Fantastic experience: Just passed my CBT first time after doing an ITM session as I wasn't sure of my skill before, and can't recommend the new pad session more it was incredibly helpful and definitely is the reason I passed my CBT, and it's well worth the price to try riding to see if it's for you and have a little one on one time to gain confidence. Everyone there was super friendly and the experience was wonderful, even if I kept stalling they encouraged me and by the end I finally got it - there was never pressure to do something I felt I couldn't but always the space to learn progressively. Just remember not to burn out the back brake like I did and you'll be fine, you're in great hands. Thank you for everything, I'll definitely come back to do my full license here!

Fantastic experience: Did my DAC with ATB and managed to clean sweep both the MOD1 & MOD2. The team are very clear and knowledgeable, very approachable and down to earth. They might seem like they're riding you a bit but if you listen, leave your ego off the bike and do half of what they say you will pass! Highly recommended, had a great time, Big thanks to the team.

Fantastic experience: This is THE place to go if you want anything from a CBT to your full licence. I can’t fault these guys or their bikes on anything. After almost 20 years on the road I finally took the first step to getting my full licence, they helped me out of lots of bad habits I’d picked up along the way and In 2 weeks I had my full licence. Being full of self doubt and next to no confidence I never thought it was possible especially in such a short amount of time. Mod 1 and mod 2 passed on the same day. Fantastic experience: I'm autistic and never drove or went near bikes until it was time to do my CBT. Theses guys are the best! Admittedly I couldn't learn as fast as the 4 others people on the day that I did my first attempt unfortunately it's a fact of life that everyone is different and learn process information differently. These guys put my safety first. Then spent unlimited amounts of time with me for patiently free helping me explaining ect with no judgement or criticism ect. In my opinion Heather is the best out I f them as I feel I made a new best friend she is a lovely decent person the type decent people want to be around and Nigel is the most sarcasticly funny person I have ever met I would strongly recommend you only deal with these guys! Can't wait to come back to learn how to play with a bigger better bike

Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT twice at ATB ( the first CBT was hard ) but then when I was ready to do the Mod 1 and Mod 2 I went back to the fantastic team at ATB as I knew I would get the best training, help and advice from all the staff to get me through the tests. I passed my Mod 2 with no minors this was definitely due to their training. You go to them as a student and leave as part of the family, thank you so much. I just need a big a bike now.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to use ATB Rider Training by two fiends who had trained here and continued through to full category A licences. I was not the most intuitive pupil but i respected the tutors feedback and persevered. I passed my CBT in May 22 and kept going until i passed my category A licence in September 22 - Thanks everyone at ATB. What i liked about ATB is that they are more interested in rider safety and competence than pass rates and money - that is exactly what all riders should be looking for, surely.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend these guys enough, training was second to none! Passed my cbt did further training to pass mod 1 and 2, even though I failed my mod 1 they put my mind at ease and got me back on track in no time. Even after passing they are always there for advice and guidance and can always nip in for a cuppa before a weekend blast! You guys are amazing thank you guys. Fantastic experience: If you want PROPER PROFESSIONAL motorbike training then this is the ONLY place to come. Seriously, the trainers are not only professional and highly skilled in what they do they are constantly checked by not only Nigel but the DVSA to ensure they maintain that standard. All the staff are extremely approachable and have a sense of humour. Everyone who comes through ATB is welcomed into what can only be described as a family of bikers. Beyond they are encouraged to join the "Plodders" a small group of riders who get together and share stories. Both Heather and Nigel are actively involved in numerous charity events and rides. Which all are welcome riders or not. This is not just any rider training it's the oh you know the advert! ATB took me through my bike test a number of years ago and doesn't stop there ATB offer continual improvement lessons very useful after the winter lay off. Robin

Fantastic experience: I decided in January that after almost 20 years off a bike I wanted to get back on one and quite impulsively booked a CBT here. I enjoyed the CBT very much, had a good laugh with the instructors and certainly regained the biker bug. I ordered a bike that week and went back to them with a challenge to get me through my full A license before my bike was due to be delivered in mid Feb! Heather was able to schedule in all my lessons and tests, and I booked onto a four day course. Day one: First half was on a 125 around sheffield practicing junctions and manouvers. Second half of the day was on a Suzuki SV650 with further road practice and instruction. Day two: An early ride over to the Rotherham test centre on the 650 to practice on the MOD1 test pad. U turns, avoidance, slaloms and emergency stops galore! The rest of the day was spent practicing road riding, junctions, observations, etc. Day three: MOD1 test in the morning (which I passed, no minors!) and the rest of the afternoon spent practicing on the road. Day four: Some more road practice and then MOD2 test time (passed again, no minors!). Throughout the process, the family and instructors at ATB were friendly, funny, patient, clear, and gave great feedback. The equipment and bikes were all in good order (Heather ensures all the bikes are spotless!!). Even following the test, we're all still in touch - There's no 'test done, money taken, out of the door' here - there's a clear community and family of bikers that these guys are building. I highly recommend this place to get your bike training done, I will certainly be back for my advanced training needs.

