Negative experience: I have had an issue with these guys taking my deposit and I couldn’t get hold of them. I used a company called Craig Baker Driver Training and thankfully they really looked after me and glad that I came across them.

Negative experience: Takes peoples money then ignores them because they have gone into liquidation stay clear of this company owe people a lot of money

Fantastic experience: I would recommend anyone to City Driver Training! From the start, the office staff were very welcoming and made sure all the details were covered before turning the wheels, addressing any need with kindness and consideration. My instructor, Steve, was also super friendly and helpful for my Class 1 upgrade training. He advised me where I needed or asked for it, with reminders on the basics as I drove just to make sure I had safe practices down to a natural habit. Over two years ago I took my Class 2 with another instructor, Nigel, who now also works here. As such, I think any student driver would feel in safe hands here as their instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience that extends beyond twice my lifetime!

Fantastic experience: Took my class C license with City Driver Training Sheffield this past week. After the first day I have to admit that I had serious doubts as to whether I could possibly pass the practical driving test as I was making so many minor and on occasion major mistakes. Fortunately I had the extremely patient and knowledgeable Andy as my instructor and subsequently managed to negotiate the rest of the course on an upward curve. Passed the large vehicle off-road manoeuvres test on day 3 and then the practical driving test the day after. I can’t thank Andy and the team highly enough and would thoroughly recommend City Driver Training to anyone looking to upgrade their licence and improve their driving skills. You could not be in better hands!

The owners want you to succeed! I’ve never seen a company that does so much for their industry! From bikes/ cars/ vans/ class 2 to class 1! Or even familiarisation training, you bought a caravan/ trailer and want to know what to do, give the girls a call they’ll sort you out! I drove from Near Aberdeen to Sheffield for this training! Fantastic experience: Passed my car to class 1 with city today. Could not ask for anything more from these guys. The girls in the office were so lovely and made the booking process so easy and sorted everything start to finish for me. Nathan and Martin were so welcoming. Andy, my instructor, was so easy to get on with and gave me such good training. Everyone there made it such a nice memorable experience and made it feel so easy with all of their encouragement!

Fantastic experience: Just recently passed my D1 + D1E minibus and trailer course with City Driver Training. The staff are really friendly and helpful, right from the beginning to the end I was informed with the all the correct information on the course and prices. Every step of the way they have been fantastic. I took a bit of time to pass my theory but with there help finally finishing with a pass. Paul my instructor was brilliant and patient especially when learning the trailer. All the staff assist and support each other it's a nice atmosphere. Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to learn, I passed my class 2 today with only one minor fault. Right from the very first time I contacted city driver training and spoke with Georgia (I believe) any anxieties went out of the window, the process was explained to me clearly and thoroughly. My instructor was Paul and he has been brilliant, he made sure I understood how dangerous vehicles of this weight and size can be on the road and by my third day training I felt like I was test ready. He was quick to point out anything I was doing wrong and it was then down to me to make sure i was taking any information on board. I Highly recommend choosing city driver training if you’re on the fence and not sure which company to go for.

Fantastic experience: City Driver Training is an excellent place to get your truck licence; I spent time researching providers and am glad I settled for the best! I went from B (car) to CE (artic) in under a week, with three minors and a pass certificate at the end - it didn't come easy, but CDT helped me get there. Thanks from me to the whole team. I had a fantastic instructor (Nigel); he was very friendly and occasionally abrupt with his approach, but that is necessary for learning to drive such a large/potentially lethal vehicle (as I found out). When I first started training, Nigel said I'd learn to hate him and then love him; I now know what he meant, as you face the realisation of how much responsibility you're up against, which does add to the despair of making mistakes and its easy to associate that with the instructor. Thanks again, Nigel; your instruction was outstanding! My advice for any learner to succeed is to go into the process with an open mind; no other vehicle driving experience prepares you for the CE combination, so go easy on yourself and listen to the instructor's guidance. I was on the verge of quitting sometimes, but if you put in the effort and persist, you’ll get the pass result you want - it worked for me!

Negative experience: Not happy with them because they don't provide good training,i get my licence verry hard with them, i'm ok on the road but still need to practice with reversing now i need to buy some more hours for reversing practice, when i was ask them on my training to practice more the instructor said i don't need any more practice....

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing training school. I completed my Car to Arctic training today and passed my test with only 1 minor! Instructors are very understanding and aware they're talking to adults. If you do something wrong they talk it through and don't scream and shout. Ian my instructor through the week has been an absolute star and a huge credit to City. Big shoutout to one of the owners too, Nathan, I would not have passed my test today if he hadn't of spotted I was nervous and been able to calm my nerves in the hour before my test. He demonstrated excellent people skills.

Negative experience: Going on the fact one of their trucks just pulled out on me on a roundabout, making me do an emergency brake to a full stop (on the roundabout). These "trainers" and students need to go back basics and learn the rules. Wouldn't use them, they are DANGEROUS

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic team at CITY DRIVER TRAINING. From the fist time I made contact to passing my practical was all made so easy and made me feel at ease. After failing multiple times with another driving school. I decided to go with CITY and after only 3hr training with Craig (legend) I passed. I would like to say a dig thanks to Craig who made me feel so at ease and learned me more in 1hr than my previous instructor and at a better price. I will only ever recommend city from now on. And a big thanks to all the team from the ladies in the office to all the instructors who are so friendly and helpful and really do know there stuff. Can’t recommend asking for him enough if you’re thinking about booking.
