Fantastic experience: I had Ian as my driving instructor and he was friendly and understanding when teaching me how to drive, with lots of handouts helping me with all of the fundamental driving skills. This helped me gain a significant amount of confidence when driving as I was very nervous when I first started learning to drive! He was also very flexible when booking lessons which was very helpful. Would highly recommend and thanks Ian for all the help with teaching me!
Jess I’m so pleased you passed your driving test this afternoon. More over you passed with only 2 Minors -Congratulations. Enjoy the freedom a full driving licence will offer you. All the best Ian
Fantastic experience: I learnt with Alan after having a previous instructor which was not working for me. I never thought I would be able to drive or pass my test but after having lessons with Alan, I passed first time! I genuinely couldn't recommend him more! I learnt later in life which felt harder but Alan was incredibly patient, kind and really enjoyed my lessons (something I never thought I would say!!). Definitely can not fault any of my experience with Amigos and would 110% recommend if you want to learn!
Thank you Kim for such an effusive review. It really was a pleasure to instruct you . You really deserved the first time pass first & foremost because you’re a safe driver but even more so because you actually understood my terrible sense of humour ! Very few have that unique talent. In all seriousness many congratulations & hope to see you at the wheel of your own car for many years of safe driving.
Fantastic experience: Harry had a great experience learning to drive with Ian. He’s a really down to earth guy who made Harry feel at ease. He was patient, friendly and flexible with Harry’s schedule. Harry really enjoyed his teaching style which gave him confidence and led to him passing with just one minor. Definitely recommend to others in the Southampton area.
Many thanks Claire (Harry’s Mum) A 1 minor pass as a teenage male, what a fantastic achievement Harry. A true reflection of your driving ability. Thanks Ian
Fantastic experience: I have been learning to drive since 2018 and through a variety of circumstances have had four driving instructors in 3 cities. Amigos lives up to it's name, being a good and friendly company. My instructor, Alan, is by far the best instructor I've had (one of the other three I would rate highly, the other ones weren't the right fit for me). Alan is excellent at being patient whilst also paying attention to my idiosyncratic difficulties in learning to drive, and identified how to solve them and help me feel confident behind the wheel. So much so that I passed my test in a city in which I had never driven before (once again, circumstances). From the start I had been saying "I want to learn to drive safely even more than I want to pass the test", and now I feel confident I can do both.
James thank you for such a positive review. I am delighted at your pass. It is no mean feat to drive to Portsmouth for the first time and then deal with entirely unfamiliar roads with a miserly total of 2 faults! I think we can agree that your pass was well deserved and that you are a safe pair of hands on the road. All the best for many years of safe driving.
Fantastic experience: Very good experience and thankful for Alan my driving instructor who took the time to teach me how to drive. Very friendly and attentive instructor. 10/10 experience I couldn’t have chose a better instructor.
Raúl thank you for such a glowing review. It’s been a long road to get your pass yesterday but you can be immensely proud of your determination and excellent attitude in getting there . A pass first time too. Excellent and fully deserved. Hope to see you round the city at the wheel some time. All the best Alan
