Fantastic experience: My boyfriend came across joe when my previous instructor had cancelled numerous times and my test was fast approaching. Joe was very quick to book me in and ensure he had time to see me multiple times before my test. Joe was very kind, funny, knowledgeable and patient, going over anything I felt I needed more practise on. Overall I had a pleasant experience thankfully to his patience in teaching and the techniques and tips which improved my driving. Fantastic experience: What a journey it has been. It took me several attempts, and each setback affected my confidence in driving. Through all of this, I had given up, but Uncle Joe was there, constantly encouraging me. Despite his busy schedule, he would cancel his plans just to fit me in. Then I came across uncle joe and thought I'll give him a try, I'm so glad I did because he helped me get over my anxiety with driving! Fantastic experience: I passed my test years ago and never had a chance to drive regularly.Recently I was able to get my own car and was advised to take a few refresher lessons. After a few I realised I was very anxious when having to drive. That’s when Joe’s calm and collected manner was key. Fantastic experience: I had 0 experience when i first started my driving lessons with Joe, never been behind a wheel and didnt know anything. I completed less than 20 hours of learning with him and I passed my practical test the first time with 5 minors. I'd highly highly recommend Joe to anyone whos unsure about whether or not to take lessons with him, because hes a very kind and friendly person too which helps ease your nerves even during your lessons. Fantastic experience: I am glad to say I finally passed my practical driving test exam with Uncle Joe driving school after several attempts. It wasn’t easy getting him to be my instructor, as I had been trying to get across to him for months but i’m glad that my patience paid off. Fantastic experience: Thank you Joe! First time pass and just the 2 minor driving faults. Normally, I prefer to go with someone who comes recommended, but I read some reviews and also had a taster lesson and everything just felt right. So I took on the intensive lessons as I had a time pressure and I’m so glad we did. From lesson one, to the test day, Joe reassured me that I could do it despite my very shaky start. All within a month I saw great progress - from not even wanting to move off in the first lesson, to now having the confidence to deal with most situations on the road safely. Fantastic experience: Thank you Joe for helping me not only to pass my test but help me realise how 'rigid' I can be at times. I was a very anxious driver, and by that, I mean I was REALLY anxious. I tend to overthink a lot of things and that happens with my driving as well. I was overthinking all the time and not able to focus on the actual road and my steering. Uncle Joe helped me to put aside my worries, encourged me to take my time, allowed me to build trust in him and myself, with his patience and empathy. It is not always easy to communicate with other people, and I appreciate how Joe takes his time to find a teaching 'language' for me, so I can actually understand what his words 'meant'. I must say he is not the cheapest driving instructor out there, but if you know yourself and you know you need a bit more than the 'standard' teaching, he is the person you want to ask help from. Fantastic experience: Without Joe's help with my driving, I never would have believed that I would be this confident and happy in the car. He is an incredible instructor, and his teaching methods are so useful and informative. He always made me feel safe on the road and in control of the car, and I honestly couldn't have passed my test without him to support me through the process! The way that he structures his lessons were perfect for what I needed to work on: he always made sure to fit the lessons based on what you wanted to get out of the experience and learning process. Before I started with Joe, I was anxious in the car and was switching from numerous instructors. However, as soon as I started with Joe, he immediately made me feel comfortable and is such a fantastic instructor! I have already recommended him to friends- haven't got a bad word to say about him!

Fantastic experience: I had a really great learning experience with Uncle Joe during my crash course of lessons. He taught me all the advanced techniques for my test and was extremely supportive throughout. He remained patient during the process and gave constructive criticism when needed, altering his explanations when needed. As a first time pass, I’d recommend him to all learner drivers.

