Go 2 Pass

Negative experience: They don't respond to online bookings. Ive made three this week, no response. Called them 4 times. Always an answer phone saying they will call you back, they don't. The phone number on the website doesn't exist. Had to find the number elsewhere. Shoddy and unprofessional company

Fantastic experience: Go2Pass was one of the first driving schools that got back to me when I decided to learn to drive. It was really easy to enquire and set up lessons. Zahara was my instructor and she was great! Really patient and not only taught you how to pass the test and drive to the DVLA standards but also how to be independent when driving. A quality I’ve found most other driving instructors ignore. Passed first time with her and feel very confident to get on the road. Highly recommend and thanks very much!

Negative experience: They advertise first 10 Hours for £240, but when the driving instructor contacted me prior to the first lesson he said the price is £300. Either unprofessional mess or a scam to make people pay more.

Negative experience: AVOID THIS COMPANY After politely asking for a refund for lessons that I had paid in advance and subsequently pushed from pillar to post because the instructor "doesn't do internet banking", I was accused of being "arrogant" by a petulant and unprofessional individual when I contacted Go2Pass to request the refund that I was entitled to. An absolutely shocking way to treat a paying customer. The following is an excerpt from the conversation that actually took place. I had informed Go2Pass that I am an NHS nurse, and this was the response I received. "Please understand this, our business is actually closed so we really should not even be dealing with you. Great about the job you do but that does not entitle you to a refund from us or entitle you to be so rude and bordering on being arrogant about it. I’ve asked to Robert to refund you that’s all I can and will do." A dismal and petuant response to a legitimate request from a paying customer. 16th July Nb* please note the petulant and unprofessional response to this review. 1) I did not cancel two lessons at the last minute, this is an outrageous lie. Why on earth would you make this up? 2) If you class as "blackmail" me stating that I will seek advice your professional body, the DVSA, then you really do have some problems. Being accountable to a professional body is not tantamount to blackmail and this is a disgusting accusation to make of a customer seeking a refund. It's absolutely staggering that you would stoop so low as to respond in such an unprofessional manner I reiterate, avoid this company.

Fantastic experience: I took lessons with Go 2 Pass before lockdown and just had my test as a key worker. Passed first time! Very happy with the instructor. Excellent!

Fantastic experience: Very Recommended!!! I needed driving lessons for the third time, after two poor instructors and a failed test. I thought I'd never get this driving thing, never be safe and comfortable behind the wheel. Afyer swallowing my fear and pride I booked in randomly with Natalie... and here I am, passed! Fantastic experience: i had just passed my test with the fantastic experience of learning to drive from Natalie Hall. I initially started with the 10 hours then package then took a break from driving during the summer. resuming to my lessons i continued with Natalie with a one week intensive crash course and passed on my second test due to one serious fault of a puddle splash in the first attempt. i was really pleased following Natalie's guidance of only having a few hours before the test rather than continuous lessons as this saved me a lot of time and money and also lead me to passing my driving test. Brilliant experience and a huge thank you to my instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had around 8 lessons with Aaron in Manchester/Oldham and passed today first time after failing 3 times 10 years ago and giving up. Very happy, Aaron was great and very accommodating with regards to either picking me up at Work (in Oldham - where he lives near) or Manchester City Centre (where I live). Prices are very reasonable for CIty Centre, and Aaron (although a Man United fan) was very easy to get one with!

Fantastic experience: Passed today on my first attempt with the help of Neil. He's super patient, very friendly and a great teacher, especially as I was a nervous begginer. He is always flexible, very kind and has brilliant technical knowlege. Thanks for the help.

