Fantastic experience: Did my CBT just a month ago after being told to go home at RJH training with some other riders there. Went here and with Stacy, I was on the road with another rider within an hours time with not much experience at all on a bike, besides Focus’ own John Pilling offering me a free day of practice prior to my second CBT. This place was a billion times better than RJH and at least had the patience to deal with its riders throughout the day, instead of sounding aggravated due to their own training issues. Thank you very much, Focus and will be back for my A1 lessons soon!

Kind, patient, and observant staff, plenty of room to learn the ins and outs of the provided motorbikes, and if you're lucky, you might even get to spend time with their lovely dogs! I would like to give special thanks to Lenny who was my instructor for the day, fantastic guy who was very patient with me during the controlled learning on site, as well as my stalls out in 4PM traffic. Fantastic experience: I was originally going to use RJH, but after giving Focus a call I decided to book with them as they seemed much more flexible and accommodating. Their practice area at Gigg Lane is huge compared to other places and this really helped me develop slow speed manoeuvre skills. What I really liked is they weren’t obsessed with time limits, and they let me continue practicing my slow speed skills after the session formally ended. I also had plenty of riding time preparing for the MOD2, with the commute from Bury to Blackburn & Darwen improving my riding experience on country lanes. They took us around all the test routes and pointed out what to watch for on the test. I highly recommend Frank; he’s a no-nonsense, quality instructor who not only gets you through your tests, he really focusses on teaching you how to ride safely. So glad I went with Focus over RJH. They’re a genuine family company with friendly and helpful staff who built a package that fitted in with my skill level and availability. To top it off, they were also much better value!

Fantastic experience: After over 30 yrs since I was last on a bike, bit the bullet and did my CBT today. Absolutely brilliant and very patient staff, was anxious at first but soon settled in and went for our 2 hr ride and loved it. Thanks to everyone at Focus. Will be booking mid 1 and 2 plus extra lessons for DAS once had more experience on the road. Again superb….

Fantastic experience: I didn’t know what I was looking for but gave Focus Rider a ring and spoke to Laura. She guided me through the process and recommended a CBT and intro conversion day and gave me lots of information I was lacking. It took me a year to book but when I finally did I did a CBT and Direct Access course within 2.5 days and passed both exams first time, they assured me I was ready! Great experience with Focus Rider and I would highly recommend! Thank you to the team as I had a chance to work with everyone over the days and everyone gave me really great tips which ultimately helped me pass.

Fantastic experience: Completed both my cbt and mod 2 with Focus over the years. Jeff and Laura are fantastic. Recently passed my mod 2 with them despite there being a little bump with timing everything was resolved immediately. Would totally recommend Focus if your starting to ride. Stacey makes you feel so comfortable and at ease her instructions are super clear and her knowledge is amazing. As a slightly "mature" rider with some leg issues she made me feel as if nothing could stop me and it didn't. Thank you Stacey. Do not hesitate book with Focus.

Fantastic experience: i did my cbt on a hot day when i said to stacey that i would prefer to finish it on a dryer day, she let me come back on her own time and honestly i cannot recommended an instructor enough. i have zero driving experience on the road (not passed my driving liscence) and i was 100% comfortable with her. can’t give enough thanks to the whole team for making me feel so comfortable, you’re all so amazing!!! passed my cbt and i’m absolutely buzzing :))

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this company enough, everyone who ive met whlist doing my CBT here were all very welcoming and friendly. Laura and Neil were absolute down to earth people. They were very informative regarding everything i needed to know, as i am a beginner. I booked with these as i needed to book asap and i booked in the CBT for the next day. Ladies if your looking for somewhere to get your CBT or even DAS ( "L" plate for 3 years , in that time we did CBT twice, then i just booked the DAS for me and my partner) I would totally say get booked in! Fantastic experience: I'm sure all the members of staff here are great from what I've seen but would like to give a special thanks to Stacey for starting off on CBT along with Frank, Laura and Jeff for their efforts in getting me through my DAS. 15 years of not riding a bike, the CBT was a breeze with the team. However getting onto the DAS - I couldn't even get the bike moving from a standstill. The team found the perfect bike from their selection within 10 minutes and I was well on my way. Unfortunately my test had been cancelled multiple times due to adverse weather. Laura had worked around my work schedule to get a test organised, which was a massive help and keeping me up to date along the way. Not only have Focus Rider Training given the skills to be a safe and confident rider, their lessons have gotten me through both mod1 and 2 with 0 minors!! A welcoming atmosphere with smiles all around. What an adventure! Keep up the good work Focus RT!!

