT instructor was fantastic, putting me at ease and giving me the confidence to finally get back on a bike. His approach was friendly and relaxed yet informative, and I will be returning for my Mod1 and Mod2 as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: My wife got me a direct access package with the hen and chicks (ALMAXX) rider training school as a wedding anniversary gift ... and I had my first lesson today and it went amazingly well... they are amazing I would recommend them to anyone. Eddie made me feel relaxed whilst instilling the riding fundamentals. Both Alex and Eddie professionalism have gone a long way to fixing my biking confidence that's for sure. Going back to June 2019 after renewal of my CBT I had a bad experience on a larger bike working towards my mod 1 at a motorcycle school (which wont be named). This resulted in my confidence being ripped apart due to a rushed and failed mod 1 which I was put in for after just one 2 hour lesson on a 500 cc bike!!! Also within that one lesson I come off the bike on a turn due to a car not watching where he was going. I wasnt ready for the mod 1 and the school knew it and I obviously failed it . I was very damaged confidence wise.. So I'm feeling much better and the confidence is growing thanks to Eddie and Alex. So onwards and upwards to my mod1 & 2 with AL-MAXX at the hen and chicks. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I was first introduced to the hen and chickens motorcycle rider training school back in 2006 and fell in love with the guys there it’s such a relaxing atmosphere there they make you feel so at ease I was nervous my first time but after a while I calmed right down and felt so at ease it was great so ever since then I’ve been going back for one thing and another and taking my friends there but now my eldest daughter is old enough to ride so we’ve got her a bike and now she’s ready there’s only one place I would trust to train my daughter and that’s the hen and chickens rider training school because I know how nervous my daughter is going to be and I also know how the folks down there will be able to calm her down so she can relax and enjoy the training like I did once again thanks for everything over the years best service ever if I could give you 10 stars I would because you really do deserve it

I hadn't even ridden a push bike in decades, so I was a complete mess for the first few hours of my CBT, but Eddie's patience and coaching ability got me through. This continued for the next few months, as I went for my full A licence (which I'm happy to say I completed yesterday), and I can't thank him enough for getting me up to standard and making me believe I can do it.

Recently finished my DAS with these guys, all the staff are very helpful, the flexibility they offer is unmatched in terms of trying to arrange lessons around work etc!! Eddie (my instructor) was fantastic, patient as a saint knows exactly what he's talking about and was a rock when it came to the test centre. Alex was fantastic also when it came to recommending some gear to start with for when i passed, they have a great selection in store of apparel and a workshop downstairs so will be back there whenever i need anything motorbike related. Fantastic experience: Did the course for upto 125cc and it was really good, I opted to do it on auto over manual, if I ever decide to gain license above a 125 I'll definitely do it here

Fantastic experience: Please ignore my stupid Google name.... Hen and Chickens is a fantastic place to learn to ride. I first started there with my CBT back in 2015. The level of instruction was top notch, and I could tell that the instructors really cared about their students. There are schools I know of (and have read about on forums) which have a very fast turnaround on CBT days, where they get people to the absolute bare minimum (or worse, less) and slap an L plate on them at the end of the day. That's not the case here. With their tuition, you will emerge from your CBT as a fairly competent rider (not mega competent, as this comes with experience!). This should be a consideration for those of you who want to ride safely, or are looking for somewhere for your kids to train. After a while of riding independently, I took a DAS course with them. Almost all of my tuition was with Eddie, in one to one lessons, and he really helped develop me into a good rider, and break some of the bad habits I gained from spending too long on a 125 without any kind of follow up lesson. It came to the morning of the Mod One test, and I was nearly in tears because I was afraid of failing the manual handling section (as I'm not very strong physically), but Eddie showed me some great technique and worked with me all morning, and I passed first time. I failed my Mod 2 on the first go because of a bit of panic braking in busy traffic, but it was a case of lesson learned and applied. Eddie really helped me iron out those little bad habits and built my confidence up to the point where I passed second time around. Again I have to stress that they really care about their students here, and place a big emphasis on safe riding. It's a great school all around, with very friendly staff. A lot of learning to ride is about the actual riding, but having an instructor who you can have a laugh with in the test centre to calm your nerves makes a big difference. I'm looking forward to riding with Eddie sometime in the near future when I'm back up North.

Fantastic experience: I'm currently in the process of my MOD1 . I completed my CBT at another training school. I passed but didn't have the confidence to complete any further training with them as be8ng a woman I was actually made to feel I was in the wrong place as it really was a man's world. Someone recommended me to Hen and Chicken and I'm so glad they did. I made the call and booked my first lesson. Eddie my instructor is amazing, if anyone is in the perfect job it's him! He gives me the confidence and guidance I need. Ive never been made to feel out of place. Alex is a top man always happy to book my lessons around my busy work diary. Fantastic experience: I have just passed my CBT today at Hens and Chickens after 2 failed CBTs and a 1-1 lesson at another training centre in Liverpool City Centre. I was beginning to think I'd never pass and never have my own scooter then was recommended here by my cousin. I could not have passed today without the guidance of my superb instructor Eddie. He made me realise that I could do it and built my confidence up over the course of the morning preparing me to go out onto the road in the afternoon. Fantastic experience: Great riding school. The staff are all helpful and friendly. I arrived having only ever sat on a bike for my CBT 9 months previous. Ian got me straight into it and had me ready for my MOD 1 in no time and even helped get me an earlier test. Just passed my MOD 2 last week on my first go. Very professional staff who won't push extra lessons you don't need. Can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Great school. Took my CBT at the start of September, and passed my Mod 2 test yesterday. Passed on the first attempt with both Mods 1 & 2. These guys are very knowledgeable but, more importantly, they know how to teach that knowledge. They can break down what you're doing wrong, and how to fix it, as you go. Recommended to anyone in the Merseyside area (and beyond if you can make the trip).

Fantastic experience: 6 weeks ago I was riding a push bike, now I'm riding a Suzuki Bandit. CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 all passed first time with no previous experience of motorbikes, down to great trainers at Almaxx.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the Hen & Chickens riding school for all their hard work and patience, especially Ian (my instructor) I would recomend anyone that wants to start riding a motorbike to contact this riding school first. Like i said at the beginning, patience, they have a lot and they talk you through everything, they work around you. Get in touch and ask for Alex Peterson (Director), once in touch ask to be trained by Ian, i myself didn't ride with any instructor other than Big Ian :) Thanks guys. Oh, just one last thing, i now ride a Yamaha MT 09, good recommendation Ian.