Negative experience: The same story as the other one star reviews. My partner has been through CBT 30 minutes and had been failed. It supposed to be a “training”! She haven’t been treated fairly as the other students and instructor didn’t have enough patience. Afterwards they went through a padding session with her and they’ve realised that she is was good enough for riding a 125cc. ( If she had another instructor probably she would’ve been more confident and pass with no issues) Why not giving her chance in the first place?Probably she needed 10 more minutes of attention to let her gain some more confidence! She passed her CBT with no problems 3 years ago and it was her first time on a bike! Now she have to pay 60% extra from her CBT fee to book a new one. So altogether 320£ just to get a CBT and start her courses for A full licence!!! I didn’t got my CBT from the first place because my instructor wasn’t really convinced about my U turns and still got a chance and told me to return day after for another CBT for FREE and i’ve got it with not problems! . She wasn’t a danger for the road! CBT is not a TEST, it is a training, if she failed the CBT that means that instructor didn’t had patience enough and decided to failed her from the first half an hour of her TRAINING ( can’t stretch that enough)! NOBODY will going to rebook a CBT if it lasts 30 minutes of TRAINING! It is not worth the money! We will go with another motorcycle training company! I hope this review will help future riders to be careful and aware which company they are choosing!

Negative experience: Told my partner to come home after 30 mins of riding just because another learner progressed more than him but this other learner had done a CBT before. They could of let him to stay to progress and learn due to being very lots of money. And it states they do not pick and choose pupils and can learn everyone well seems like they did pick and choose in this case. My partner was told to go back for more lessons but then would have to pay £60 for another test or something. Already had cost £235 for absolutely nothing

Fantastic experience: CBT, mod 1 mod 2 all passed thanks to a great team. Thankyou Heather for sorting all my bookings and queries, Andy for your advice and guiding me through my CBT, Jon and John for keeping me safe on the roads and passing on your valuable knowledge, Nigel for keeping the water taps running and making sure the moral and banter was of high standards first thing in the morning and Norman for keeping the milk jug full and making sure the the yard was always leaf free. Thankyou all for helping fulfill another tick in the box. I personally had a great time learning to ride safely and pass the license requirements. Fantastic experience: I started riding with ATB ARIDER TRAINING with no prior experience or confidence of being on a motor cycle but with the help of the ATB team today I passed my mod 2 bike test with flying colours! Fantastic experience: Did my CBT, rider training, mod 1 and mod 2 with ATB, passed all with no minors thanks to the guidance from Heather, Nigel and Jonathan. Absolutely brilliant company and people. They take a no nonsense approach and guide you properly into becoming a confident rider. I highly and honestly recommend them if you want to learn to ride and pass your tests. Most genuine people I could've wished to learn with.

Fantastic experience: This riding school is very professional, ensuring that the lesson plan is tailored to the learner. I did my CBT, MOD1 and MOD2 with the ATB and all passed first time round. They helped me with scheduling the lessons around my work. The learner bikes are in good condition, the riding gear also available to borrow if required. Overall great team of instructors who will ensure you enjoy your riding lessons and at the same time are well prepared to take your tests.

Fantastic experience: Very positive all round experience. I did the 7-day intense course which included CBT, Mod 1 & Mod 2 test and training on the other days. This was expertly arranged by Heather. The facility is great. There bikes and safety equipment are also great. They pay a lot of attention to safety at all times which is reassuring and maintain all of their equipment to the highest standard. The lessons with Andrew, Nigel, Jonathan and John were all very good and they were all very engaging and professional whilst being friendly and easy to understand at all times. Fantastic experience: I had literally never been on a bike before I was proper nervous I learned allot on my first attempt and they sorted me a very good deal to come and try again I didn't get on the road the second time either I thought I was never going to get it nerves were getting the better of me but after a 2 hour 1 to 1 I was able to go on the road and after some excellent tutoring I got my certificate and am buying my 1st bike there absolutely brilliant at ATB they help you to feel confident and safe riding a motorcycle

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the staff and instructors at ATB for a fantastic experience, as a 51 year old car driver doing my first CBT I was quite apprehensive but the instruction I received put me at ease and gave me confidence enough to pass. A first class course from a first class company ( I will turn off my indicator) I hear it in my sleep !