Fantastic experience: Daughter passed her CBT first time, the lady and guy that I spoke to seemed really nice. Took my daughter out for her road test on a 50cc as she was having throttle issues, then left her play on a 125 whilst she was waiting to be picked up.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Focus Rider Training! Travelled all the way from Cumbria to do my DAS as I was quite nervous and wanted to go with a female instructor who wouldn't shout at me or make me feel stupid if I did something wrong. I ended up doing different bits of training with Laura, John and Frank over a 3 day DAS spread over a couple of weeks and could not recommend them highly enough. All of the instructors were really positive, helpful, calm, patient, and really boosted my confidence with their feedback and little snippets of wisdom over the two training days. Hopefully I won't need to, but if I ever needed to do more training I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Focus!

Fantastic experience: I was very anxious before doing my test as it's been 15 years since I have ridden a bike. I was initially just going to for a twist and go license but the instructor's let me try out a geared bike to see if I wanted to go out on the road on that instead. I did and I'm glad i was persuaded to make that choice. she was very patient and concise and I will come back here when it's time to renew or upgrade. Also they had cute dogs

Fantastic experience: If you're thinking about doing your DAS, these guys are by far the best place in Manchester. I've done my CBT a few times at other places but decided to finally do my DAS with Focus. I got help from 4 different instructors, Jeff, Alex, Laura, and Frank, all of which are absolutely brilliant instructors. Different in the way they teach, but all of them are super encouraging, super patient, and super friendly. You could see that they were genuinely pleased for people as they passed, not just because it was their job but because they seemed proud of you. I also got some awesome coaching from J on the day of my test. He could see I was nervous and gave some great advice and was so supportive. The bikes they use are great too, and they have a huge choice, so you will find the one that's perfect for you to learn on. You won't go wrong if you choose focus training, a great team, and a great group of people.

Fantastic experience: I did my cbt here with the same staff all day (stacey) and she was great and teach does the way we understood it all day and I have high dyslexia and ADHD so it can be hard sometimes but I have no problem and it was a lot of fun. I wold highly recommend it if you are thinking about doing your cbt. And a big thanks again to all the staff you was all so polite, helpful, and awesome.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved doing my cbt here today. Was very nervous as done cbt 3 week ago with Williams and ended up walking out after 5 hours due to not getting on with instructor. Stacey my instructor today at focus made me feel very welcome and learnt a lot throughout the day. Can't recommend these guys enough for anyone wanting to learn. Great atmosphere and plenty of room to learn

Fantastic experience: I came from another training group as I wasn't happy with them and how they allocated there training. I found these on the Web and I have had a really great time and learnt allot. Evrey ride instructor is slightly different but you get to see different types of people and how they ride. The lessons are well thought through and each person is taught different. I would highly recommend them. Thanks for the great time and the privilege to be taught by each instructor.

Negative experience: Not happy with this company they are so slow in sorting things out and even if you keep failing your mod 2 test they keep booking you at the same place instead of taking you to a better test centre with a good pass rate there making money every time you fail

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT at Focus a few days ago, after not riding for over 40 years. From my first phone call to actually completing the training, everyone has been so friendly and helpful with plenty of encouragement along the way. Fantastic experience: Where do I start, amazing through the hole experience. I did my CBT followed by my Mod 1 and 2 at Focus Rider Training and would highly recommend them. Laura, Jeff and John where proper interested in you and getting you passed. My CBT I passed first time, which then give me the confidence for my Mod 1 and 2. Going into my Mod 1 I thought it was easy. Got that wrong big time was all over the place. Jeff took us to the side and had one to one training, that calmed me down and got me through. Mod 2, Laura helped with this, for some reason really got on with her training style, put me at ease and we kept going on the test routes all morning and mid afternoon. Did my test and passed. Thank you very much to the team. Do not bother going to anybody else they are the best and was a nice experience.

