Negative experience: Awful and non existent communication with this company! My instructor cancels almost every other lesson and I’ve got nowhere to even report it too! He is also very rude and unprofessional!

Negative experience: Would not recommend the instructor Mike kirwan told me I was not ready for my test less than a week before my test, was extremely protective of his car any mistake I made was followed by tense silence after the fact, wasn’t encouraging and frankly I’m quite disappointed with the services I received given the amazing reviews the company has I would have thought there would be more forgiving and encouraging instructors

Fantastic experience: Passed first time! For the past 3 months had lessons with Ste Wright, still not sure how I got so lucky getting a great instructor. Was flexible to work around my work days, every lesson learned lots and got myself feeling comfortable behind the wheel. Had a great experience, couldn't recommend more. Thank you Ste Wright, top man!

Negative experience: Instructor parked on completely on the pavement on double yellow lines outside St Helens hospital yesterday. Loads of legal parking options a little up the road, just a blatant lack of respect for traffic rules which is pretty bad for a professional driving instructor.

Negative experience: Instructor with pupil pulled up in front of my drive today while I was literally sat in my car trying to get out for work! Refused to move until he had “finished explaining” when there was lots of space elsewhere on the road. Knob!

Fantastic experience: Derar is a brilliant driving instructor he will 100% get you ready and passed for driving I recommend him

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend the driving instructor SIMON RANDLES he was terrible for time keeping made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy on every lesson when he eventually turned up. Also used to bring me home early every lesson and expect full payment. Would scream at me during lessons making me feel uneasy telling me I wasn’t good enough! As a 19 year old girl at the time who’s own father doesn’t speak to me this way I was distraught at his actions and on a few occasions I asked SIMON to take me back home as his behaviour was vile. I did rise this problem to the owners at OOSH driving school but nothing ever happened as he is good friends with the owner. Disgusting behaviour as I paid his wages! Would not let your son or daughter learn with Simon. I had my test booked and Simon told me a week before that he was not taking me for it. Thank god for Alan at Chris Kelly who was the best driving instructor I could have ever wished for after the experience with Simon! Who helped me pass second time! Amazing driving instructor. Avoid Simon Randles from oosh driving school.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend ooosh driving school. After years of putting off my lessons and being an older driver, i was told by many people that the person to help me would be Tony Crist. From start to finish Tony has an amazing driving instructor , he put me at ease and built up my confidence especially with me being such a nervous driver and made me believe that I could do it, 13 months later and I finally passed first time. Tony is exceptional at what he does, he is such a friendly man who has so much experience and knowledge and explains everything through. I shall miss my weekly lessons with Tony, but I wouldn't have passed with Tony he has changed my life and he has given me a skill I never thought I'd ever be able to do ... thank you so much for everything you have done for me Tony, you are amazing!

Fantastic experience: Started with oosh with some experience already with previous instructors i was a nervous driver who needed consistency this is what oosh driving school gave me which let to me passing first time I would definitely recommend as consistency as a learner driver is what we need to understand the topics thoroughly ready for the test Passed with Tony Christ

This is Lenny his student I couldn’t have wished for a better driving instructor and I will miss him. We had laughs and he taught me to be a safe driver and taught me well he did. Negative experience: I hope you teach your students not to park in parent and child parking spaces at supermarkets when they have no children with them. Shame the instructors don’t abide by the same rules!!

Negative experience: Can't comment on the standard of driving tuition but customer service is very bad. I have tried to contact them several times and just keep getting automatic responses about someone getting in touch. I had someone ask for my post code and then no response after that. I tried facebook twice and through their website twice and continued to get ignored. I wanted to go with this school to support a newer smaller business but the service I have/haven't received isn't up to scratch.

Negative experience: We arranged for lessons through Ooosh driving school, after a first set of lessons we paid £600 for more which weren't delivered. Replacement lessons had to be paid for separately. First instructor turned out to be unqualified second instructor cancelled lessons ahead of test without telling us. We're still waiting for a refund. Back in Dec 2020 we bought vouchers for our daughters driving lessons. Ooosh assigned us a driving instructor, Mike. However, because of COVID it took 9 months before he saw us in September 2021. Lessons started in October 2021. Mike was unreliable, would cancel and delay lessons or just not turn up. We complained to Jamie Traynor who runs Ooosh. He said they would arrange another instructor, but didn't. In the end Mike told us that his wife had a cancer scare and so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. After a few months Mike said that Lily needed another 10 two hour lessons which was £600, we paid after he sent a message saying that Jamie was pushing for quick payment. A couple of weeks after paying and before any of the lessons, Mike said that there had been a family tragedy and that he couldn't give lessons for a few weeks. He asked that we didn't arrange a new instructor because of all the problems he'd had. Our daughter was keen to stick with Mike. When we contacted him again three weeks later he said that he couldn't start lessons until April. When we tried to get in touch with him in March, he didn't respond, so we got back in touch with Ooosh. Jamie replied and said "I thought this was sorted" and that he "had to get rid of Mike because of these issues" Ooosh arranged for a new instructor, "Magic" Mark and I had assumed that the money we had paid would cover this new instructor, but that was wrong. I was told that I had to get the money back from Mike and pay the other instructor separately. Ooosh took no responsibility for Mike's behaviour. Eventually I was able to get in touch with Mike, he offered to refund but then didn't. I offered to split it into two payments of £300 but that wasn't paid. We kept trying to get the money back but no use. On Jamie Traynor's advice we started a money claim against Mike in July. In the meantime we continued lessons with the new instructor Mark and arranged a date for the driving test in coordination with him. We then paused lessons while A-levels were taken and while we moved house. When we contacted Mark to resume lessons we were told that he now couldn't give Lily lessons as he had subsequently booked something else at the time of the test and that he'd asked Jamie to arrange a new instructor. We put the claim against Mike on hold when it became apparent that Ooosh's terms and conditions meant that they were responsible for the lessons (they've subsequently changed them) So we are still in the process of trying to get a refund from Ooosh. During this time, it emerged that during one driving lesson Mike had taken our daughter to a fish and chip shop in Southport and had spent the time looking out over the sea while eating chips. He said that he'd make up the time in a later lesson, which he didn't. "Magic" Mark also used lesson time to nip to Tesco to get lunch. Ooosh take no responsibility for their driving instructors and cannot be trusted.

