Fantastic experience: I was recommended Dave through my partners family due to his excellent way of teaching and after doing my first lesson with him myself I knew Dave was the best instructor for me. I've always struggled with the fear of failing which ended up making me nervous of too hesitant when driving. I did have several lessons years ago but I decided to fully commit to getting a license this time so my driving ability was timid and cautious but Dave helped me to pick up driving and his teaching methods are excellent. We went around the test center route to get familiar with the area which boosted my confidence even more. I will be recommending Dave to anyone that is looking to learn to drive and I hope strangers on here take a leap of faith with him, he's the best in the business!

Fantastic experience: I got in touch with Dave after my previous driving instructor had to close his business, Dave was so accommodating and really helped me out last minute when I had a test in 2 months and no instructor! I really struggled with anxiety around driving, but Dave was so calm, patient and kind he really helped me settle my nerves. Fantastic experience: I chose Dave because of the outstanding reviews he has and his track record for getting pupils through their tests with a cool and calm attitude. Everyone spoke about how his approach was very practical and focused on letting the pupil drive and that really appealed to me as a hands-on learner. I loved that the only times we stopped driving were to learn a new manoeuvre or take a moment to have a break. He was really clear with his instructions and told you everything you needed to know without overwhelming you with details right away. He was amazing at forcing you to practice things you said you didn’t like, if you say you hate doing it, expect to practice many times! It was the best way to overcome any fears I had and I appreciate it a lot. I would absolutely recommend Dave to friends. I never imagined I would pass first time with only 3 faults and that’s down to Dave’s patience and expertise. Fantastic experience: I choose Dave Pester driving school after a horrible experience with another instructor which left me scared to drive after he shouted at me. Dave is so kind, laid back, caring & above all else understands, I always felt comfortable & excited for my next lesson. Even when I didn’t get things right first time Dave was still there boosting my confidence every time cheering me on. I would recommend Dave to everyone but especially anyone who is worried or nervous because Dave will definitely take that worry away. Being able to drive has & will change my life completely, I always put driving on the back burner but now I’ve done something for myself in life before turning 34. Fantastic experience: i chose Dave Pester Driving School because he come highly recommended by my best friend Dave made learning to drive so easy, he had confidence in me even when i had zero clue Dave was so patient and kind i’d recommend DPDS to anyone i know that is wanting to learn, Dave was so encouraging and never got upset when you didn’t quite understand something Being able to drive means so much to me, my brother lives far away so being able to visit him with ease is such an important thing! i’ll probably drive to work first my advice is to just do it. being scared is not possible when you are in control. i honestly can’t think of a single thing that could have been done better. Fantastic experience: The reviews on Dave’s website were very good. Dave was a very excellent teacher to me and i felt very comfortable with dave while driving. Dave’s teaching methods i found very good since on our first lesson we drove to a spot and he just put me in the drivers seat and told me to drive. i will recommend Dave to a friend because he is a very comforting teacher. everything is perfect.

