Fantastic experience: Pass my Category C (Class 2) with A Class on 25/03/24. It took me a few attempts to pass after trying and failing with other companies but I was put at ease, managed to put my anxiety to one side and Pass! Thank you to everyone at A Class HGV!

Fantastic experience: ACLASS & Simon in particular was really good. I learnt so much in such a short space of time. I took the 8 day course which takes you from your car to class 1. They had me spend 3 days in the hgv class 2 vehicle then went onto the class 1 artic. Simon was brilliant throughout, passing all the information over and sharing his knowledge. Fantastic experience: After a couple of failed attempts at my Class 1 with another school, I decided to give A Class a try. The teaching styles at A Class were far better with friendly instructors keen to make sure you feel at ease whilst behind the wheel. They helped rebuild my confidence, praised good driving whilst at the same time providing constructive criticism where needed. They're all good for a bit of a chat and banter. When I did go for my test I passed with only 3 minors! Would recommend! Thanks to my instructors; Jon, Martin and last but not least, Simon!

Fantastic experience: A class is the number 1 driving school to go with would recommend the school to everyone. I have just passed my 7.5 tonne licence today. My instructor Peter helped me to build up my confidence and with his calm nature put me at ease. Very happy that I passed 1st time and can start my carer as a paramedic in the new year.

Fantastic experience: I passed my Cat D with Class A! I am not local to A Class, however, I tried my local Training Schools and the replies were very slow (about 2 weeks for each reply) and were unable to do it until 3 or four months away. I made an enquiry with A Class, who were very accommodating and by the end of the day had a test book for the same month. The instructors were knowledgeable, easy to get along with, and ensured I was test ready. They have their own reversing pad where I could practice until I was ready for the test. I could not fault them and would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Had Paul for my Class 2. Very good instructor and was very patient yet also very stern which was a massive help to me. The same can be said with Jon who I had for my class 1. Got me 2 passes in 2 weeks. Very happy. Very friendly group of people

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to A-class HGV and especially Simon my instructor. I passed my class 2 on the first try today. Simon is excellent teacher. He certainly has his own style of teaching, but trust me it works! His approach will leave you feeling prepared for whatever you may encounter on the road, by following his driving rules you won’t get caught out. He also has great, clever analogies to explain things in a way that you understand, and it really makes things stick. He has very high standards, so if you can please Simon then you are more than ready for your test. If you hear him ‘play’ the harmonica then you know you did something wrong! Thanks also to (young) Roger who instructed me on 1 of my days, also a great instructor who keeps you calm while out on the road and too explains things very clearly. You’ll meet and chat with all the instructors at some point, be it at the burger van when you stop for a quick coffee break, or when doing your CPC and reverse test. They’re a great bunch and whoever you’re paired with you are in good hands. Thanks to Peter and Nikki too for running the show behind the scenes. I highly recommend A-class if you’re looking for quality instruction.

Fantastic experience: A Class = 1st class. A Class is a great company and have some really brilliant instructors. Over the last 2 weeks I have gone through my class 2 and class 1 lessons. I’m glad to say I passed both on my first attempts. Class 2 I had Paul as my instructor he was very good so easy to get along with we had a good laugh and lots of banter, whilst still teaching me and helping me to learn in the class 2 vehicle. he made me feel at ease and made me feel really positive when it came to my test. Thanks mate. Class 1 I had Matt, again Matt was really friendly and easy to get along with. We had a good laugh at time and lots of banter, but he is also a very good instructor as is Paul. To be fair all the instructors I meet from A class over the last 2 weeks are all really easy to get along with and you can have a good laugh with all of them so to you all thank you for everything and making these 2 weeks a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

Fantastic experience: I passed my class 2 test today in a first attempt. I had Martin as my instructor. Really nice guy. He will try to give you the lorry knowledge (info) on the road as much as he can. He helped me built the confidence on the road aswell. Thanks again Martin.

Fantastic experience: To say I was a little nervous and apprehensive would be an understatement but with Simon’s patience, experience, knowledge and belief, he and Peter helped me pass my Class 1 test. I only heard Simon play the harmonica once, after which I knew I had to pull my socks up. I knew I was doing ok when I didn’t hear it again! Can’t recommend A-Class HGV enough with their relaxed but fun way of teaching. Great company with great instructors.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Paul C to get my Class 2 licence. He was excellent. I wanted to get this licence to drive a horse box and as his wife has horses he taught me not only how to pass the test but all the other bits which I would likely experience when transporting horses. He put me at ease and was calm and patient throughout. Absolute legend!

