Negative experience: HY20 MWM Terrible driving!! I had right of way trying to merge from two lanes into one when the driving instructor sped up to block me. He proceded to honk his horn at me and then when at the next set of traffic lights persisted to shout and throw abuse at me! Not only did he did he do this to me he then done the exact thing to another car on the next merge point! If you want to pass your test I strongly recommend you don't get taught by this instructor otherwise you will fail!! #Angerissues!

Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID SCAM ARTISTS! My husband payed £75 for 2 hours of driving. Sat waiting constantly popping his head out the front door for them to never show. When we rang them they claimed the driver was sat outside our house for 30 mins. They absoulty were not. They also claim its his fault as aperiently he gave his mobile number wrong by 1 didget. Had you turnt up Ahmed driving school this wouldnt have been an issue.

Fantastic experience: An amazing driving school! My instructors name was Ahsan Laghari and he was the best instructor ever! The fact that he was always there cooperating with me whenever I needed help here and there. I was able to pick up topics really easily due to his ability to communicate and help me understand what was needed to be done. He gave me every single tip and trick that was needed. He was an understanding driving instructor making changes for me wherever possible. I totally do recommend him!! I came to him with very little knowledge and left with all the knowledge needed. He did 3 hour lessons with me as it helped me get that extra boost in! The office were also able to communicate and help achieve a great deal in my driving journey. Ahsan had given all his best to help me pass. He taught me every single topic, what I needed to do, what was right and wrong. The mock tests we did had helped especially helping me improve it. He is a lovely young man who is very enthusiastic towards his students. Please book with him!

He will call you out on everything you do wrong to make sure you are absolutely the best you can possibly be and absolutely smash your test! Fantastic experience: I had a great driving lesson experience with my instructor Zia. He does point out any small mistakes whilst driving but I have to say that it has only improved my driving when I work on even the small errors. First time driving can be overwhelming but you won’t be disappointed if you are willing to work on your driving to the point of almost fine-tuning your driving skills. I would definitely recommend Zia as a good choice for a driving instructor.

He got me ready in just 3 weeks when I found a last minute test place in Southampton, and needed the license urgently. Negative experience: I'm unable to do my first lesson as im unwell and in the hospital. Tried to reschedule the lesson within 24hrs but their policy is 48hrs so unfortunately I've lost the £81 payment I made when booking.

Negative experience: Don't close pass people on Voi scooters. You're supposed to leave 1.5 meters of clearance when overtaking vulnerable road users. If you do it again I'll submit the footage to Hants SNAP

Mr Temor was teaching me at first but due to his personal reasons I had my test with another instrucutor Mr Mozamel. Mr Temor was very kind, professional and calm. Always willing to help. Fantastic experience: I just passed my practical driving test today with 1 minor with Emmanuel from Southampton. The lessons were amazing. Any issues we had we identified and fixed straight away before they became habits. He was very understanding of everything and went out of his way to help as much as he could. I would highly recommend Emmanuel as a driving instructor!

Positive experience: I had a bad and a good experience, that’s why I’m giving 3 starts. I’ll start with the bad experience. I contacted Ahmed and they allocated me with the instructor Temor. During the lessons we had, he constantly made rude and unnecessary comments about my driving skills, comparing it to people that crashed their cars. I felt that I wouldn’t pass any test, and reflecting and talking with other people I concluded that the problem was not me, but his unprofessional behaviour that shook my confidence. After 2 lessons, I asked to change instructor. The school not even apologised for the bad experience I had. The new instructor was called Ahsan, and this person was EXCELLENT! Very professional, polite and respectful. He taught me to improve my driving skills, and always commented on what was right and what was wrong. He was polite and respectful, and most of all, he believed in me and gave me the confidence that I needed. He is a great teacher, with great teaching skills. I highly recommended Ashan, but not the Ahmed school or Temor.

