Train with Jane Automatic or Manual Driving instructor

Fantastic experience: Ive just passed my driving test first time with no minors, all thanks to Jane May from Train With Jane! She was calm, a joy to be around and extremely patient with me throughout our time together. Her lessons began with a talk through off everything we wanted to achieve by the end of the lesson, with questions about how i was feeling and how much control and guidance i would want throughout the lesson. This was amazing for me as i was very nervous to drive when our lessons began but, with her clear lesson plan, it allowed me to grow and progress to the point of feeling very comfortable driving with very minimal input by Jane May, although i knew she was always there and ready to help if needed. She was extremely professional yet approachable throughout, always ready to answer any questions i had, no matter how stupid some of them might have been! I cannot recommend Jane May from Train With Jane enough! Thank you!

She is very calm and wise, and gave me lots of tips at the end of each lesson. Today I finally drove all alone thanks to her.

As someone who takes a little longer than most people to process things and to learn, Jane was always so patient, calming, and reassuring, and not only that but she is generally so kind, lovely and helped me get a first time pass with 0 faults today!! Fantastic experience: After years of being to terrified of driving to learn yesterday at 33 years old I passed my test! I can honestly say that I could not have done it without Jane, she didn’t just teach me how to pass a test she built my confidence in real world driving. We did lessons with my baby in the back to help me get used to distractions, we did practical routes like going to the hospital, longer journeys to places I would like to regularly visit and even covered motorways and country roads. Jane is wonderful, easy to get along with, patient and a great teacher for anyone but especially a nervous driver like myself who thought I would never master a roundabout!

Fantastic experience: Jane is the loveliest driving instructor you’ll ever meet! Jane made me feel so comfortable and reassured at all times in the car even when i used to doubt myself and get into silly panics!! She knew exactly what to say to calm me down and get my confidence rocket high again. Fantastic experience: I passed earlier this month after having lessons with Jane. I honestly could not recommend her enough! Jane really helped to build my confidence in the road and behind the wheel. Her lessons covered all the skills needed to make competent and confident drivers who are safe on the roads. She creates such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in her car and I definitely felt at ease straight away with Jane unlike an experience I had had with a previous instructor, it helps that she was as happy to have a chat and a gossip with me and deep discussions whilst we were driving, building confidence but also placing importance on teaching. Not only in helping with the driving but Jane was also so supportive and helpful when it came to finding cancellations and moving test dates. I thought I would never learn to drive due to anxiety but Jane made it all possible and I cannot thank nor recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: Training with Jane was the best decision I made! After a few lessons with a different instructor, I decided to swap and learn with Jane. After our first telephone conversation I was left feeling empowered and excited to start my driving journey again. From the start, Jane was nothing but kind, caring and SO supportive. I was very nervous when it came to driving but week by week my nerves became less and less. Although Jane ensured we stuck to the content we needed to cover within the lesson, I was always asked what I would like to focus on during the lesson. This ensured that lessons were tailored to me and were meeting my needs. After each lesson we reflected which enabled me to identify areas I was not as confident in. I was always supported to battle this and become competent in them. Not only did we cover essential driving skills, we also covered other areas of driving. Such as putting petrol in, checking tyre pressure and checking engine oil. This has made the transition from a learner to a car owner SO much easier! Being a Student Midwife and my course being a mix of placement and theory, my availability for each week would differ. Jane was so adaptable and always tried to fit me in where she could and work around my availability to ensure lessons were regular. Jane’s approach to lessons was always person centred. I always felt listened to, supported and encouraged by her. By the end I felt so confident in driving and lessons felt like going on a casual drive with a friend. I loved EVERY lesson with Jane and strongly encourage anyone learning to drive to train with Jane!

At the time, I had not driven in 12 years and I knew I would need an exceptional instructor to overcome the difficulties and concerns I had.
