Fantastic experience: Keith is such an amazing driving instructor I couldn’t recommend him enough. I was extremely nervous when I first started with him but he was extremely patient. I hated my lessons with my previous instructor but with Keith I looked forward to every lesson. Keith made my lessons fun and makes me laugh which eased my nerves a lot. I passed first time thanks to Keith. I will miss our lessons.

Fantastic experience: I was so happy with how my son learnt to drive a few years ago under Keith’s instruction that when it came time for my youngest son to learn to drive I had no hesitation getting in touch with Keith again. Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed my lessons with Keith, gave lots of good practical advice and giving good tips on difficult manoeuvres such as reverse bay parking. Passed my driving test with him after around 25 hours worth of lessons and would thoroughly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: From a parent's perspective, Keith is a great communicator and very professional. When my son was ready to take his practical driving test, there was a minimum of a 6 month waiting list. Keith suggested that the best idea would be for my son to stop having weekly lessons with himself and instead to carry on practising driving with my husband and myself. He also suggested that we then get in contact with him a few weeks before the date of the practical test to organise a few test preparation lessons. This is a great example of Keith's honesty and professionalism. My son has passed his practical driving test and we would highly recommend Keith as a driving instructor.

Negative experience: I asked if I could postpone my son's lesson. Mr Metcalfe said no and he has cancelled the lesson as he has another pupil. I was told that the hours lost could not be carried over and would not be refunded. After a series of increasingly aggressive and unprofessional emails I had to threaten legal action to get a full refund of the block of lessons as I was no longer comfortable with my son being in a car with him.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test today with Keith. Before I started my lessons with him I had been with another instructor and was a very nervous driver. I was close to giving up and thought driving just wasn’t for me but Keith motivated and really believed in me. He made things I previously couldn’t get my head around (e.g parallel parking) so simple, and he was always patient and calm throughout my lessons. Fantastic experience: Would recommend Keith to anyone wanting to learn to drive. He is very thorough in his methods and really puts things into perspective. Before finding Keith through a friend of mine I failed multiple times. I put it down to my first instructor not understanding my abilities. Fantastic experience: I always had a hard time gaining confidence on the road before my lessons with Keith. I went to him after a long break from my lessons with another instructor. He really helped iron out the creases with my driving and built my confidence on the road. He helped identify where I was struggling and taught me the right way the right way to fix the problems I had. I passed with him with 6 minors! We always have a right laugh on our lessons, he has a great sense of humor and he's very witty too! I looked forward to my lessons with him every week. He's always early to lessons and won't put you forward for a test unless he knows you're ready. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone learning to drive. I was a bit hesitant at first because of the cost of the lessons however they're worth every penny. You really do get what you pay for. He has taught me so much! Fantastic experience: Not only is Keith is a fantastic driving instructor who is extremely professional, punctual and knowledgeable, but he's a great guy who is easy to get along with - which really helps when going through the process of first learning to drive. I didn't start learning to drive until I was 33, in fact the first time I sat behind a wheel was during my first driving lesson with Keith who could see I was clearly anxious, but he quickly put me at ease! Keith quickly identified my weaknesses and worked patiently with me to overcome them, which I imagine from his point of view was no easy feat! Keith has a structured syllabus to help you gain, and then develop the practical skills you need, but more importantly, he also has a number of other tools in his arsenal to help build confidence and actually help you learn how to "drive" - as Keith will tell you, there is more to learning how to drive than simply marking the vehicle move!

Fantastic experience: An absolute credit to his profession. Keith has one aim and that is to get you passed but with safety as his paramount priority. I never believed in myself as a more mature learner but he had faith from the very start and despite things not always going smoothly was always positive and encouraging. Fantastic experience: At the ripe old age of 44 I decided it was about time to get me some wheels. Keith was my first and only port of call for driving tuition.