Fantastic experience: Just passed with Mamunur Roshid as my instructor. I can highly recommend him as he was a fairly chill but very clear teacher, making learning to drive a pleasant experience. Booking through Ahmed Driving school's website was also very convient (paying by bank transfer worked perfectly) and their customer support on WhatsApp was great when lessons needed to be rescheduled. Mamunur also made sure to show me all the tough parts of Southampton before taking the test so nothing came as a surprise on the day. I'm very glad we found him and would definitely recommend this driving school!

Fantastic experience: I had an anmazing experience with Ahmed Driving School, particularly with my instructor, Shorof. With less than a month before my driving test and my previous instructor needing taking time off, I was concerned about my readiness. However, Shorof stepped in and did everything he could to prepare me. Not only did he cover all the necessary skills and techniques, but he also helped me with my confidence. Thanks to Shorof's guidance and support, I managed to pass my driving test with zero faults. I'm incredibly grateful for his commitment to my success.  I highly recommend Ahmed Driving School.

Negative experience: My rating is pointed towards the specific instructor Ramez. I have now passed under a different instructor, for which I will detail the story. The school itself has been fine but 1 star was given because I would like to make it known that the instructors they hire can be poor quality. I had loads of trouble and at times felt like he was stopping me from learning properly. I stuck with Ramez for about 20 hours as he was the only person with availability for me at the time and I struggled to find a replacement. Some decent things about the school: When Ramez cancelled on me last minute they did really well to find me a replacement for which I am grateful. But I was never given an apology nor any reimbursement. Just a curt message, "this is your new instructor please book your time slot. Your current instructor cannot cover for your exams." No reason at all was given. For context, I have driven before in the past so I was never a proper beginner and would not get nervous on the road. However, I definitely needed the right information to pass my exams. Now onwards to the issues. 1. The biggest gripe I had was how Ramez cancelled on me last minute, 5 days before my exam and I needed 2 weekend lessons. I was never told the reasons and I assumed it was extenuating so did not think too much about it. However, I heard through the grapevine that he went on holiday and mind you it was during ramadan, so you can be the judge of that. This was also something which I wouldn't be surprised about as he has confessed he cancelled on students last minute before for poor reasons. 2. Ramez always runs late. Out of my 10 lessons 7 he would be late. 15-30 minutes late. He has cited traffic in the past which I understand but it was too often to overlook. 3. He gets impatient in the car and would shout at me for making mistakes. Yes I understand you have told me once but until I do it a few times I am bound to make mistakes. This is a huge red flag for any teacher. I have been shouted at whilst on roundabouts and mid-turn. A few times I was very close to getting into a verbal fight with him but refrained as it would've affected the lesson and safe driving. He was unprofessional and rude. The issue here was that it was too often to ignore. 4. He is very bad at providing feedback and tailoring lessons to my needs. I expressed concerns about roundabouts and wanted to practice them, but he would refuse and keep me on meeting traffic for the majority of the lesson. This meant in lessons I said I wish to focus on roundabouts I would only do 3 minis and 1 large one roundabout. The same issue occured with parking when I could've done a good 5-10 maneuvors but he would only allow me do 1-2 citing time restraints. It wasn't until I put my foot down that he would let me do the parking maneuovers properly. It always felt like he was delaying my learning to make me do more lessons. 5. He would constantly point out things I should be doing independently despite the fact that I was going to be doing exams and required much more independence. An example is: moving off traffic lights by lesson 10 he would still keep saying check check as we move off. So the students will never gain independence. 6. Poor car. Gas pedals never felt responsive. Breaks were slightly slack and would never respond well. I wish I could say better things but I think the school itself from management perspective is decent but you need to really look out for some of their instructors. This is honest constructive feedback and I hope both Ramez and the school can learn from this and improve.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my driving test today; Temor was an incredible instructor, the best i’ve had. He made me feel comfortable, was super kind and calm and i felt more confident than ever in a car. I only had a few lessons with him but it made all the difference in my driving.

