Fantastic experience: If you’re thinking about booking a DAS with A-Z I couldn’t recommend it more. Steve is a top guy who holds a wealth of knowledge, experience and patience. I had only ever done a CBT a few years back and never followed through with it, but the last week I’m glad I got in contact with Steve. I was smiling and laughing constantly and ended up passing my mod1&2 first time. Steve is a great instructor and if you’re in Kent this is the place to learn.

Fantastic experience: Completed my DAS course with Steve over the last couple of months - failed my Mod 1 a couple of times - I think through pure nerves and then flew through my Mod 2 and passed that first time! I can’t rate Steve enough, I had a very small amount of riding knowledge having previously done a CBT many years ago but other than that I rated myself a complete beginner!! I’m sure Steve would agree with that! Haha DAS has always been something that I have wanted to do and right from the first contact to passing Steve couldn’t have done anything more! If you are anywhere near to Gillingham (or even further afield) I would recommend him in a heart beat!l you definitely won’t regret it!! Thanks Steve!

Fantastic experience: Completed my direct access CBT, Mod 1 & Mod 2 with Steve who is not anything like Steve McQueen, at least when he is training. I passed first time. Hugely easy process, he catered the course to our riding ability as both me and the other chap already had experience so we shaved off a few days. Gave simple instructions and the right information to give you confidence during the test, about as easy as it can be really.

Fantastic experience: Steve is a top gentleman with decades of experience training those of us wishing to pass their Mod 1 and 2. He has organised an off-road area where all parts of the Mod 1 can be practised without fear of disturbance and he knows all the routes where examiners can take you for Mod 2 (my Mod 2 was definitely on it). Steve is funny, has great stories and makes you feel very comfortable with good feedback too.

Happy to say I passed my MOD 2 today, The whole process from start to finish has been great, steve is very knowledgeable and experienced, he's very patient and the way he breaks things down for you everything eventually falls into place. Fantastic experience: Just passed my module 1 and module 2 test and I must say Steve is probably the best instructor I’ve had in my life, all manoeuvres that I struggled with during my CBT (with another school) and my day to day riding were explained and shown to me in such a way in which it simply clicked- I cannot emphasise how great at teaching he simply is. To put it into perspective, on the way to the test centre on my own bike, the weather was poor and my rear tire slid out from me due to a patch of something in the road- only a corner or two from the centre, I was able to pick the bike up, get to the test centre and as shaken up as I was- pass both mods with relative ease all thanks to his teaching. If that can’t show how simply terrific he is, i don’t know what does. I will certainly be back to do my full license when Im 21 and can’t imagine having a different instructor, thank you once again

Fantastic experience: If you want to pass your MC test then look no further, Steve is a very knowledgeable & experienced tutor. I did a couple CBT day courses with him back in my younger days. Then took a 9 yr break from biking after passing my driving test. Now im in my early 30’s & I decided go for the big boy license. I ran a 4 day DAS course with A-Z training at the end of June 2024. Pass my mod 1 (no faults), then the mod 2 straight after / same day (2 minor faults) Steve is a top geezer with a quirky sense of humour & the Kawasaki 650’s are so much fun.. Honestly I didn’t even feel like I was on training course as I was learning & enjoying it all the same. The fellas over at the DVSA were actually super chill as well - so props to them Anyway I’d like to to say a big thank you to Steve & I wish you all the best mate Ps - he’s terrible with names

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my Module 1 and Module 2 motorcycle tests to gain my full motorcycle licence . I cannot recommend Steve highly enough as an instructor. The whole course was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Steve was always professional, highly knowledgeable and patient giving clear concise instructions through all training sessions. Without his expert guidance I would have never been able to pass my full bike licence in such a short period of time, as this was the first time I had actually ridden a motorcycle. Fantastic experience: Steve is a fantastic riding instructor. He quickly assesses your riding ability and tailors his training to suit you. He is clearly passionate about riding, and will teach you how to take control of the bikes - not just operate them safely and anaemically for the sake of the test. If you’re lucky and you show a bit of progress, he’ll even teach you about fractional reserves. If you’re lucky!

Fantastic experience: Well, what can I say. Having never ridden a bike before and passing my full licence in 1 week says it all.... Steve was very relaxed, patient, full of VERY VERY good stories and jokes....who knew a bike instructor had so much knowledge of politics, investment's and the whole world, wise man haha. You will honestly not be disappointed using Steve, I really enjoyed the whole week and cannot recommended A-Z enough.

Now, you might be wondering what philosophy has to do with riding a motorcycle. Well, my friend, prepare to have your mind blown. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, passed my full license, Steve has the best and closest training sight in Gillingham, we had plenty of time to polish up on our slow manoeuvres so I was feeling very confident going into the test. I'm usually very nervous when it comes to tests but with Steve cracking jokes left right and centre made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend a-z rider training to anyone interested.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking to do your DAS course, look no further. This time last month I'd never ridden a motorcycle. Today I passed my full motorbike test! Steve is a fantastic instructor. He knows the test criteria like the back of his hand and makes sure you're armed with all the information you could possibly need. Every part of the Mod 1 test is replicated at the training ground and you get tonnes of practice. It's just a few minutes away from the test centre, so you can familiarise yourself with everything just before you arrive for your Mod 1 test. I had a bit of a wobble just before my Mod 2 test but, after some reassuring words of advice from Steve, went on to pass! If you're thinking about booking your DAS course, go for it! My only regret is not doing it sooner!

