Started in June 2000, Dorset Advanced Motorcycle Training (Previously Known As Dorset & Wessex Motorcycle Training) has quickly established itself as one of the most popular and successful training centres in the area. A family run business, the atmosphere is very friendly and fun whilst retaining the important message of road safety.

Negative experience: If you are a foreigner and not a native English speaker, you are advised not to come here for CBT training. There is an elderly white gentleman instructor who dislikes communicating with you and has zero tolerance, while also raising the standards for you. During the process, he openly states things like "I don’t want to communicate with him," which feels discriminatory and deeply upsetting. He then delegates responsibility for me to another accompanying instructor. This other instructor, however, is the complete opposite—very patient and responsible. Another confusing aspect is that while the elderly gentleman is highly experienced, the other instructor occasionally makes mistakes and seems lacking in confidence, often being corrected by the gentleman. If they are in a teacher-student relationship, is it appropriate for them to jointly guide clients undergoing CPT training? I’m unclear about this issue. I did not pass this training, and while I acknowledge that I made some mistakes—a result I accept—the problems I mentioned still exist. For me, this was a terrible experience. If you’re a local English speaker, congratulations—this is the right place for you.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend these guys for all your motorcycle training needs, last week I did my cbt with Kevin and after that I did my das course with Charlie and now I have my full motorcycle license! Everyone was so helpful, easy to talk to and also super knowledgeable. Thanks to everyone at Dorset advanced!

Fantastic experience: I recently did my cbt here with Gary and Norman I must say they were both extremely patient and willing to help they have clear instructions and explained everything very well would really recommend here
