Fantastic experience: I am truly grateful for the entire experience at Big Wheelers. The hands-on training provided me with invaluable skills, and I felt supported every step of the way. Terry was my trainer and he is very well experienced and knowledgeable person also he was so patient in my mistakes and supported me. I did my two days training and the second day Terry skipped his favorite breakfast for me because he didn't want loose the time. For such a dedication I don't know how thank him. Fantastic experience: Where do I start ? From my very first enquiry by telephone, they could not have been more helpful. From start to finish, polite, professional, very knowledgeable. I'm a HGV novice and know nothing, but the instructors I had Tony and Terry couldn't have made me feel more welcome. Brilliant pair of chaps. They trained me to drive but also gave me a really good insight to the trade due to their extensive experience. Although I will give a word of warning!!! If you are good enough for Terry to invite you for breakfast, don't be taken in by his charisma and charm. He is an egg thief!! So don't leave your breakfast unattended!!!!. So a massive thank you to Leah, Lindsay, Derek,Tony,Terry and the rest of the team at Big Wheelers. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: passed my car to class 1 test today, after having a bad experience at a different company a year ago, I took the plunge and went with big wheelers, I can honestly say the difference in the standard of training was night and day. My instructor Terry was amazing from start to finish, I know he went above and beyond to get me through that test and I would never have passed without him, he is a true professional and a master of his craft, plus he tells great jokes to keep you entertained throughout the week haha, cheers Terry I owe you one!

Fantastic experience: Passed my C + E with Jeff today, couldn’t have asked for a more friendly and knowledgeable instructor. He has been fantastic from start to finish and I know I wouldn’t have done it with out him. Never passed a test on first try before but passed first time with only 2 minors absolutely over the moon. Thank you Jeff and big wheelers couldn’t recommend enough.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience, instructors constantly shouting when trying to learn. I wish at the time I stopped and went to another instructor school. The thing which I still don’t understand is why the shouting and terrible language when I looking back now after driving for a year I was a competent driver. On the first day I had one brand new instructor which was absolutely horrible I complained first day and then got another instructor given to me but he was nearly as bad but felt I’ve only got a few days left and I’ve paid a lot of money so I better just push through. It’s a regret I should have got my money back! Sorry I don’t give bad reviews but this I needed to do as would not recommend anyone trains here!

Fantastic experience: After doing both my Class 1&2 licence with Big Wheelers. I returned today for a refresher course (particularly reversing!) in preparation for a new job. My trainer was Jeff who was brilliant from start to finish. He tailored the training perfectly for me and made it role specific. I now feel ready to start my new role which I was apprehensive about. Still got a big learning curve ahead but got me in a good place to start it. I cannot recommend Big Wheelers highly enough, they are great.

Fantastic experience: Having never driven anything bigger than a small RAV4 and driven this same vehicle for the last 17 years I needed experience of driving a C1 vehicle before hiring a campervan in the summer. Kerry, my instructor was amazing, showing the basic vehicle checks and putting me at ease when it came to me taking the wheel. She gave clear instruction and I now have a good solid foundation on which to build my driving experience of this size vehicle. It was a great refresher course and she has given me the basic knowledge and confidence to handle a driving a larger vehicle, with 6 speeds and no rear view mirror!! lol I am so glad I booked the course and without it I would have been driving a larger, unfamiliar without any experience. I think it is the right thing to do if you are thinking of hiring a larger vehicle than you are used to ( or campervan in our case) as you will learn some very valuable basics, hints and tips on staying safe on the road, as well as identifying any bad habits you may have developed over the years since passing your initial driving test ( 34 years ago in my case). It has made me more aware of my actions even in my everyday driving since taking the course and I now notice my bad habits and pull myself up on them. Would highly recommend this course to get these 4 hours experience before just getting in a larger vehicle so you can get used to the different weight and size handling with the knowledge there is an expert sitting next to you guiding you in the right direction.

They sorted my medical, gave me my cpc qualification and trained me for my C class with excellent communication all the way through. My instructor Kerry was top class, helping me pass 1st time. Their vehicles are in top condition, a pleasure to drive. If your thinking of doing hgv I would highly recommend them. I'd give them 10 stars but Google only allow 5. Get at them, they are the best around as far as I'm concerned.

Fantastic experience: Tony is a great guy! He was very helpful and professional at all times. He ensured I was comfortably settled into the cab from the first minuet we started. Within the first 4 hours of being on the road, my driving had developed massively, and on the day if my test he made sure we covered whatever I wanted and made everything calm and controlled. Fantastic experience: This was my first experience of a CPC course and I must say that Dave the instructor went a long way to making it bearable. He was chatty without being too invasive. Knowledgable with being cocky and had a way to make you feel at ease about subjects you may not have been too familiar with. The unit/classroom itself is clean with tea and coffee facilities available. There was nothing about the experience l would change.