The process was easier and more enjoyable than I had expected thanks to the confidence instilled in me by Dave! I found Dave's teaching methods very effective, the emphasis on spending as much of the lessons driving as possible made the process really enjoyable and I really looked forward to my lessons. Positive experience: I found Dave Pester Driving School when looking online for local driving instructors, and chose him after a quick, informative response to my initial enquiry. I’d had no driving experience whatsoever when I started, but I found the lessons that I had relatively easy. As a learner driver you inevitably make mistakes, but I really liked how Dave explained where I’d gone wrong and how I could change it next time. I have already recommended Dave to my best friend to do some mock tests, as these really helped me before my test so I knew what to expect. Fantastic experience: After the first lesson I knew that I made the right choice because of how simple you made everything seem compared to the instructor I had before, everything became so easy after it was just explained to me calmly and properly. He made me feel calm & whenever I felt nervous he'd instantly be able to calm me down. On the exam day I was nervous but dave just told me to "Just Drive" & it will work out & it did & I passed with 2 faults. Fantastic experience: I came to Dave after having another driving instructor, I never thought I would enjoy driving again but Dave bought my spark back! He creates a relaxed and stress free environment as soon as you set foot into the car, I was personally quite an anxious driver but Dave did his best to help me overcome my anxiety around driving. In Dave’s lessons you get to drive a lot and you get to experience lots of different scenarios on the road, which is great, in one of my lessons I even drove 30 miles! I couldn’t recommend Dave enough, it took me a while to pass but Dave kept up with high positivity and enthusiasm and I got there in the end. Fantastic experience: Dave pester driving school was referred to me by a family member. Before hand I was extremely nervous and my mind was racing. He took me to some nice quiet roads which was perfect for anyone’s first lesson as it eases your mind and it was populated by a lot of other learners. He’s a very patient man and has never shown any aggression, he’s easy to talk to and we never had an awkward moment. When I make mistakes he explains the problem and how to prevent it in the future which is extremely helpful. I would recommend because of his effectiveness, reasonable prices and he’ll always do whatever he can for you.

Fantastic experience: Heard of Dave through friends as i was looking for instructors and didn’t know what to expect. Quite nervous at first as it was all new, but Dave really helped me out. In a short space of time he was able to teach me all the tips and tricks for driving, and ultimately helped me pass my test with minimal faults. Fantastic experience: I’d already had lessons with Dave through a previous Driving School and when Covid hit, unfortunately that took an unexpected break. Then when Dave contacted me to let me know he had set up his own driving school, it really was a no-brainer that I would want to pick up lessons again with him. I always expected learning to drive would be a challenge, as I was quite nervous out on the road, but Dave was great in putting those nerves at ease with his easy going attitude and great sense of humour. Coming back after lockdown wasn’t easy but I found that I was back up to my previous ability levels in no time. Dave was great in making availability for me after such a long pause. Throughout learning with Dave he was always great at tailoring his teaching methods to my driving style and made me aware of my areas for improvement in a positive way. Which was great as I’m a glass half empty kind of person! I couldn’t recommend Dave Pester Driving School enough as Dave will make you feel comfortable learning to drive and make you feel ready for your test day. My brother is looking to start learning as well and I’ve already passed on details for DPDS. I don’t have anything negative to say at all about DPDS or Dave’s tuition! Fantastic experience: I can get very anxious and expected learning to drive to be scary and difficult - I've never been so good at "practical" work! My first instructor was quite "gruff" and unsympathetic when I didn't learn fast, so at first learning was exactly what I'd feared. After changing to Dave, learning was much easier. Dave's teaching methods were very encouraging, kind and responsive to my needs. I grew massively in confidence. He uses a good balance of praise and points for improvement, always explaining if I asked. It progressed very quickly but it was otherwise what I expected from driving lessons and his teaching methods were really good as it allowed me to get good practice of different situations and help where I needed it. Dave started teaching our son Adam only in May and he successfully passed his driving test today, at his first attempt. Dave's patients and easy going nature, makes you feel at ease. Fantastic experience: I got a couple of strong recommendations for Dave from the local community at Orpington. When I first spoke with him, he was very welcoming. I checked out some of their reviews on their social media pages and was convinced that my search for an instructor is over. I started with Dave as an experienced driver from another country. I had to learn the UK- way of driving and he assessed my abilities fairly quickly and tailored a learning plan for me in no time. The lessons were more relaxed and stress free than I had expected. The lessons were sufficiently practical and allowed me to maintain my driving style while learning finer nuances of driving in UK. To be honest, the process was a lot easier than expected, maybe because I understood quickly that driving is a lot about being calm under pressure and taking on what Dave said to improve. Learning to drive wasn’t as difficult as my son had expected, and Dave had a good way of making learning everything pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Dave teaches in a relaxed way that means my son didn’t get too anxious or stressed, as Dave is very calm and even tempered.
