Fantastic experience: I had the best experience learning to drive with Ian. From the first lesson, he made me feel super comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He’s very calm and has a way of explaining things that just clicks. Even when I made mistakes, he was patient and never made me feel like it was the end of the world His car is also really nice and easy to drive. Plus, Ian is always on time and has flexible scheduling, which is great for someone with a schedule like mine sometimes. If you’re looking for a driving instructor who’s fun, reliable, and knows their stuff, definitely go with Ian. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: After 15 years out of the country, and having never passed my test, I did a crash course over a week, and passed my test thanks to the guidance of Mikey. Honestly, from start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Before I started, Mikey would respond at the end of each day - this is due to how busy he is (rightfully so). He is a very reliable, responsible, and fun person to be around! Honestly, would give more stars if it was possible!

Fantastic experience: Ian L was my second driving instructor, I suffer with anxiety and my confidence was very low with my driving, after being with my first instructor who wouldn’t explain things properly and knock my confidence I found that Ian built it up, and instead of just telling me what went wrong and how to fix it he’d encourage me to get there on my own and we’d throughly go through the situation and think about how to improve, Ian was lovely and always made you feel comfortable! The lessons felt really laid back, which made me feel so much less stressed, and we’d always have a laugh! I’d always look forward to our lessons. So massive thank you so much, and I also 100% recommend Ian at revolution driving school if it wasn’t for the lessons we’d had I wouldn’t of passed my driving test today with only 4 minors!

Fantastic experience: I went with Simon from revolution driving, before my first lesson i had 0 knowledge of driving or experience behind the wheel, however he was very understanding and patient with me overall (especially when it came to roundabouts ) i could ask him questions about anything i was unsure on and whenever i made a mistake he helped me understand where i went wrong and how to improve on it, passed today first time thanks to him!

Fantastic experience: Ian is an amazing instructor! I suffer very badly with anxiety, I'm not the easiest person to teach at times but Ian helped me to calm myself down and learn to put my focus where it needs to be. I passed first time, we only went when we felt I was ready - I was still really nervous but Ian picks you up an hour ahead to go through any little bits and to allow you the time you need to calm down. Honestly, beyond grateful for all his help to get me to this point!

Fantastic experience: I had a couple of instructions prior to Ian and failed a couple of times but Ian really helped me gain my confidence. I always looked forward to my driving lessons as Ian always made it more fun, calming and less like a ‘lesson’ would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ian was my 3rd driving instructor and by far my favourite. He is a lovely person and so funny, he let me ramble on about my life and he would put up with it. What I found with Ian is that when I made a mistake he would always stay calm and talk to me about what I did wrong and how I can improve it the next time I’m put in a similar situation to make sure I don’t make the mistake again instead of shouting at me which I found with my last instructor. Our lessons were always fun and I always looked forward to them in the week as he made me enjoy driving. Thankyou to Ian’s teaching techniques I passed first time with only 5 minors which is amazing!! You can really tell Ian loves what he does and to anyone who’s looking for an instructor I highly recommend him.

Passing first time is not an east task, Nationally around 51% if people don't pass the test they are sitting so the numbers are not in your favour. Thankfully you've obviously developed coping mechanisms to deal with the anxiety that a driving test can put on people and managed during your lessons to develop the skills to become a skilled driver. Now you can take the skills introduced by your driving instructor and developed on your driving lessons into the real world. Just remember to check before you do and if you're not sure about something slow down. Fantastic experience: Sooooo I started doing lessons with Ian in 2019 then after 2 lockdowns and having a baby I finally passed today first time!! Couldn’t recommend him as an instructor enough, he is so so patient and understanding. Had a lot more faith in me than I had in my self which helped a lot! Would recommend to anyone most deffo.. Fantastic experience: I started learning to drive with Ian in January 2020. I was extremely nervous as I had no previous driving experience and had recently moved to the area. Revolution came highly recommended to me and Ian immediately calmed me down and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel from the offset. Revolution don't just teach you to pass your test, they allow you to develop your own personalised driving style which sets you in good stead for independent driving. I passed my driving test on Friday - something I never thought I'd say! I can't recommend Ian and Revolution more!