Fantastic experience: Initially I decided to contact Focus after reading all the good reviews on here, and all I can say is I wasn’t disappointed. I had a great experience learning how to ride a motorcycle with the Focus team. Everybody at Focus was so friendly, very patient and very skilled instructors. I started with my CBT, passed my theory test and then went for the DAS. I had basically no experience with a motorcycle, and in a month I obtained my full licence. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you’re looking to get your motorcycle licence, go with them, you can’t go wrong!

Fantastic experience: Booked my DAS course, from the first phone call the whole team have been amazing! I even told them that my girlfriend was due to give birth and that I may need to change dates if she goes into labour, well fast forward 2 days before my mod1 and my girlfriend was induced the day before my lesson asked if I could change and this was not a bother, all instructors make you feel at ease! Booking team work around you!! I did end up taking both tests within a week instead of a 2 week gap between the two test due to going on leave and this wasn’t a bother! If you want to have fun whilst learning you won’t be disappointed. They are thorough! I highly recommend like I have soo far! Thanks guys :)

Fantastic experience: Got our boys to do there CBT with these guys. Was a bit wary as they can be a bit daft, needn't have worried though. They took great care of them and got them through the day with no drama. They were patient,thorough and did a really good job. Would recommend and will use them in the future for extra training for them when needed

I highly recommend this place especially if you're a bit nervous, as they totally put you at ease and don't rush ahead. You might even get a couple of coffees thrown in!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a friend to this company. I sent my daughter who wanted to ride back in November. She passed her CBT and subsequently purchased a Z125 from Bolton Motorcycles (A Bike that they had actually owed too!). I did my theory back in early December but kept putting off my CBT to start my progression to DAS off as I was actually quite scared about doing it as I have never even sat on a bike and the gears worried me. With that said, I finally booked it. Sue was my instructor. It did take longer, however I did agree to Keith being there are a trainee instructor. Who was also great. Loved every minute. All the staff there are incredibly friendly. I am looking forward to my next course with them and can not recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Today I had Stacey as my instructor as I was doing a refresher for my CBT and I learned so much from Stacey today as like all men I thought I knew it all but I didn't. Fantastic experience: Cant fault this team, they looked after during my cbt and now doing even more to help me pass my direct access, I've always recommended focus rider training and will continue to do so. The experience they have and there customer service skills are invaluable when learning to ride you can rest assured like me your in safe hands book with focus you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Training with focus rider training is amazing. The staff are all very experienced and friendly, I felt very at ease with them all. I did training for DAS with Laura, Jeff and Sue over 5 days including my Mod 1 and mod 2 test days . All 3 taught me different aspects of riding and built my confidence and of course helped me pass. After a bad experience with my CBT at a different training provider, I contacted focus rider training and straight away felt relaxed with how friendly and professional they were. Would 100% recommendto anyone wanted to learn to ride a motorbike .

Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT here a week ago - what an amazing experience. I paid for one to one training because I personally learn better like that, today I went out on my new bike for the first time and it felt amazing, remembering what my instructor taught me as I'm riding. Once I've gained a bit of road experience, I will definitely be booking in further bike training. Can't thank these guys enough. Very down to earth and welcoming. The customer service is top notch. Fantastic experience: What a fantastic team they have at focus I done 1 day of training with sue and the next day went For my Mod 1 test at Darwin and PASSED !!! But not only did I pass the other young lady that Was doing her Mod 1 passed as well with flying colours. And then a guy past his Mod 2. So it was 3 out of 3. Can’t wait to get some more time off work to do my Mod 2. Thank you all at Focus.

Fantastic experience: Tip TOP CBT training day, a really lovely bunch of people. From start to finish we were safely looked after and educated on biker/road safety. Mike guided us perfectly during the off road manoeuvres & made the whole trip on the road feel calm, confident and safe. Shoulder checks have been well and truly drilled into us. Fantastic experience: Focus got me from renewing CBT through to passing my licence. When I passed my CBT John said to get an extra day to what you think you need but I tried to rush it, and it ended up costing more and taking longer (listen to John). Great technical training and a good support crew in the office, I know they all put in a lot of effort to get me through.
