Fantastic experience: I started manual lessons with Adam a few months ago, and I never would have believed I’d feel as confident driving a manual as I do today. Adam was incredibly supportive and attentive, tailoring his explanations and demonstrations to match my learning style. He not only covered the ‘what’ but also the ‘why’ and ‘how,’ which I really appreciated. It’s clear he’s passionate about training safe and skilled drivers, and his expertise made me much more confident on the road—especially since I was superrrr nervous about switching from automatic. I can’t recommend Let’s Torque Driving School enough!

Fantastic experience: Michael is a professional instructor who taught me to become a safe driver, gain confidence as well as pass a test. He is very calm, patient and trustworthy which made me relaxed as I was quite nervous to start. Michael was fully supportive throughout the entire process, explained everything very well which made my learning experience absolutely enjoyable. I could not have asked for a better driving instructor! I would recommend this driving school to anyone thinking of starting to learn how to drive.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Let’s Torque Driving school. What a fantastic place to learn to drive, I’m so glad I found them. Where do I start?.. Are you sitting comfortably?… then I’ll begin! Right from the jump I felt valued with the school. I contacted them after having a bad experience with a previous teacher which led me to stop driving altogether. It knocked my confidence and whilst still wanting to drive, I felt anxious about the idea of being in the car and finding a new teacher. I sent messages to a few schools, but can say that ‘Let’s Torque’ had a really great way of responding. Adam replied to my enquiry pretty quickly and gave me a break down of everything I could expect from the school, and really took the time with his response over the space of 3-4 messages. Upon hearing about my previous bad experience, he called to reassure me that I would not experience anything of the sorts with him. He told me about the school, and what he’d done before, and just generally a bit about who he was - as well as telling me a bit about Michael (my soon to be Auto instructor) and how they’ve known each other for a good few years, and how he trusts him too, hence bringing him into his company. This in itself was so great and really set my mind at ease. Thank you for this, one of those ‘above and beyond’ moments! Michael pushed me to not only be a confident, driver, but a competent one too! I asked questions and more questions, and he would answer them all! - some coming down to my own common sense ,some he would go away and get back to me on. He took the time to really explain manoeuvres, using pictures and props(i.e a pen and his phone! ) to demonstrate first, which worked well for me. From my first lesson meeting in the car, until my last, including him driving me back from my successfully passed test (with just 2 minors! Hehe)I felt completely safe! Because Adam vouched for Michael so well, who I can agree is an awesome instructor, I felt at ease right from the start and all throughout - this was a great bonus that I didn’t know how much I needed until it happened! I looked forward to my lessons, they were fun, and I really enjoyed our conversations. There was a nice balance of both driving talk and general chat, which always felt respectful. And the line “let’s just get through this manoeuvre first” was reassuring whenever I was wanting to know about a great new recipe on a roundabout, or something of the sorts! One of my highlights definitely has to be driving to Sevenoaks, hitting those high speeds was great - I always felt safe and calm, knowing Michael was right beside me talking through the transitions. I’ve gotten used to so many roads, throughout Bromley, Sevenoaks and West Wickham - my confidence is definitely shining through The things which stood out to me from the beginning to the end with both Adam and Michael; -The transparency and clear communication. -The extra time taken to listen and understand my situation(It was a very holistic approach, and I greatly appreciate it!). -The calm environment. -The determination to help me get back into driving - both in the initial stages, and once I’d taken a break to try manual lessons elsewhere(which was a complete disaster!I learned quickly from my terrible mistake and luckily, with some waiting list time and a changed day, I returned to my rightful Nissan Juke with Michael! -And of course, the extra lessons you managed to slot in to get me to my driving test, which was fast approaching! Thank you Mr Michael!!!! You guys are super awesome people, and I’m so very grateful that I was able to drive this year with the school. Thank you Adam for welcoming me in, and back, and thank you Michael for making the driving experience an enjoyable one! I highly recommend Let’s Torque! Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Michael from Let’s Torque enough. A 5 year absence from driving and attempting to pass my test due to a few test failures and being pretty much a bag of nerves behind the wheel. Michael coached me incredibly and gave me all the tools I need to settle my nerves and make me a better driver. I finally managed to pass my test with only 1 minor, and that’s all down to him quite frankly! He’s calm, patient and a one helluva lovely bloke who I’ll miss dearly! Thank you mate! Dave

