Fantastic experience: I came to Latch having previously been with another instructor, thoroughly demoralised after hours spent going round and round the same block of roads without progression. Latch changed all that immediately. I always knew I would find learning to drive hard and I am a nervous driver, but Latch pushed me to progress my driving skills ever since I started lessons with him. He has high standards but is always calm, friendly and confident - the latter came as a surprise after being with an instructor who seemed to have no confidence at all, and I didn't realise until learning with Latch what a valuable quality in an instructor that is. I was supposed to take my test in a private car but it came up with a fault a few weeks before the test - back and forth to the garage and couldn't be fixed. At very short notice Latch kept his car free for me for the test, and in the days before went above and beyond to make sure I was fully prepared. I passed today with 1 minor and couldn't be happier - if he can get me through, he can surely get anyone through! Many many thanks to Latch for all his help and support! Excellent driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time and was so happy. Latch is brilliant. Strict but fair. Did once a week for a while then he got me on a few a week and doing manoeuvres. Doing some post test training with him aswell because he has been so good and it'll definitely help for getting me on motorways, night time driving and other advanced manoeuvres!

Negative experience: This guy decided to cut us up on the motorway into Portsmouth, and gestured aggressively at us - not really a great look for a driving instructor

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Latch as an instructor enough. I started having lessons with him after some bad experiences with my previous instructor. It was fair to say my confidence was low! Latch is a super supportive and patient instructor. I feel as though the lessons I took with him have given me a strong foundation to take into my independent driving. Latch is top guy as well as a top instructor.

Not only was he a great teacher, he was full of knowledge and had great methods in teaching me out of a few bad habits. Fantastic experience: Latch is brilliant. He’s the best driver I’ve ever seen, and he’s excellent at passing that on. I passed with one minor. He sets a high bar, but he’s kind about it, and you’ll be glad he had a high bar once you reach your test and find it’s not as hard! I did a 22 hour course off the back of some decent experience driving but lots of stuff that needed tidying up. Over four days he took my driving to the next level and we had some lovely chats too. Kind of sad it’s over! Would recommend 110%.

Fantastic experience: So k matched with latch on pass me fast and did a 20hr intensive. I’m 29 and gave up driving previously because I hated it. Hated my instructor and hated driving and my first words to latch were “I cba for this, dreading this week I hate driving” and latch really changed my mind. I had a great week learning news skills and having banter with latch, he let me drive with freedom and make mistakes without being overly critical or pedantic. I had a wobble the morning of test day and he gave me a stern talking to and really kicked me back into gear and I passed first time! Would really reccomend latch to anyone especially those who want an instructor with a bit of personality. I’m a little sad it’s over but job done thank you latch!

Fantastic experience: Before meeting Latch I had roughly six manual instructors. All of which I had to quit because of their teaching style and the way they would communicate with me. That resulted in me switching to automatic and gaining my driver's license. However, circumstances as of recent required me to have a manual license and then I got in contact with him through a friend who had passed with him. Turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made this year. Took him one week, roughly 8 hours to teach me what others have been trying to for months with fail. Latch has a perfect way of communicating, making you feel relaxed whilst driving but also letting you know when you can do better. Latch was worth every single penny and I would recommend him to the world if I could. I'm about to start my new job all thanks to Latch and his lessons.

Fantastic experience: Latch is a terrific instructor, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. He is an expert driver and has an outstanding demeanor in delivering that knowledge to his students. I also appreciated that the level of his instruction is higher than what is needed to pass the practical driving exam—something I believe greatly increases chances of success on the exam, but even more importantly results in safer driving! Fantastic experience: Genuinely, I couldn't have asked for a better instructor! I completed a 40-hour intensive course with Latch with little-to-no previous driving experience (one or two laps of a car park). He was friendly from the get-go, his initial assessment was absolutely spot on and we progressed through the course at completely the correct pace for me. He was patient when I made mistakes but was firm in making sure I corrected them. I was able to concentrate when I needed to but we had some top chats and banter whilst driving around. He delivered instructions in the same manner an examiner would which meant mock tests and the real thing weren't a massive shock to the system. But the main quality that stood out to me was his genuine and thorough passion for driving safely around the streets of Southampton: he had polished techniques for every manoeuvre; impressive awareness in every situation; and he knew every street back to front. Result: I passed first time with only three minors (incl. one really silly one that he won't let me live down!) I know it sounds too good to be true, but it's true. It's why I'll be hitting him up for some motorway practice soon as well. Thanks, bud!

Fantastic experience: I came to Latch after doing some lessons elsewhere in the country with a different instructor. I had 10 hours with Latch before my test and he did an excellent job and improving my driving style and making me more confident. He will be strict with you, but he is very fair and will definitely make you a better driver. If I had him as an instructor from the beginning I could have passed much sooner, but he still managed to help me pass my test with only 1 minor. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I did the intensive course for 35hrs and passed my first test with one fault (for a pretty silly reason admittedly ) Latch was supremely helpful and got me to a level where, though I was nervous for the test, I was confident I could pass. Bring a sense of humour and some self belief and Latch will bring the confidence and ability out of you! Though he may seem stern occasionally, it’s with the best intentions, and as long as you listen and learn, you’ll pass with ease! 10/10 top bloke!

Made time for my classes in very short notice, was flexible with the timing and he made sure I ‘tidy’ up before I appeared before the exam with every parts of driving skills. Fantastic experience: I've had lessons with many drivers as I've moved around the country quite a bit. But Latchman exceeds the lot by miles. He won't just teach you to drive. I can assure you, he'll make you a GOOD driver. When I started with Latchman, it came to our notice that a lot of what I had learned previously was not to good standard but through EYE2EYE, we straightened it out very quickly and I passed first time!
