Fantastic experience: Stuart was really patient, kind and fair whilst teaching me how to drive. I was a very nervous driver to begin with and he intuitively understood my personality quickly, finding effective ways to keep me calm and collected so I didn’t do anything daft! Thank you Stuart for providing a safe and supportive space, and guiding me towards my 0 fault pass!!!

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Stuart at Aberdrive to anyone wanting to learn to drive. Stuart is very patient and not only wants you to pass, but to pass well with confidence and safety. By using varied roads and routes, Stuart made sure I experienced many different situations that I would likely come across as a solo driver. It was great having a regular slot at the same time each week, and Stuart was flexible with my work and study pattern. Having an app made it easy to keep track of lessons and I was able to request extra lessons through the app too. The progress book Stuart provided allowed me each week to reflect on what I'd learnt each lesson, was proficient in, and importantly what we still had to cover. Stuart is obviously very proficient and knowledgeable as what's required to make a good driver and I was well prepared for my test. Not only did I pass first time with only 1 minor, but thanks to Stuart I feel confident and my nerves are at bay when driving myself!

I highly recommended Stuart who goes above and beyond by providing an in-depth informative driving E-book and workbook with lesson plans to aid learning and progression. Stuart was very accommodating from finding us a suitable lesson slot to fit in with my son’s school timetable to fitting in extra lessons in a very short period of time. We've had many conversations, laughed at the silliest of stuff and he has allowed me to cry so much. He has taught me how to actually drive, with confidence, and because of that I passed my test first time! I would recommend him to everyone :D

Fantastic experience: i could not recommend stuart more highly to anyone looking for a driving instructor. stuart is kind, funny and will always take things at your pace while gently challenging you as he sees & believes in your capabilities more than yourself. when i first started lessons, i never thought that i’d get to the point of driving independently however, thanks to stuart, i passed my test first time. words cannot express how grateful i am.

Fantastic experience: Stuart is such an amazing instructor, not only is he patient and kind he has always been so aware of my needs as a driver making sure that I am pushed to the best of my ability yet still keeping the environment as supportive and understanding as possible. Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Stuart more! Passed with AberDrive today with 3 minors having failed 4 tests previously with other instructors and honestly never thought i’d be able to do it! Stuart is firm but fair. He will tell you if you are making mistakes, something my previous instructors didn’t do which resulted in false hope. However, he will praise you and encourage you when you are doing well! I don’t think there could be a more nervous student than me with as little confidence in myself, but Stuart never let me give up and always believed in me and my abilities and i could have never done it without him :) Only regret i have is not taking lessons with him in the first place :)

Fantastic experience: I was lucky to have Stuart as a driving instructor. He taught me how to be not only a good driver but a safe driver. Can’t recommend him enough! Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars I would! As someone who knew before going into driving lessons that i’d be very nervous due to anxiety and difficulty with multitasking, Stuart made every step of the way so fun and easy. the patience he has is second to none and he really gives you the skills on how to OWN and DRIVE a car for life - not just how to pass the test. He has so many resources for learning even when you’re not in his car which really helps with nerves and any questions you may have. (coming from someone who asks waaaay too many questions) He adjusts his teaching on how YOU learn best which is fantastic as everyone obviously learns in very different ways and speeds. he said to me on my first lesson ‘we go at YOUR speed - not mine’. I passed first time and I never ever ever thought it was even possible for me to get to that stage. I can say hand on heart that if i had gone with any other instructor I wouldn’t have continued learning to drive after the first few lessons and I am forever grateful for the recommendation of Aberdrive. 10000/10 !!

Positive experience: Stuart was a good driving instructor. He helped me go through the early stages of driving when I felt anxious and felt like I wasn't going to be able to drive. He especially helped massively on my test day to calm my nerves and I ended up passing first time.

Fantastic experience: Coming from the US, I was aware that driving in the UK would be vastly different, but I wasn’t prepared for how bad my driving habits had gotten. Stuart was extremely patient with my downright dreadful driving, and we worked from the ground up to rectify that. Seriously, the man should be considered for sainthood. Fantastic experience: Stuart is an amazing driving instructor. I had years of driving in other countries, which meant I had some bad habits to get rid of and quite a bit of anxiety over driving on the left-hand side of the road. I also had never driven a manual car before. Stuart took the time to help me with my nerves and patiently instructed me on ways to replace my bad habits with new routines to help me drive better. He knows just when to push someone to do better or when to make a joke to help relieve some tension. He ensured that I had all the skills to pass my driving test and that I was in a good frame of mind for the test – I was not sure I was ready for my test, but he was sure. Because of all of this I was able to pass my test on my first try with zero faults. Thanks so much Stuart!

Stuart Craigen was my instructor for a two hour lesson the day before my test and I can’t thank him enough for everything. Fantastic experience: Learning with Aberdrive was a very pleasant experience. It taught me all the skills to drive in a way which was very enjoyable and relaxed. There was never a time I regretted being in the car as I always knew I would learn something new, something that would have a positive impact on my driving. Th e pace was always right for me and my instructor always made sure to keep me informed of my progress and what I required to work on for the next lesson.

Stuart doesn't just teach you how to pass - he teaches you the fundamentals needed to be a successful driver for a lifetime. Result? 1st-time pass; over 20 000 miles (including 13 00 miles on the motorway) and the ability to confidentially drive within Europe - all within the 1st year of passing my test.