Fantastic experience: I started my driving experience 20 years ago when I turned 17. Unfortunately my instructor at the time was very old school and enjoyed shouting at me for simple mistakes. I didn’t sit in the drivers seat again until 9 months ago, when I saw a recommendation for Let’s Torque Driving School. Adam was so unbelievably patient with me from the very first phone call. I wasn’t sure whether manual was the right fit for me but he soon made me realise that I was more than capable. I have struggled with self confidence and Adam did nothing but build up that confidence week after week. He was always calm and collected during our lessons. There was always laughter but Adam was firm but fair if he needed to be. Roundabouts and dual carriageways were daunting to me but Adam encouraged me to face my fears and showed me that as long as I am in complete control of the car then anything can be achieved. He is an amazing teacher and I would 100% recommend him to anyone who wants to become a confident driver. He will teach you to be the best driver you can be as he teaches to a very high standard and not just to pass your driving test. I honestly cannot thank him enough as I passed my first driving test at West Wickham yesterday with 3 minors. If you want an instructor with patience, a good sense of humour and someone who will build your confidence then Adam is the instructor for you! My eldest has recently turned 17 and is about to do their second lesson with Adam. He is so patient with them and enjoys chatting about their mutual love for gaming. There’s no way I would have picked anyone else. I will miss our lessons but you have made me become a confident driver and the last 9 months have been an amazing teaching experience. Fantastic experience: I cant recommend this school enough, I was not unfortunately the student in this case but my wife was, but as someone who has heard the methods used to build confidence and the humour but also seriousness during each lesson. I honestly wish I was. Not only has my wife built extreme confidence from first time passing her test (which was built week in and week out) but I would have her drive our car as a learner and at times not remember that she was that. Adam has been phenomenal throughout, from communication to learning techniques to even going an “extra mile” to make sure that she has felt calm and comfortable. Fantastic school. Please try, you won’t regret your decision!

Fantastic experience: If you are neurodivergent, have anxiety or just generally doubt your ability to drive, please read my review. *First time pass with 0 faults* Firstly, I learnt to drive manual with Adam who I will start off by saying, is an incredible teacher and an incredible human being who is firm and fair and has a fantastic level of understanding of everyones diverse needs and can adapt fluidly and effortlessly to make sure you, as a student, get the most out of every second of your lessons. My journey started quite some time ago and had some breaks in between for various issues but Adam has been solid throughout the whole time and remained patient, attentive and incredibly supportive. If something wasn’t working he would find another way. I was very anxious at first as I can struggle a lot with communication with new people but from the friendly face on the website to the initial phone call I felt somewhat at ease and since starting my confidence grew and grew and I believe the whole experience has helped me grow as a person as well as getting my license! The 2 hour lessons are always well tailored to your specific needs and always move at a pace that suits you. The time will fly by as you have fun and enjoy the freedom of driving. Let’s Torque driving school has grown in my time with the school and I expect nothing less than greatness to come for the school. I am incredibly proud to have been part of the school and to be in the top 2% of learner drivers in the country. Simply just another product of Adam’s teaching! Fantastic experience: I was nervous at first about getting my driving licence. Michael's name was suggested by one if his successful students who gave me the confidence to contact him. I started taking my lessons with him straight away. Michael was incredibly calm and patient, which made me feel at ease during every lesson. His approach to teaching is very supportive, always encouraging me to improve at my own pace. I had ups and downs during my lessons and he says that it is called the process of 'Learning'. Even in stressful moments, he gave clear and constructive feedback that helped me build confidence behind the wheel. I trusted the learning process and my driving instructor, who genuinely cared about my progress and made learning to drive an enjoyable experience. I got my license today in the very first attempt. So grateful to Michael and Let's torque Driving, you absolutely own the credit!! Fantastic experience: Adam has been my only instructor since the start of my driving career. He has coached me fully and got me test ready, passing (Manual) with only 2 minors. Throughout our time together, Adam has shown me copious amounts of faith and patience, he has worked closely with me and my parents, putting in extra time to show them how to assist me in private practice; as well as keeping them informed on my progress. He is a kind and patient guy, and as much as I don't want to admit, has a great sense of humour, which makes learning to drive with him a delight. Adam is always on the ball, turning up every week enthusiastic, ready to teach. He's easy to get on with and, I must say, the best instructor around. His ability to calm and reassure pupils is unmatched. Adam is completely devoted to his job and students. And can adapt to any learning style necessary with ease; he tailors lessons to master struggling skills, maximising the use of lesson time. His expertise means he can make wise judgements in all situations and identify arising issues. He puts his students in the right mindset, ready to learn and thrive. His pre-planning and knowing of his pupils, not just as a person but also a student, means all lessons are authentic to that person's ability and confidence. He jumps on problems quickly and solves them, making sure you are the safest and most aware driver on the road. I consider myself a reliable source, as I have had the opportunity to work alongside Adam for the past two weeks doing work experience. The amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes, is incredible. He is obviously passionate about what he does, if you know him you don't need me to tell you. I've been fortunate to shadow him and see exactly how he operates. His knowledge of not only the roads, rules, and business but also his students is admirable. I've seen first hand how fast he works and how he goes above and beyond for all pupils. Not just showing them how to BEAST the test, but providing them with skill past that. He doesn't just aim for a pass, he intends to make us to be the best drivers out there. Being taught universal techniques and tactical manoeuvres; preparing us for real driving is just one of the many things he is excellent at. He loves keeping pupils on their toes with quickfire knowledge tests! Which have proven to be useful, not only when trying to make a fool of my relatives, but of course, in general driving and being road smart. (Never going to forget the Tread Depth question!!) Although I am Adam's pupil, during the work experience, I also had the opportunity to observe one of Michael's lessons (automatic). Even though I had only met Michael once briefly before, he was very friendly and chatty with me, instantly making me feel involved. I observed a Sevenoaks test route lesson. On the drive over, he gave his pupil independence to choose a route best for them, working on skills along the way. They had lighthearted conversations whilst maintaining a focus on driving, Michael knew the right balance between chatting and instructing. He was accurate in his ability to judge and assist his pupil, both verbally and physically. He maintained a calm complextion, making it very easy to reset and continue with the lesson, providing a detailed debrief at the end. He's a lovely guy, and I got a lot out of it!! I've been extremely lucky to have had the chance to have an insight of Adam's day to day life and to have worked with such wonderful people, I've had a great time meeting all of his brilliant pupils (thanks for letting me sit in on your lessons!).. Adam has been open and honest with me, teaching me about the trade and ways into it. I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience. His enthusiasm and love for his job are greatly reflected in his many positive reviews and happy students. If you get the chance to, I'd highly highly recommend Let's Torque Driving School. Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved having my lessons with Michael! I put off doing my driving for far too long and finally decided I needed to get it done. I contacted Adam about starting lessons and he was really friendly, accommodating and pointed me in the direction of Michael. Even looking back now, Michael made driving seem so simple. From certain techniques, to road awareness, Micheal made the experience such a good one. Sometimes, you make things seem really complicated in your head. Michael was able to show me it really doesn’t have to be. With his coaching I was able to pass my driving test 1st time with 32 hours worth of lessons. I honestly cannot thank him and Let’s Torque Driving enough for finally helping me get my driving done. 100% recommended by me.