Fantastic experience: I have today passed my class 2 first time with A class. I had an instructor called Paul C and from the off he got me talking which calms the nerves straight away. When driving with Paul he will be firm but fair and still friendly. Paul teaches you the little things you will not only need to pass your test but to transition into professional driving. He also doesn’t talk about your driving unnecessarily, so if he is talking about it listen as it’s needed to pass your test! Overall very happy with the 4 days and the pass at the end so thank you Paul and A class Dan Guichard

Fantastic experience: After a couple of bad experiences with other driving schools I was really nervous to take my C1 test again. I contacted A-class and explained my hesitation and they were accommodating and understanding, offering me a really well priced deal. I carried out two days of training with Roger who was reassuring, positive and helped me regain my confidence in no time. I passed with a-class and had a brilliant experience. Would 100% recommend. Fantastic experience: This is the best driving school I have been to and I would highly recommend it. I failed twice in the previous driving school last month and my test report was awful. When I called A Class to book a short course and a test, they were very friendly and assured me they will do their best to support me. My instructor Simon was wonderful, he encouraged me and cleared all my driving doubts and I passed my C+E driving test on 15 August 22 with only a single minor fault. I am so grateful. The whole team is very friendly and amazing.

Fantastic experience: Passed my PCV Category D with A Class. I had Peter the boss of the business doing my course. 4 days of tuition with test on the 5th, from my first day to the last I grew in confidence and the reward was passing with only 5 minors. Fantastic experience: For my HGV 1 training I had the legend that is Simon, quite possibly the most unorthodox yet brilliant instructor. What a way with words and taught me in a concise and stern manner yet with a constant feed of humour providing the perfect mix of education and enjoyable training. You know you've made a mistake when the 'harmonica starts playing, well, I use the term "playing" very loosely!!! Thanks Simon!!

Fantastic experience: Joined A-Class after doing a Government funded Skills Bootcamp with another provider and previously failed four times. I had Simon as an instructor who gave me the confidence and belief I was good enough to get my license. Simon was calm, down to Earth and developed the skills I had and within a week got me to the level proficient to pass my test. I can’t speak more highly of my experience. And would recommend anyone who wants to obtain their HGV license to do it through A-Class.

Fantastic experience: I changed over to A-Class for my Category C1 after a bad experience with an independent instructor whose impatient and aggressive manner really triggered my anxiety. I was booked in super quickly for a refresher drive and for a second attempt of the practical test. I had Paul as my instructor and my experience couldn’t have been more positive. He was approachable, respectful and just a joy to drive around with. When I made a mistake, he would point it out calmly, let me try again and coach me through how to get it just right. Not once during our driving together did I feel anxious or stressed. The van was also nice to drive, which made a big difference too. I ended up passing the practical test with only two minors. Thank you so much A-Class - I wish I had gone with you straight away.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant company and group of instructors. I was doing my HGV through my workplace(Swains) which led me to Simon, he was very knowledgeable and a fun character. The other instructors also are up for a laugh and will always help with anything. I managed to go from Cat B to C+E in 5 days. Passed first time with 3 minors. Also had my CPC test which was very simple. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Refresher Training I passed my Class 2 in 2006 with another company. As I was working in a different profession at the time I did not drive a Class 2 again immediately. In 2017 I decided to seek work as a lorry driver. I contacted A Class and paid for a private 4 hour lesson with an instructor called Roger. He put me at ease, and I really enjoyed myself. This gave me the confidence to start work as an HGV driver, which I still enjoy. 3rd Party Review. My current workplace has used A Class to train up van drivers to become lorry drivers. 2 of the van drivers have got their Class 2. The other van driver has got his Class 2 and his Class 1! All 3 of these drivers have spoken positively about their experiences with this company. My transport manager is also very happy! I am seriously considering A Class to do my Class 1

My trainer Paul was very down to earth with years of experience in the industry and took extra time to work on the areas he could see I was struggling with and can’t thank him and A-class enough. I would highly recommend A-class as a training company if you are thinking about becoming a lorry driver.

Fantastic experience: Honestly can't thank Paul enough for getting me through my class 2 first time!! I was an overthinking bag of nerves on day one but by test day I had a completely different mind set and ready to go with an "I can do this" attitude. Paul was very thorough, very down to earth and makes it feel like you're out for a sunday drive with your friend.... but don't get too cocky because the man has eyes in the back of his head when you do something wrong and think he's not looking All the guys were great and really welcoming, Roger was really helpful and got me through my CPC and Simon put me at ease for my reverse test. Thoroughly reccomend A Class, I actually think I'm going to miss them all!

Fantastic experience: Had simon as my instructor . Poor bloke had to iron out 37 years of class 2 driving to iron out and my problem of not being able to reverse the drawbar and trailor . Fantastic experience: Cannot fault A class at all they made the whole process of passing my class 1 so easy and couldn't recommend them enough. Peter and John are the two that took me out training and are professionals in what they do, over the course of the week I was lucky enough to meet the others that work at A class and they all seem a great bunch of blokes. On the morning of my test I was so nervous but they kept me focused and I passed first time. No need to shop about and drive yourself mad as there prices are decent and they will teach you properly.

