Negative experience: A bit of a waste of money to be honest. I found his teaching mediocre, and he could be quite lazy with his teaching at times. I recently started with a different instructor and the difference of quality in the teaching is unmissable. My advice would be - do your research before committing. I wish I had!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend whizz driving school. Thoroughly enjoyed all my lessons with Dee, I passed my test first time which was awesome. He is very patient, explains everything very well, remains calm throughout the lesson. We had many laughs on our lessons too which I hadn’t had with other instructors, I highly highly recommend. I can’t thank him enough, I’m 32 so this has really changed my life. If you’re considering it, do it!

Fantastic experience: I have had the best experience whilst being taught by Dee Pani, honestly the best instructor in Cardiff, he’s always reliable, on time and is very supportive if you make mistakes. I’ve passed today with only a few minors, from having a bad experience with another driving school Dee is the best you’re gonna get. From being really anxious and nervous whilst driving he turned this into confidence and was just a really chilled out and calm person to learn off. For anyone who wants to become a driver what are you waiting for get yourself booked in with Dee and you’ll have the best time ever. Ignore all of the negative reviews these people don’t know what they’re talking about. They just couldn’t handle the fact that you have to be told your mistakes to move on and become a better and safer driver on the road. Patience is key and Dee has that. Fantastic experience: Despite failing first time due to being extremely nervous, Dee helped me with being confident to pass on my 2nd go which was successfully done. I did find that sometimes I felt nervous as Dee would take calls and interact with other students whilst on our lessons and I didn’t really like that another student would drive me home, but other than that, lessons were very useful. Thank you for all your help and patience!

Fantastic experience: Yaay!! I passed my driving test recently. I thank my Driving Guru Dee for his valuable lessons. He is kind, professional and provides some space where the individual can perform independently and at the same time he corrects well when it goes wrong. This helped me correcting my driving, actually un-learn many of my driving habits and get into the groove. I had a time constraint and called Dee one or two times and he scheduled a lesson and then it went to good work. I would recommend Dee and Whizz automatic driving school.

Negative experience: I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Mr. Derhim “Dee” Pani. He would listen to the radio and increase the volume that distracted me a lot. He would pick up another student in the last 15 minutes of our session, asking me to sit at the back whilst the student would drive me back to the meeting place. I felt terrified as I thought that that was an unsafe practice. He did not want me to pay him through card, only cash, when I didn’t have cash at all. He pulled into a nearby ATM to withdraw whilst we are in the middle of our driving lesson. Coaching was not professional especially when I almost got shouted at in the last session when I’ve asked for feedback and informed my concerns about my upcoming pre-booked test. He said I was pushing it when I didn’t and when he could have just informed me of my faults so I could do better next time, or advise me of options. There was no structure in his method of teaching and coaching and I felt extremely inadequate and discouraged. When I texted him again about my concerns he said he no longer had available time in his schedule. I thought I shouldn’t have to feel bad that much because I was a learner and I needed to introspect and improve my driving skills instead of focusing on emotions. But i felt really bad. And it was because of how I was treated. My driving lessons with Mr. D. Pani lasted for about 2 months of intermittent intervals. Fortunately I enrolled in The AA and I passed, after only a week of driving lessons.

Negative experience: My experience with Dee from Whizz driving school was unpleasant. He lacked support both before and after my initial driving test failure, making me feel like an inadequate driver. Additionally, he would pick up the next customer during our lesson, which I later realised was not a common practice. When I inquired about more lessons before my second test, his response was unkind. When I explained my financial struggles, he ignored my request, forcing me to seek a new instructor. Fortunately, this turned out to be a blessing. I found support and encouragement with Tom from Streetwise, and I passed my test with only two minor faults. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Dee was the most calm, patient, and helpful instructor I could’ve wished for. I was very nervous about driving before I started with Dee but he very quickly had me feeling confident and reassured with his clear instructions and consistent encouragement. I passed first time! Fantastic experience: I passed my 1st driving test after studied with Dee. I am not a clever student, he gave me plenty of rooms and taught me step by step, and he never pushed or shouted out that make me feel nervous and comfortable during the driving lessons. Fantastic experience: Dee is a great instructor. I am an American and my US license expired while living here but never having driven here. I had a few 90 min lessons with another instructor who assured me I was ready for my test, but I failed. Then he disappeared (!) So then I reached out and found Dee, who was so much more effective and professional. He identified weaknesses in my driving and did 10 hours with me to perfect my skills on these very different UK roads. With his guidance I passed my second test with only 6 minors, three of which weer due to driving a bit slow - but hey, you don't want to speed on your test, do you? He is also a great conversationalist about politics and a pleasure to drive with. He is soft spoken but emphatic when you make a serious mistake. It works. 110% recommended!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dee from Whizz Automatic! After a negative experience with a larger driving school I found Dee was patient, straightforward and gave practical advice, which built up my confidence and in return I passed my test after six weeks of lessons together. He plans his diary well so you are able to have reliable weekly lessons but is also accommodating to the busy nature of working parents.

He took me on at the last minute with only 3 weeks in hand till my Driving Test was due.