It didn't come as naturally to me as I had hoped, but Robert was patient, understanding and gave me that extra push out of my comfort zone when I needed it!! Fantastic experience: Passed in April of this year with my driving instructor Natalie. She was fantastic from beginning to end. Very supportive and flexible. She is a brilliant instructor and really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and brave as a nervous learner. Go2Pass were really professional and helpful from the beginning and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great value for money and high quality lessons.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, rude, even as a middle man between you and your instructor does not mediate. My first lesson was meant to be 2hours long and my instructor only did half the time and said he only did hour long lessons so it would be an extra lesson instead. Kept cancelling on me because of his own scheduling/car issues, one time he didn't even have an excuse. My last lesson he got me to drive to another students home and got her to drive me back. (is that not a privacy issue?!) Was hoping to get my lessons done by the end of summer. In the end i started lessons 2months ago but had only had 4 lessons. I couldn't keep rescheduling my life around my instructor so i tried to switch drivers, they didn't have any free so i waited over a week for a refund. The lady i spoke to on the phone was understanding but the person i dealt with via email was rude and abrasive adding to the already stressful experience. I wouldnt recommend this company to anybody. Update to reply I phoned you on the Tues and got the money back a week and 3 days later but thats splitting hairs. I didn't want any free lessons,i wanted what was owed to me. Theres a difference. I was told the first lesson would be 2hours and John insisted that wasn't a good idea. I have since found out lots of people regularly do 2hour lessons. My point wasn't that i had an issue with him cancelling when i was on a course, i told him i was busy anyway and would've preferred to reschedule. It just the lesson awkwardly landed on the same day, wasn't my intention to get so much organised in one day. My point was that i had booked 10 lessons in June and in 2 months the only time given to the development of my driving was 4 HOURS. In all that 2 months more priority could've been given to developing my driving instead of giving me huge breaks between each lesson so that i would forget everything we had gone over. This is a waste of my time and money and i COULDN'T EFFECTIVE LEARN. He cancelled twice because of his car Once because of a scheduling issue Once no reason was given All of these were last minute up to an hour before the lesson was due so i couldn't rearrange anything else and then id have to reschedule/cancel something further along the week to accommodate him. If anything i would've liked to have spent less time on these issues not more time thats why i cancelled. Also in the email i was berated for not knowing how you broke down my refund. I was expecting to get back 60% of what i gave you and at NO POINT did anyone go through how the refund would be broken down to me. The communication just wasn't there. I just wanted to be able to book my classes with RED straight away as my friends have told me they had no breaks with their teachers frok there instead i was left hanging with no info as to when my money was coming and how much i was getting.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was brilliant she’s been there since the start and got me to pass first time with only 22hrs of driving time, Natalie Hall I cannot thank you enough for your help and support through the process and can highly recommend. During Natalie’s lessons she makes you feel confident positive and puts her full support and time in for you, by my second lesson I was already driving on the road, her positive attitude is what made me feel comfortable during the lessons.

Paul is an extremely good driving instructor and on my first lesson, his explanations of the car were very clear and easy to understand. Fantastic experience: I passed my test today on my first attempt, thanks to my wonderful, always friendly and encouraging driving instructor Neil. While being in the middle of exam season and under the pressure to get my driving lisence before leaving the country for the summer, it's safe to say I could not have done it without Neil. Always patient and encouraging he built my confidence and skills as a driver. Fantastic experience: I passed my test yesterday 21/05 with help from the driving instructor Paul Owen at Go2pass. Paul has been fantastic in the time I have been with him. He keeps his session fun and really makes you feel comfortable in the drivers seat. Prices are affordable and found that Paul was flexible to what sessions suited myself. Negative experience: Unreliable , late every single driving lesson also they were texting my daughter at 11 o’clock at night to say there going to be late the next day also had to wait 2 weeks for 1 of her driving lessons as the instructor decided to go on holiday and didn’t tell her till the day before shocking really would not recommend to any body the instructors name is Natalie

Fantastic experience: Upon my very first attempt today I have passed my driving test, thanks for my wonderful and ever patient driving instructor Neil. After being dumped twice by my two previous driving instructor I had given up on driving all together, until a close friend of mine who recommended Neil for me. Fantastic experience: I could have not asked for a better driving instructor than having Michele by my side during the past 8 months of learning to drive. Every lesson we had such a laugh together as well as progressing. Although at times, it could get frustrating, I cannot appreciate how patient Michele was with me and showed me that I could do what I thought I couldn't at the time. 8 months later, I have now passed both my theory & driving test 1st time and it has still not sunk in! However, it is all thanks to Michele’s amazing teaching style, thank you will never be enough for teaching me this incredible life skill I now have. I am really going to miss our lessons together but if you're lucky enough to get Michele, then you're going to be just fine learning to drive! Thanks again for everything Michele :)

Fantastic experience: A fantastic driving school, where I was tutored by Akbar. He's a brilliant instructor, who helped me to pass both my theory and practical test first time. An honest and reliable tutor who I would recommend to anyone who asked!

Negative experience: My experience with my instructor, Nasmeen was terrible. Her teaching style was not helpful at all and I felt very uncomfortable behind the wheel as a result.During the lessons she would smoke an electric cigarette and also take and make phone calls. She even made a hair appointment on the loud speaker of the car one hour into one of my lessons. This made her very distracted and would often abruptly take the wheel or use her pedal because she wasn't paying attentions to my driving. She would also constantly hold the steering wheel, so I never got the hang of steering, even while looking at her phone. She would never fully explain how to do manoeuvres, so I never understood the steps to do them to why those steps needed to be taken. My lessons with Go 2 Pass were a complete waste of time and money I wish I could get a refund, and I could never recommend them to anyone

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Completely not transparent and so unprofessional. I actually had a driving instructor lock me out of her car whilst my things were still inside and shout/ scream for no apparent reason. I'm sure being an instructor is a job that requires an even temper - she clearly lacked this. My instructor was incredibly rude from the moment I met her and made what was supposed to be a great experience a rollercoaster of emotions. I eventually passed with AA. My advice is to save yourself the time and money. **MY INSTRUCTORS NAME WAS ZAHARA**

Fantastic experience: I passed with my driving instructor Paul Owen, he was the best driving instructor I could have asked for. He made me feel very confident and relaxed in my lessons and helped me get to a standard higher than test standard. I’ve recommended him to lots of people and will continue to do so :)

Fantastic experience: Great service - Zahara managed to find a timetable to suit my last minute request and booked me on to a 45hr intensive course with Adam, who is a brilliant instructor. I had no experience and was incredibly anxious about driving but thanks to Adam I soon grew more confident and passed on my first attempt. Thanks guys!

