Lendrum's Driving School Bursledon Manual | Automatic Lessons

A Decade of Dedicated Instruction in the South

Established in 2010, Lendrum’s Driving School has built a strong reputation for helping learners in Southampton and surrounding areas like Bursledon, Winchester, and Portsmouth. With over a decade of experience, the school prides itself on offering a supportive environment that fosters confidence and safety on the road. The team consists of fully qualified instructors who are dedicated to guiding students through every stage of the learning process, from initial theory preparation to mastering complex reversing maneuvers.

Patient, Adaptive Teaching Styles

What consistently stands out in student reviews is the exceptional patience and adaptability of the instructors. Many learners arrive with significant anxiety or previous negative experiences, and instructors such as John, Mark E., Marie, and Christine are frequently praised for their ability to ease nervousness. They tailor their teaching methods to individual learning styles, often using humor and clear explanations to make lessons enjoyable and effective. Instructors are noted for identifying weak points early and working meticulously to turn them into strengths, with many students passing their practical tests on the first attempt.

Modern Fleet and Comprehensive Training

The school offers a diverse range of training vehicles, ensuring students can learn in comfortable and well-maintained cars. The fleet includes popular models such as the Mini Cooper, Ford Fiesta Eco Drive, Volkswagen Golf, and Peugeot 208. Lendrum’s provides lessons in both manual and automatic transmissions, catering to different learner preferences. Additionally, the school supports those seeking to advance their skills with options like Pass Plus and motorway driving lessons, as well as specialized training for those becoming ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors), a program where founder John Lendrum is particularly highly regarded.

Flexible Service and Student Success

Students appreciate the flexibility offered by the instructors, who often accommodate busy schedules, work commitments, and even travel to pickup locations far from home. This commitment extends to providing regular feedback and ensuring clear communication throughout the course. The school’s focus on building long-term competence rather than just passing a test is evident in the testimonials, where many alumni express continued gratitude and confidence in their driving abilities years after passing.

Trusted by Learners for Years

With a vast majority of reviews highlighting successful outcomes and exceptional service, Lendrum’s Driving School remains a top choice for new drivers. The combination of experienced staff, a reliable vehicle fleet, and a genuinely caring approach has created a community of confident drivers. Whether starting from scratch or refining existing skills, students consistently report that the lessons are well-organized, professional, and ultimately rewarding.