Fantastic experience: I started with Adam following a rocky start with a previous instructor and after being recommended him by an old friend, and from my first ever phone call with him I knew he was going to be exactly the driving instructor I needed! He is organised, efficient and never once made me feel embarrassed for any mistake I made. Training with Adam made my driving experience the absolute best it could be, despite several exterior circumstances that pushed me back and kept me waiting for a test for so long! I truly will miss the smile he put on my face every driving lesson and I just want to thank him for always putting up with me, even after it feels like I probably take the world record for longest pupil on his diary! Fantastic experience: I passed first time with Michael. Was a great experience. As someone who dreaded the thought of having to start driving lessons Michael made it seem so easy, he was so patient, friendly, kind and we had great chats in the car! Micheal explained every step of the lessons so clearly. With no previous driving experience and no practice outside of our lessons I passed with just 30 hours. I couldn’t recommend him enough and if you want to start driving definitely use Let’s Torque Driving School.

Fantastic experience: My son l started driving at the age of 17. He had a number of lessons that were purchased for his birthday. However, he didn't find the driving instructor very informative or helpful. He then decided to give up driving for a few months as this experience had put him off. He then, after a while decided to find another driving instructor and came across Adam. ADam was so very patience and encouraging towards him. It was the best thing he could have done changing driving instructors. Adam gave him the confidence back he had lost and the motivation that he could learn to drive. When he was going for his theory test ADam also worked with him with this too. Going over road signs, speed limits and lots of other useful information for his theory test. I am pleased to say that Liam past first time with the help of ADam. I would highly recommend him as a driving instructor if you are looking for a patient, calm and confidence building driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I started my "Learning to Drive" journey at Let's Torque Driving School 6 months back with Michael as my instructor. I was a novice driver and hadn't been behind wheels since 2017. My anxiety levels touched new heights when I started my lessons, but Michael was like an Angel with such a calm voice that the anxiety was gone with just a few lessons. We bonded so well as both of us were foodies and the topic of discussion during the lessons would be about new Foods and Restaurants. Michael really has a way of soothing your nerves and before you realise, he will make you confident enough to drive. I always believe that My Instructor knows better and is best at his Job, so whenever Michael corrected my mistakes I made it a point to learn from them. Though I did repeat some mistakes like speeding when not necessary and not following lane discipline, Michael would correct me everytime with the same soothing voice and Immense Patience. I cleared my driving test in the first attempt and all the credit goes to Michael. Thank you Michael for being patient with me and for helping me evolve from a novice driver to a confident one in just a matter of 6 months. Will definitely recommend Lets Torque Driving School to anyone and everyone!!