Fantastic experience: What a phenomenal company and fantastic team. I have just spent 5 days training with Simon for my Class 2 and the whole thing from start to finish was sensational. With Simons expert tutorage I was able to pass both my Module 4 CPC and Practical tests. A few of the other trainers also helped me with some insight and some much needed advice and support when it was needed. The lads not only provide HGV training but also moral support and help to build your confidence as a future HGV driver. A***** for A class A little side note, I had a wobble and decided to end my training on the first day. After some thinking time I realized I had made a massive mistake and after a chat with Simon and Aclass they gave me another chance to resume my training schedule. Amazing, no other company would have done that. I'm forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Just done a week's training here to get my HGV Class 2, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The instructors are knowledgeable, experienced, and the banter is top draw. Don't expect crisp uniforms and a corporate look, but do expect real people that really know how to get the best out of you and know the industry backwards. You might fairly describe them as a bit, er 'sweary' but that's the job you're going into and they make you laugh all the time. Special thanks to Roger and Chris for getting me through, and threatening to rename the word "mistake" as "doing a K**". You b*****ds! ;-) Will be back to do my Class 1 unless I find a nice employer willing to train me themselves? 5/5. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: I passed my HGV class 2 with A class on Wednesday 15th of September 2021. With help from Chris my instructor. Chris didn't just help me, he made me look forward to coming in and doing my lessons. Chris taught me all the ins and outs of what I need to know to pass my test. Could not have asked for a better instructor, will definitely keep in touch, I have told and passed on A class name n number to a few friends who are thinking of doing hgv class 2 lessons. Oh and meeting the other instructors Simon n Roger at lunch times was a good laugh as well. Thank you again Chris. top man

Fantastic experience: Passed both my class 2 and class 1 with A Class, Very professional company with good instructors, communication top class and good prices for training. A Class managed to accommodate me for a weekend test which suited me well. Big Thanks to Peter and the instructors.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say a massive thank you to my instructor Simon. Simon made me feel at ease with in ten minutes of meeting him. Simon was very comical but at the same time was serious when he needed to be. Simon had different ways of teaching which helped me a lot. I just hope nobody else had to experience the harmonica like I did, sorry Simon but you can't play it and need more practice haha I would highly recommend a class for class 2 training and most definitely recommend Simon as an instructor. My 5 day course wasn't just training but made fun at times aswell. Was great meeting the other instructors as well as they are just a barrrell of laughs. I will definitely be coming back for my class 1 training and hope to see the instructors again then. Thanks A class with out you I wouldn't have passed

Fantastic experience: What a supurb company! I had some trailer towing experience prior to my two day course with A Class, however I could not have passed without their help. I had a great experience from start to finish, with really helpful and clear instructions even before my arrival. I want to say a special thank you to my instructor who guided me through the two day course, giving me confidence and making feel really relaxed regardless of the outcome. Thank you!

Simon is a great instructor, knowledgeable, understanding, professional and does the business, making it enjoyable at the same time. Massive thanks....now for my class 1, and no guesses where I am going for this! **** Further to this review, have just completed my Class 1 HGV with Simon at A class. Once again a great experience, Simon was brilliant helping me to master something that took me right out of my comfort zone, to the point that not only did I pass the test first time, but also with a clear sheet, no minors, the perfect pass. Couldn't have done that without his help, not a chance, so a massive thankyou to Simon. I you want to do your HGV, dont look anywhere else, look up A class, and ask for Simon if he is available, you will not find a better instructor anywhere 100%. ****

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with A-class, From my initial phone call enquiring about getting my class 2 to passing my test the experience was professional and made me feel at ease. Paul is a great instructor and all round great guy who was able to get me through my test first time with 4 minors. I had gone from never driving a truck on my first day to feeling confident within the first few days and that’s all down to A-class. Thanks to all the guys at A-class

Fantastic experience: A massive and genuinely heartfelt thank you to Simon my A Class instructor, after failing my first test due to my own nerves and having brain fog (not turning indicator off when overtaking a dustbin lorry) I took a holiday, came back refreshed and messaged Simon asking for a re test, Simon being the type of guy he is had me booked up ready to go in less than a week and today was the day, fair to say I was nervous but Simon calmed those nerves and filled me with the confidence needed, he really does have a special way with people and knows exactly when to joke when to be serious and when to give ya those wise words and pick you up when ya need it most and it’s safe to say that With over 30 years in the game this man knows what he talking about. Fantastic experience: Passed my class 2 with a class today! And what a experience it was, Paul has been my instructor for the past week and he is superb at what he does. All the instructors at A-class are brilliant people to be around they create a laid back environment for you to learn in and their training is unbeatable, lovely bunch of people and I've already booked my class 1 in with them because I have full confidence they will get me through it. I can truly say I've enjoyed every moment of my training so a massive thank you to all at a-class and I look forward to starting my class 1 in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank A-class enough especially Simon my instructor. From the moment I did my trial drive I had complete confidence in doing my C class licence. He was so good with me and made things incredible clear and without Simon I would never of passed. The whole of A-class instructors were so much fun to be around. I highly recommend them to get you through. Listen and learn and take everything on board and you will get the job done. Thank you again A-class I will be back for my C+E licence in the near future.

Fantastic experience: Really grateful to Simon and the rest of the team at A Class for helping me pass my Class 2. I failed the first time due to a school boy error on the reversing exercise. But A Class genuinely do care if you pass or not. They tried their best and got me a re-test the following week. The instructor squeezed in reversing practice before the test and showed me techniques to avoid and correct the same mistake, which I used in the test to help me pass. A really great group of friendly people who will work with you on your weakness and help you build your confidence. Can't recommend them enough.