Positive experience: Started my lessons in October'23 with Sheroff of Ahmed school, Southampton. Rite from Day 1, he was a complete professional and a skill full instructor, he hasn't hesitated to point out my mistakes without any delay at that moment rite away. Which makes the learners like me understand the mistakes on the spot, Bang!!!, It has helped a lot and he didn't let me appear for the test unless he is sure of me passing and that really paid back well in clearing the test at the first attempt. Fantastic experience: When I first started with Ahmed driving school, I was with a driver who I didn’t think was best for me. I called up the school and they quickly arranged for me to start with Zishaan. Zishaan understood my level straight away and focused on aspects of my driving that needed most work. He had a very laid back style, and let me get on with my driving. He was also firm and realistic when he had to be, which was great. Zishaan was also realistic and told me if I was ready or not to go for my exam. He’s a young instructor, but I’m sure he’s better than many other old guys in the sector, what a legend. If you go for Ahmed driving school, definitely ask for Zishaan, he’ll pass you with flying colours.

Negative experience: I had to come back here to make this review after leaving this driving school to another one and after a couple of lessons with the new driving school that i went to I am pleased say I passed. However, my experience with Zia was horrible. He would rude and shout at me after paying so much money to them. I simply just had to put it out there. His manner of approach was zero and he wasn't calm at all. Completely rude.

Fantastic experience: Zia is a great driving instructor. He is very calm and collective. Always points out what to avoid doing and making sure you do not pick up any bad driving habits. Before the exam He reminds you what to watch out for how to approach it. I would definitely recommend Zia as an instructor. Ahmed schoold was very swift and always responded within reasonable time. Price seemed reasonable and transaction were swift.

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test after taking a few lessons with Zeeshan, he was a great instructor and helped me feel very confident while driving. In just a few lessons, he was able to identify and help me improve my driving faults to prepare me for the test. Zeeshan was very informative and patient, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had Emmanuel teaching me to drive and the experience was nothing short of excellent, He was very organised had a methodical way of teaching so nothing would surprise you in your test. Emmanuel went above and beyond with his teaching such that you would not only be test ready but a safe and competent driver at the end of your driving journey.

Negative experience: I was friendly with the instructor; I paid for first 2 lessons foremost to see if I get along with the driver and if he is encouraging nice. It went good, in fact instructor even sensed when I was getting overwhelmed, pulled to a side, gave me a prep talk and asked me to breath and enjoy before starting again. I decided to stick with the instructor after first 2 classes and paid for about 20 hours. After 3rd class however things turned for the worst! Instructor had anger issues, yelled at me even, imitated me once too and made me cry even. Things didn’t ease up the next day. I did not understand as we were quiet friendly. I think he would have been a good instructor if he was patient. I gave my theory test a while ago and was post maternity leave. Instructor was not happy to integrate theory and it’s application on the road and expected me to know when to stop and at what point, which lane to take, middle or left. Got quiet cross with me. I had to cancel my classes eventually and ask for a refund. I have decided to take up another driving instructor now. They also don’t cover emergency so I wouldn’t say the service is good for mums who want to learn: I couldn’t take a lesson once because of my baby getting sick on one specific day, it was an emergency situation and I couldn’t attend the class, instructor charged me full for the class not taken and didn’t want to understand emergency. The instructor however cancelled on me when they needed the time. They said we have informed you a week before about drivers cancellation so it’s acceptable for the company to cancel on classes. Overall, I think the company could be more professional. The company definitely needs to improve on communication and the instructor on his interpersonal and communication skills and whether he would want to take up candidates who have taken their theory test a while ago. The company knew everything about me before taking me up so not sure how things went wrong. The only positive I would say is that they generated the refund quickly after reminding them twice and the instructor knew his job but delivered it poorly despite me being chatty and friendly. The company did offer change of instructors but I had already developed trust issues as the first 2 classes were good.
