I have had a hard time with instructors from other companies and I lost all confidence before I came to 5th gear. I decided to try 5th gear and the service was very coherent and they were really friendly. I particularly liked how I would be reminded the night before that I have a lesson the next day as it made me feel like they were on top of things. My instructor was Samina, she was amazing and she help me brush up on the skills I needed for my test. She was friendly and really easygoing and made everything seem so easy the way she explains things. She was really supportive and patient with me, I felt really confident and at ease before my test. I would 100% recommend using 5th gear.

Fantastic experience: Absolute sound instructor, very simple easy to follow instructions. Extremely helpful in answering questions, was able to support in building driving confidence again. I personally booked lessons in 2 hour blocks, and instructor kept the lessons a fine balance covering all aspects in the mock examine. I think it is helpful that the instructor takes your input when discussing things, example. I voiced what i was struggling with driving, and the instructor spent significant time with myself until I was confident to undertake the task alone. I have to say very please with the Instructor, and the dedication to going through things. The instructor was calm throughout and collective. I could not have asked for anything more. I passed first time on the test. The key take away for me and my learnings is just listen, and the instructor knows best. Thank You.

Negative experience: Booked my first 2hour lesson with Samina. I thought the lesson went really well and booked for the same time following week. The following week came by and I was waiting for her and she didn’t turn up so I text her to ask if the lesson was still on and she said I got it wrong and that I must’ve miss heard which I thought maybe I had as I was feeling abit run down (was probably a lie ) She then ignored my messages to book in with her again and then responded 2 weeks later saying she was going on holiday till the new year so she’s off. Text her beginning of this month and she’s just blanked my texts. Tbh it’s a joke, feel like she robbed me of £60 and called it a day. Wouldn’t be surprised if she’s done this before. Probably needed a bit of extra cash and thought let’s rob this newbie. She did also say it would take 10 lessons till I get on the main road‍♀️ My new instructor took me to the main road on my 3rd lesson. Would definitely not recommend.

Negative experience: Soooooo upset crying my heart out. At first I had the best time with this instructor he was really nice and supportive and I felt at ease we had a bad lesson today I did a mock test and was getting overwhelmed forgot a few things. He got mad at me an I felt this animosity so I asked, “are you getting angry?” He said, “well yeah I am abit” which then upset me as I was trying my best and literally couldn’t help forgetting because I was overwhelmed. I’ve got my test in a month and because he got angry at me for forgetting and being human we had a dispute so now he cancelled my lessons and my test is in ONE MONTH so upset and would’ve never of thought it would’ve ended like this as at first we got along really well