Negative experience: I didn't want to leave a review but this is my last resort. I had paid £579.80 for driving lessons with Joe. I chose him because of the reviews. However, I never went through with any of the lessons. Additionally, I had also paid £62 for the driving practical test, which by the way, the test was never booked, so the money was just kept by Joe. Ultimately, due to circumstances, I had to leave the UK and asked for a refund. I had asked for a refund over a period of time. Both through whatsapp and email. But all my messages were ignored till my last one where I said I will be taking further actions. I knew he was ignoring my messages because he was online, changing his profile pictures and updating his facebook. Even then, he refused a refund, stating he is going through a tough time and that there is a policy on the website regarding refunds and timeline. Which by the way, I have searched for before and found NOTHING. I have sent a complaint in to the DVLA. They said they have sent an email to Joe and will get back to me when Joe replies, otherwise they will not contact me further. Seeing that it has been weeks since the DVLA got back to me, I can assume that Joe has also ignored their email. The DVLA has recommended me to escalate this matter up to the civil court, which I am currently looking at. He has kept a total of £641.80. I don't even understand why he wouldn't even refund the money for the practical test when it was never supposed to be kept by him in the first place. He has good reviews as a driver but I would caution others. He doesn't follow up on driving lessons, if you don't contact him, he will just not contact you regarding your lessons. Also, it is very irresponsible of him to be ignoring the messages and keeping the money when I have not taken a single class and when the practical test isn't even booked.

Fantastic experience: My journey to passing my test had been long and stressful one- I had taken lessons with multiple teachers in the past but due to Covid and moving around a lot, I had never reached a point where I was competent enough to pass. Joe’s approach was very laid back which alleviated the anxiety I had around the test. Furthermore, he was able to get me to pass on a tight schedule as my theory was due to run out. He quickly pin-pointed what needed improving and walked me through in it in a way that made sense. Joe took the stress out of booking and preparing for the test whereas in the past I had found it all very complicated and difficult. He’s also a great laugh and will put you at ease immediately!

He helped me to become a lot calmer and confident behind the wheel, by the time I passed my test, I enjoyed driving. He is very flexible in terms of arranging lessons around your schedule. Fantastic experience: Uncle Joe is hands down the best driving instructor in Manchester. I initially started my lessons with him after being recommended to by my brother and dad. As a young Muslim woman, the idea of having a male driving instructor was quite daunting. However, Uncle Joe was very kind and professional and never overstepped any boundaries. He helped build my confidence up and got me test ready quickly. I would highly recommend getting lessons from him.

Fantastic experience: Uncle Joe is a fantastic instructor. I had past experience learning from 2 others and he was by far the best. He creates a very comfortable atmosphere which is reflected in your driving. Joe went past the expected standards to help me book my test early and have me fully prepared as quickly but safely as possible. I would definitely recommend him over others in the area. The package deal works well and joe is willing to be flexible should you not require all your lessons. Joe pushed me to go for my test despite me still having lessons pre paid for showing his integrity and honesty his pupils. Overall he is really nice and a clear teacher. 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Uncle Joe is a fantastic, confident and a highly skilled instructor. He assessed my level of driving on the very first lesson and structurally planned my lessons in order to fine tune my driving skills. He is so methodical and highly precise in what he wants. He is a perfectionist and once we satisfy his level of expected competency we can really master that particular area. Eventhough I moved away from Manchester he kept in touch with me and helped me to book test dates without expecting an extra penny. This quality is highly appreciated truly valued. Fantastic experience: Trust uncle Joe when he says you’ll pass first time. He means it and will get you ready to that finish line. I got referred post covid with everyone queuing to get their tests… uncle Joe was booked up but he somehow manages the increased demand and still gets his students across the finish line. Good experience with him although my patience was tested as he tried to navigate around his long queue. His friendliness made it all good eventually. We got their in the end, safely, smoothly and successfully. #Recommended!

Fantastic experience: What can I say about Uncle Joe? An amazing, friendly man, who is so professional. I passed my driving test 9 years ago, but had just recently gotten a car. I reached out to him for a 6hr Pass Plus course, as I had been in an accident a couple of years before, and became anxious in certain driving situations. Uncle Joe was so attentive, and took all of the information I shared on board, and tailored my lessons to suit me. Our first 3 hour block was in thunder and lightning, during roadworks and heavy traffic on the M60, but he made me feel so at ease and confident in my ability. There was a palpable difference when driving on the roads after that first session, and he followed up promptly for our next block. I am genuinely sad that we won't be having our great conversations in the car anymore! If you are debating reaching out to Uncle Joe, just give him a call - I am sure his friendly personality will win you over, and your first lesson will definitely back up the hype!