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Steve enough. His replica mod 1 set up is amazing which more than prepares you for the mod 1 test. Fantastic experience: When I first contacted Steve I had never been on a Motorbike in my life, I was a simple ginger man with a dream. Spoke too Steve and thanks too all his hard and fantastic training facilities (that you wont generally find anywhere else) you will feel more then confident passing your Mod 1&2. I couldn't even go in a straight line at the start but I passed! Steve was able too sort out the balance issue.. Shame he couldn't help the ginger part. Fantastic experience: I have never left a review in my life, but I just had to for Steve.Anyone looking to do there full motorcycle license this is definitely the man to be doing it with, I passed yesterday 1st time both my mod 1 and mod 2 with only 1 minor advisory on my mod 2. Excellent training facilities for the mod 1, which you wont get with anyone else.Fantastic price and extremely good value for money. Fantastic experience: After being given the run around by many training schools I found A-Z, I contacted Steve and explained my situation I had passed my mod 1 test before Covid but unfortunately due to Covid was unable to take mod 2. Steve was very helpful and got me in for a days training and my mod 1 the day after! Which I passed with no issues. Yesterday 9.5.22 I passed my mod 2 test with no issues, this was purely down to Steve’s way of teaching, he was very informative and was happy to answer any questions I had, during our days training he was constantly giving me more advise on how to become a better rider, just making small changes which other training schools failed to notice or care about, I now have my full motorcycle licence all at a price of £475, if you’re looking to do any type of motorcycle training wether it be CBT training or full licence I would recommend giving Steve a call!

Fantastic experience: Come here if you want to learn to ride. Steve has been a great instructor and has a great area to practice all slow moving exercises for getting through your Mod 1. You get plenty of time on the road as well. Steve knows what his talking about and can see withing a few miles what you need to work on. 1st time Passer on both Mod 1 and 2 with very little experience.

Fantastic experience: Just finished a fantastic week of riding with Steve, with a first time pass for mod 1 & 2. Had next to no geared road riding experience and within 5 days I’ve got my licence. Fantastic experience: It's not often I give 5 stars to anything but I definately will for this. I had never ridden a motorbike and the instructor was brilliant. His instructions were very clear and made me progress in stages but never holding me back if it wasn't needed. His knowledge is amazing and the set up of the cbt/mod 1 area is great. I went from never riding a motorbike to doing my tests in 5 days with no concerns or worries that I was not ready. I obviously had the test nerves but even then Steve made me feel comfortable and ready. I would 100% recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: Steve delivered the direct access course like a well oiled machine, easy to understand, clear and refined information as you'd expect from someone who's been in the industry for well over thirty years. From the moment I arrived at the training compound in Gillingham, to the moment I passed the Mod1 and Mod2 tests at the test centre, also in Gillingham - the verbal information, practical training at the training facility and on the road practice sessions all tied together to equip me with the necessary skills to pass the tests on the morning of day five. At age forty four, having not ridden a motorbike for twenty six years - I had more than a few concerns as to my aptitude and initially; I did find the slow maneuvering on the 125cc harder than expected, but my skills and confidence rapidly grew under Steves instruction and by day two I was riding the 650cc around the training course with relative beginners confidence. There are no silly questions with Steve, he allows you to learn through trial and error rather than giving you masses of theory and given the short five day training period available - I found this approach worked perfectly for me, and evidently for the other learners on the course who also passed first time, so I'm happy to recommend Steve at A-Z Rider Training to all. I still can't quite believe it, but yesterday I was test riding a range of 650cc and above bikes at my local motorbike dealer and I enjoyed it so much that I bought my first bike - the Triumph Tiger 800 which I also highly recommend! Book your training sooner rather than later though as there can be quite a long wait for a test date!

Fantastic experience: Steve is motcycle King. I passed with Steve where others had failed me. My old cert expired as I lost faith. But found Steve and re done me CBT, Mod1 and today passed my Mod2 it wasn't my first attempt but wasn't anyone's fault but my own. Steve's advice and knowledge was second to none.

Fantastic experience: Steve is an amazing instructor he will teach you to check your left mirror when you turn right, steer right when you want to turn left and if you feel like you’re going to fall off speed up . As crazy as it sounds it works and the proof is in the pudding. I passed the mod 1+2 first time with Steve’s help .

Fantastic experience: So Steve was recommended to me by a colleague. From the first phone call to arranging training he’s been brilliant. Turning up and starting he was honest and gave excellent feed back. The facilities are so close to the really thing it made doing my MOD 1 a breeze. Through my own stupidly I dipped my MOD 2 but Steve didn’t just let me slope off and dwell on it. 2 days later rung him and I was booked straight back in. Met up with Steve. A good refresher on the day of my test and boom straight through the MOD 2 with a pass. Could recommend Steve enough!