Fantastic experience: Only been learning to drive for 6 months and derar has got me passed already he is an amazing instructor that went into detail about how to drive the car and helped me to understand how it all works just passed this morning book your lessons with derar!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Derar is by far the best instructor i have ever had the pleasure of annoying, and there's been a few over the years 15 in total, taking lessons on and off, failing tests repeatedly calming presence easy teaching and just a really nice person thank you OOOSH and thank you Derar

I have been having lessons with Andrew who is very calm, friendly and explains everything very clearly, I would definitely highly recommend him as an instructor! Also due to timing before my test I had some lessons with Derar who also let me use his car for my test! He was incredibly patient and kind and leading up to my test I felt more confident and happier in my abilities. He also explains everything in a clear manner and definitely put me at ease before my test. I also highly recommend Derar as an instructor!! Thanks OOOSH for the best instructors!! :)

Fantastic experience: I took my lessons with Ben Foster from Southport and he was very knowledgeable in his driving and test awareness but most important he translated that into easy to understand lessons and explanations that really helped me get through the test with flying colours. 10 out of 10 would recommend, thanks Ben!

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend OOOSH enough! I learnt with Phil Bond, who not only helped me prepare for my test but also taught me skills to help my driving after i passed my test. He was unbelievably patient, and put so much time and effort into my lessons. His teaching style is unique and he has lots of different methods to help you learn. My confidence increased massively after just a few lessons with Phil after learning under a different instructor for the last 2 years, and i finally passed 3rd time, but first time under my new instructor. Thank you so much to Phil and OOOSH!

Negative experience: Left numerous online contact requests to book lessons. called number and left messsges. Had one return automated response to which I then replied. Still no response after trying for over a month. Will now look elsewhere after trying to support a local business

Negative experience: Witnessed one of these "instructors" today doing 40mph in a 30mph zone past a school, he then proceeded to drive straight out on a roundabout with no indicator and failing to give way to obvious on coming traffic from the right. If this is the standard of your instructors then shame on you. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone

Negative experience: They teach drivers to jump red lights in st Helens. Disgusting and when you message them on Facebook they block you

Fantastic experience: I had my lessons with Ste Wright. he is such an amazing instructor, very patient, friendly, and explained everything we did really well. he made me confident in my driving and it all led to me passing my test the first time!! I'm so appreciative to him for putting up with me! I really can't recommend him enough! If you're ever looking for lessons near Ormskirk, ask for Ste Wright! I assure you he will get you that pass!

Negative experience: Been waiting since 2018, the service has been atrocious. Reached out multiple times and no one got back in contact. Wasn't until I made my 1st complaint, they told me they would get back within a month. No one responded, until I made my 2nd complaint. Instructor texted me and I replied on the same day after work and all the slots were apparently gone. Would not recommend this company to anybody looking to pass in 3 years.

Fantastic experience: Superb! I cannot recommend Ste Wright from Ooosh driving school more highly. When we contacted the company, to arrange lessons for our 17 year old son, Ste responded very quickly and went out of his way to arrange a lesson on our son’s 17th birthday. He is very approachable, patient and a brilliant teacher. My son loved his lessons and passed his test first time yesterday with only a couple of minor faults. To quote our son, “Good job, Ste!” Thank you so much to you and Ooosh for your excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Stu I passed my extended driving test with one minor fault. He taught me everything I needed to know for the test. I had one lesson with another driving school which was awful as there was no fault correction or information given to me about how I should be driving to pass the test. Stu is professional, knowledgeable and always punctual and I highly recommend to take lessons with Stu if you want to get onto the road faster.

Fantastic experience: Had Alex as my driving instructor (automatic). He’s one of the most patient yet professional driving instructors money can buy. I’ve had difficult experiences with driving instructors as most of the time they become frustrated. However, Alex is not like that. He will go through every procedure you do not understand and goes out his own way to help you when you are really struggling. Truly a great person, I would definitely recommend Alex as a driving instructor .

Fantastic experience: We cannot thank Ian at Ooosh enough for the fantastic tuition. He put Aimee at ease from day one with his calmness and patience and because of that she has loved learning to drive. Aimee enjoyed your chats and she said this helped keep her relaxed and not over think when she did things wrong! He has explained everything so well and the visual diagrams he showed made it easy for her to learn when she went wrong! For example at THE roundabout Leading up to Aimees test, Ian really helped her to focus on her weak points and this resulted in zero faults on her test. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ian to anyone wanting to learn to drive! Hope you're ready for Ellie in two years!

Fantastic experience: Many driving instructors sell themselves as “good with anxious drivers” - 90% are lying - OOOSH, however, were spot on! I don’t think I once felt anxious in the car with Jamie! I actually feel so confident as a driver which I NEVER thought would happen and you get a free pizza when you pass, too!