Negative experience: Poor service. Signed up for an intensive course but they didnt book me a test. Teaching wasnt the best, didnt use any written or visual resources. Other driving school i used was a lot better.

Fantastic experience: Just finished all my lessons having passed my test a few days ago. My instructor (Paul Owen) was always helpful and really made efforts to boost my confidence - very happy to pass!

Negative experience: Emailed on Sunday and got no response so chased them up. The girl on the phone wasn't helpful at all and just told me that there are no evening lessons. I asked about having lessons on my dinner at work and she just told me that "the lessons are two hours". She offered no other solution or help in any way and just told me that there should be evening lessons in "around 3 months". Lovely

Negative experience: Don't use this company...their service is shocking...due to their own poor logistics their side they booked a test for my son after all his lessons had finished leaving no means of getting to or sitting yhe test. I purchased a complete course that was supposed to include theory and practical. They wanted the money in advance and were happy to deal with me direct but when I tried to complain they told me they can't speak to me direct for data protection reasons...absolute joke. Worst company I have ever done business with

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Akbar, it's hard to put into words how much he helped me pass my test first time. I had 10 lessons previously in london with another instructor before moving to Manchester and driving with Akbar. The difference between them both was astronomical. Fantastic experience: My instructor (Paul Owen) was extremely supportive and very helpful from start to finish. He helped me to improve my driving ability beyond test standards and he also helped improve my confidence behind the wheel, which is why I passed first time. Would highly recommend!

Negative experience: Poor service. I had paid for a block of 10 lessons and I did 6 of them and decided to stop. When I text Akbar he didn't respond so he's kept the money he should owe me for not completing them. He was also very panicky when driver beeped me on a 20mph road when I was going 20mph. Very unprofessional and I'm now with a different instructor who's great. Wouldn't recommend this at all!!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant company!! Instructor kenrick was brilliant and very patient with me. Explained throughly.. kept me calm.. and got me through my test!! It's not hard to see why you have a successful pass rate.. your teaching methods are great. Very clear and precise. Fully recommend to all.

My instructor was fabulous, really patient and accommodating, fitted lessons in at awkward hours which I could only do as a doctor. I couldn't recommend the school more for passing your test. Fantastic experience: I have the pleasure of having passed my test first time thanks to the help of my instructor Royan from Go 2 Pass Driving School. Ever since day one, he has been very friendly and easy to get along with while maintaining professionalism. At every step of the journey he was helpful in highlighting things to look out for to improve my driving skill. Manoeuvres were given simple to follow steps and the driving was comfortably instructed. In the first lesson, he looks at what your current skill level is, in a calming way, and tailors your learning experience to that. Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test first time after taking the intensive course at go to pass. This was my second attempt with a change of 2 driving instructors. I would like to thank go to pass and especially my instructor Adam who was extremely patient with me and encouraging throughout. The lessons were very helpful. Adam always asked what I would like do rather than imposing his own ideas. He was friendly and put me completely at ease due to which the daunting experience of practical test became relatively easier. Thanks again Adam!

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say a massive thank you to my driving instructor Royan for helping me pass my driving test on my first time at the West Didsbury test centre. Before learning to drive I was so nervous but Royan was very friendly, funny and made me feel confident behind the wheel. In all of my lessons Royan was incredibly patient and always explained things to me in a very understandable way. In the run up to my test, Royan kept me calm, gave me lots of encouragement and provided lots of useful tips to help me pass first time – I couldn’t have asked for more! Fantastic experience: Just passed my test first time using Go2Pass! My instructors name was Julian and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody that asked. He provided me with a very good foundation of driving skills and awareness which I fully believe helped me when taking my test. Despite working a 9-5 job, Julian was able to fit our lessons around my schedule with evening lessons which I know many other companies do not offer. Every lesson had a great balance and structure to them which made them great value for money.

Fantastic experience: I found go 2 pass online and read a few reviews, I decided they seemed a good choice and after 30 hours I'd gone from never starting a car to passing my test 1st time, my instructor, Paul, was great, from the 1st lesson he showed his professionalism and experience and made it very easy to progress with my driving when I found my feet, there was always a very comfortable atmosphere on my lessons which made it very easy to focus on the driving and develop my skills quickly. I would recommend Paul to anyone he really is a top bloke and a great instructor.

Fantastic experience: I first heard of Go 2 Pass from my sister who had her lessons with Royan and passed! she was very pleased with her experience that pushed me to do mine and strongly recommended Royan.