Fantastic experience: Done my cbt today with these guys, highly recommend they’re super friendly ecpecially Dan who taught me, I’m 16 I’ve had some experience riding off-road just make sure you know a little of what your getting yourself into. Also while doing some of the manoeuvres in the yard it may feel a little nerve racking but once you get on the road everything you’ve learned will start to take shape and it will feel a lot better just stay focused. Revise a bit on the Highway Code before hand and some of the road signs and you’ll be fine!

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend these guys after getting messed around doing my cbt at another place i chose these to do my full bike licence with and wish i had used them from the start very professional and great communication.

Positive experience: Lots of classroom work, minimum work outside on the bike, some basic turns, figure 8's etc, using indicator. Instructions hard to remember bike difficult to use at times. Staff ok, promised discount if failed but then wouldn't give afterwards. Would have preferred more time on the bike to get used to it, but too much time in class.

Negative experience: Had a very similar experience with the woman on the telephone as previous reviewer. When I called to chase up a call back I was promised. I got shouted at and told she was very busy and I should have more patience! I had the patience to wait until she hung up, then called another training centre.

Negative experience: School itself is good, instructor are professional and clear 5 start for them. The problem started when trying to re book. Heather has been very unprofessional, when ever I have been trying to contact it’s very likely she will pick up the phone, if she do there is alway a excuse that she will call me back which never happened, same thing goes with any other form of contact, she said she will get back to me which she never did. Unfortunately I will have to book CBT and direct access with someone else as I believe there will be same situation happening again.

Fantastic experience: Sensible and patient instructors. Rough and ready but professional and fun, clear demonstrations of the bikes used too and full, sturdy equipment provided. I failed my CBT with no prior experience on a bike before but was offered a one on one instructed session instead and smashed any confidence issues. I'll be back to train again, very happy.

John the trainer is really good and patient 5 stars. my only bad experience was communication. when booking my mod1 test. as was told could get a practice mid week but got nothing and kept ringing with no calls back . so in end had to take day off to have at weekend but all good in end as I passed

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place to learn to ride a motorcycle. I have done the cbt module 1 and module 2 with both first time passes . Nigel and both the John's and the whole team are absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them . They have great personalities to boot also with a extremely high standards of instruction. Fantastic experience: I've just passed my Mod 2 and I wanted to share how wonderful the school has been. Particular mention has to go to John, all the instructors are good - knowledgeable, experienced and patient but I found John exceptional. He is very clear, understands how each individual learns so that he can really develop you as a rider and pull out the best from you. He also made the experience fun, really encourages you and I felt genuinely privileged to have done my riding journey with him. Love the family feel of the school, whilst still being professional and special hug to Norman, for looking after the bike so well (that I managed to drop more than once!!!!) Can thoroughly recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: My son passed with them today . The owner and trainer lovely blokes make you feel comfortable. It's full training unlike some school who pass kids on mopeds after a hour. My son was on the bike training all day he loved it he was beaming at end of it . It's also the cheapest ! and they have lovely dogs

Nicky helped me pass my CBT first time. She's really experienced, encouraging and picks up the learning styles of students fast which makes it feel really personalized. Fantastic experience: Previously had my CBT at another instruction company in Sheffield who failed me without any excuse to or any advice and I left feeling ripped off. Excellent training was provided under Nikki and Paul, explained everything thorough and made it very easy to ask any questions. I couldn't recommend these enough, I felt safe on the road and I feel completely confident with the training they provided. Don't waste your money on cowboys like I did and just come straight to these guys who know what they're doing!

Negative experience: Nikki who was meant to be a professional instructor would skip through bits of the test and would just shout at time which made it hard for us to concentrate.i was desperate to get my cbt done but they had taken advantage and failed me twice for no reason and taken money from me when I rang to speak about the problem I had her screaming down the phone. Waste of my time and a waste of my money find somewhere else and do ur cbt

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend to everyone! I hve done my CBT and I have been first time on proper roads, lots of stress on gear bike but I'm really happy with the advices! I'll definitely will do my proper license next year! I really enjoyed. Thank you team!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant tutors can't recommend enough.

Negative experience: Feedback on here is excellent, which is why I thought I'd give 'em a go - sadly there was no reply to 3 of 4 email contacts over the course of about a week, so I was left disappointed I'm afraid.

Fantastic experience: From Mary Mutch(Neil’s Wife) As 54 year old woman last year I decided I wanted to be a biker chick having never ridden a motorcycle in my life. Last October I went to ATB and from not being able to ride 10 m the guys got through my CBT successfully within a few weeks. We then went travelling and winter came so it was July this year before I could get back on a bike. All the staff were great with me from the admin through the instructors to Nigel’s dad Norman, who made me tea, were great with me. Special thanks to Jonathon, my main instructor, but also Nigel and John Allen who both played a big part in getting me through my tests. I would really recommend ATB for high quality professional motorcycle instruction. Mary.