Really please to hear how you managed to keep your nerves under control, it's not easy to do that but having some ideas on how to keep your calm under pressure is always a help. Fantastic experience: john is a great instructor. i'm a nervous driver but he put me at ease and helped keep me from panicking. learning to drive was very disrupted for me due to covid and lockdowns but he helped build my confidence back up every time it took a knock after i couldn't have lessons for a while. i would definitely recommend him!
Fantastic experience: I originally started my driving lessons with Ian after the first covid lockdown. There was a lot of disruptions during my learning to drive and my lessons were never consistent due to lockdown and me moving to university in September. I returned to lessons on the 20th of December with the intention of passing my test on 24th December. After not having lessons for over 3 months I was very nervous about doing my test and driving in general however Ian was very patient with me after me saying multiple times that I wouldn't pass. He really helped to calm my nerves throughout the week and helped with any anxieties I had about the test. All throughout my lessons Ian helped me learn to drive by explaining things to me in a way that I understood which really helped my confidence in the run up to my test. I am very glad I went with Ian for my lessons and would recommend revolution driving school to anyone! thankyou for all your hard work!
Fantastic experience: I start driving lessons with Ian before covid hit, I went in thinking no-one would ever be able to teach me (I'm a little miss I carnt do it). But Ian put me at ease straight away, help me build my confidence and took it at my speed. I honestly believe I would not have passed 1st time if it wasn't for the way Ian taught me and the confidence he had in me aswell as the Confidence he help me find in myself. I will forever be greatful. Literally the best driving instructor around and one I will recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ian taught me to drive a few years ago. hes a fantastic instructor, very understanding and extremely patient. i was extremely nervous to drive but Ian eased all my fears and guided me in the right direction, through his support and the fact he actually cared about what he was teaching i passed both my theory and driving test first time. if your looking for a kind and caring team who defiantly go that extra mile for the people they are teaching revoloutions is defiantly the company you want to be with.
Fantastic experience: I always had Revolution suggested to me when i was looking for driving lessons, and post getting my full license I've always referred people back to them whenever I've had the opportunity too. The lessons themselves are hands on, informative and they stick with you. There's non of this paying to sit by the side of the road for 30 minutes rubbish that you see with other companies. You're on the road gaining experience for the whole time you're out. The drives are never to the same place, so you can't just become accustom to the route, you become accustom to driving in whole. And in my experience Ian didn't give out a robotic scripted lesson, it was an enjoyable experience with a good old natter. You feel more natural and at home with it, rather than being under a microscope. As for Theory and Practical tests, plenty of resources are made freely available, and Ian was on hand to answer any questions i had. I went into both with confidence based on the experience. Revolution also boasts a very high First-Time Pass rate. (Sadly something i wasn't a part of, because of a mistake on my part). But it's wonderful to see so many drivers passing with no, or next to no minors, first time in my area under this company. They may not be the cheapest in the area, but as always, you honestly get what you pay for. Want to pass, go Revolution. Worth every penny and every minute. [April-May 2014 - I passed in less than 30 hours]

He also helped with advice about my theory test helping me with revision advice and websites/ apps to use. Learning to drive with Ian was a calm quick process and I passed first time!
Fantastic experience: I would like to say the biggest thank you to Simon for being such a fantastic instructor. Right from day one he made me feel at ease and throughout each lesson he incorporated everything and answered all my questions, breaking everything down and making sure I understood everything. As I had a very bad experience with my previous instructor and was on the verge of giving up lessons as my nerves got to me quite a bit. Simon gave me the confidence, knowledge and experience to pass my test. I truly appreciate everything he has done in such a short space of time. Future students will be lucky to have Simon teaching them, as he is so calming and understanding and teaches to a very high standard.