Fantastic experience: I began learning to drive with Let’s Torque since shortly after my 17th birthday, yesterday I took my driving test and passed first time! Adam has a way of teaching that keeps you engaged throughout lessons, making learning to drive a whole lot easier. He provides clear instruction while maintaining a friendly and supportive environment, whenever I did something incorrectly I was never put down by his correction as he has a method of teaching that allowed me to make mistakes and learn from them in a safe and secure environment without fear of being laughed at (although we did have some good laughs). Adam tailors his instruction to each pupil, enabling top quality lessons that are fulfilling for everyone. Many instructors teach their pupils to pass a driving test, whereas Let’s Torque teaches you how to ACTUALLY drive and be able to confidently deal with any situation. Overall, it was a pleasure to have Adam as my instructor and I may even miss our lessons even though I’m thrilled to have passed.

Negative experience: After 4 months on waiting list (while being told not to join others) and hours spent on communications confirming every detail, lessons were cancelled 9 days before agreed start. Only now have I been informed he is "unable to meet my requirements" and "I should look elsewhere". — A ridiculous waste of time. At this point, no refund of fees I paid in advance has been made. - REPLY UNTRUE We had discussed 3:00-5:00pm Friday afternoon from October 2022, I made no changes to this what so ever. Furthermore Adam was fully aware I was flexible on time and willing to travel to any pick up point if required. From October 2022 we had 100% arranged and agreed that I wait to start lessons after his Paternity, during which he assured me on many occasions it would be a 3-5pm Friday slot. Throughout my 4 month wait I did not change my requirements what so ever, however if necessary was happy to change time, start date and location - Adam unilaterally removed me from his waiting list 9 days before confirmed start of lessons.

Fantastic experience: Adam is a very skilled instructor - he will help you see your strengths and build up your confidence while driving. He will make you feel comfortable and bring and good sense of humour to lessons I can't recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: After 6 months of very structured lessons with Adam, my son passed first time with only one minor. Could not have asked for more. Adam is punctual and very reliable. He teaches to an extremely high standard and works with his pupils to continuously bring out the best in them and build confidence. Lessons are planned in advance but he will tweak the plan if a particular manoeuvre or part of driving is proving tricky. He communicates well, and by using the app, it is so easy to check on progress, fees paid, timings of next lesson etc. I cannot recommend Adam highly enough. He is a dedicated instructor and a genuinely nice guy.

Fantastic experience: I had a refresher lesson with Adam just before my test after being let down by another instructor. He was really friendly and took about 5 minutes to see assess my driving and quickly adjust the lesson to exactly what would help me pass my test. Due to his tips and advice during the lesson, I managed to pass my test the following week. He has worked very well with me and has a brilliant teaching style so I learnt how to drive safety and made driving really enjoyable for me. Fantastic experience: So this is an interesting one, I had initially booked with an intensive driving course, which has proved to be anything but. They bailed, failed and left me in the lurch, with a very close test date. In my desperation, I contacted Adam to try to secure lessons. In every communication he's been polite, professional and made every effort to help. In the end, the original company I was working with came through and found a new instructor and thus won't be following up with Adam. But I just wanted to post this review as in my opinion his communications have really impressed me and, thus far show his good character and commitment to teaching, when there was no immediate benefit to himself. So if you need lessons, Adam seems to be a great choice.

Fantastic experience: Adam is a fantastic driving instructor. He really takes the time to plan what he's teaching and he explains everything so well. He's excellent at identifying the mistakes you make as a learner and then coming up with ways to rectify them. What's more he teaches you how to do this with your own driving. Adam's teaching was so good that I passed my test first time with only two minors even though due to lockdown delays I had to take my test 290 miles away in Barrow in Furness in a friend's car. I'd never driven the car or seen the town but the test felt easy because of my lessons with Adam. If you want to learn to drive I could not recommend Let's Torque more.

Fantastic experience: Adam has just helped me pass my driving test (first time!!), the lessons have been the perfect balance between fun and knuckling down to make sure I got the most out of the time spent in the car. I was suitably challenged when needed and reassured when having a few wobbles. Fantastic experience: Adam taught me a couple of years ago after I had already had multiple lessons with another instructor. When Adam first started teaching me, I was a nervous driver with many gaps in my driving knowledge and I lacked a lot of the skill necessary to be a safe driver despite having had lessons previously with a different instructor. Adam was extremely patient with me and always listened to what I said I needed to work on. He keenly spotted the gaps in my knowledge that I didn't know were there which is a credit to his years of experience. He worked patiently with me until I was confident enough to take the test and I passed first time.

Fantastic experience: I was learning with Adam prior to the pandemic and I couldn't recommend him enough. Due to studying at he University of Nottingham, I had been learning sporadically during the holidays and Adam always went out of his way to accommodate for my schedule and always took on board feedback concerning how I wanted to learn.
