Fantastic experience: Im not really a review person but I have to say its needed this time. What a cracking bunch of Blokes the Bikes in motion team are, Really down to earth. I completed my Mod 1 & Mod 2 here in Dec 2024. These Guys surely do know their stuff when it comes to teaching. The advice is second to none. I also liked the little tips on slow speed riding that actually helped me out in a big way. The CB650R training bikes seem extremely well maintained and are a pleasure to ride. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Bikes in Motion enough, they are the go to motorcycle training school in Essex. They’ve have made the whole process a really easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Big shout out to Karn you are an absolute legend and have an amazing calming manner. All the instructors are very knowledgeable and very professional, If you are looking to do a DAS course or anything motorcycle training related do with these guys you won’t regret it. They got me a first time pass on both Mod1 and Mod 2.

Fantastic experience: The best motorbike school you can attend. I was recommended them by a friend who had passed his tests for the A license and I couldn't have been more happy. I went from never even sitting on a motorcycle to passing all my tests for the A license first time with no extra lessons due to the excellent way of teaching and the great instructors. Kern, Brian and Phil were especially good in preparing me for the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests. Very down to earth guys and were super helpful with any worries I had in my techniques. I am super pleased with the whole experience from start to finish and I am glad I chose them over anyone else. 5/5.

Fantastic experience: What can I say, excellent all round. Firstly the equipment, all clothing and protective equipment is supplied, wet weather etc. and all in excellent order. Secondly, the bikes, this is where I think BIM excel. Brand new bikes from Honda that have a good balance of power and ergonomics. Lastly, the guys themselves, very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. My instructor (Kern) had the exact right temperament and encouraging attitude to bring out the best in us. I raced motocross for decades and picked up bad habits that were ironed out and I passed my CBT, Mod one and two with Bikes in motion. I honestly can’t say enough good things, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I passed my mod 2 test today although it was bad weather the team made it fun Kurn, Dave , Brian and Paul I cannot rate these enough I went into there shop just for a look round back in April and they said come along for a free 30 minute session which was may or June , I have never been on a bike in my life I done my cbt mod 1 and 2 with them and they helped me all the way through it from start to finish I would rate them with 100 stars if I could Can’t recommend them highly enough with there patience and professionalism

Fantastic experience: Yet another 5 star review for this excellent company. Great instructors (thanks Kern, Phil, Brian and Dave), plus you are taught on very well maintained, recent Honda CBF650 bikes. The clothing and helmets supplied are all new/recent and perfect condition with sizes to fit all. I can’t recommend this company highly enough for first class motorbike training.

Fantastic experience: Superb. I can't recommend Bikes In Motion enough. I went from never even having been a passenger on a bike to passing my A licence in less than 2.5 weeks. All the guys were so professional and confidence inspiring. They were also nice to chat with and it's a very relaxed vibe. Dave managed to get me booked in whilst I had a week between jobs, saving me from having to take time off, which was really good of him. All the admin is taken care of for you (booking the MOD 1 & 2 tests). CBT (and the included, optional extra MOD 1 training) was done at at a large school to practice bike control. Then MOD 1 training at the test centre (riding to and from) and we rode around a lot to build experience for MOD 2. It is a constant learning curve and individual feedback was given all the time, warnings of common mistakes etc. All the bikes are new and the equipment you can borrow is all in good condition so you dont need to buy anything unless you want to. Special thanks to Kern who had faith and encouraged me to try a 300 then onto 650 which inspired me to do the full license. I was really lucky to have one or two instructors just for me on a couple of sessions but never more than one instructor for two riders which makes a huge difference when you need feedback and guidance. For all of these reasons I would recommend Bikes in Motion to anyone. If you live a bit further away and need to travel - do it. It will be well worth it for the quality of tuition and support you will get. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic training school. I passed my CBT, Module 1 and Module 2 through Bikes in motion first time. I had direct training from Martin, Brian and Phil during each stage and all were knowledgeable, professional, full of advice and funny. The same goes for the rest of the team I encountered. I couldn't be happier with the training and results provided by the team of instructors here and I look forward to improve and enjoy riding moving forward. Highly recommended!

From my CBT and all the way through to my MOD 1 & MOD 2 they have all been fantastic. All the guys are so patient and supportive with incredibly calm approach to teaching. Fantastic experience: After meeting some of the other schools whilst waiting for my tests I am so grateful that Bikes in Motion were recommended to me. Completed the CBT, MOD1+2 first time thanks to the great tuition and all of the bikes and equipment were top notch. Being able to use the actual test centre to practice MOD1 makes it easy, no nerves or apprehension because you've done it at the actual place rather than just cones in a carpark. Whenever someone talks to me about doing their test I now just tell them to do it and use bikes in motion, I just wish that I had done it sooner.

Fantastic experience: It's hard not to leave these guys a review! From the minute I called to the second I passed they were absolutely top notch. After booking with another trainer I was persuaded to go with these guys instead! Dave got me all booked in for my MOD 1 within 10 days or so and my MOD2 a week after! I want to give a special shout to Kern and Phil for the impeccable training they provided me and the confidence when I was a nervous wreck. I went from little to no riding experience to a full licence holder in less than 20 days. My regards go out to all the guys here because they are all absolute gentlemen. If you're looking to train look no further because you WILL NOT find a better school. These guys want you to pass and be safe not like some other money grabbing training schools. Fantastic experience: Passed my test a few weeks back now with bikes in motion. A very patient and friendly bunch with a nice style of teaching. Fantastic experience: I'll strat by saying these guy's at bikes in motion are absolutely fantastic. They make you feel so welcome great people. The level of training is second to none iv not been on a bike for 12 years and within a short time iv passed my full a2 licence. Fantastic experience: Best company I have ever paid for the services of, by a long stretch. The customer service is outstanding, the knowledge, understanding and patience of the instructors is second to none and they are extremely good at what they do. Although I had Kern as my main instructor, I also saw/spoke to all of the other instructors (or had them teach/coach me briefly at some point) and all of them are fantastic. Fantastic experience: Really can’t thank you enough! Not having ridden for a very long time, my last road bike being a Fizzy (Yamaha FS1E 50cc), it was a bit of a step up to get on a 650, but thanks to Dave, Kern and Wesley with their great teaching style and guidance I very quickly got to grips with the Honda and found it very easy to ride. I wanted to take my full bike test and looking around the local area I was looking at a couple of training options, but my friend recommended Bikes in Motion, and I am very pleased he did! These guys really know their stuff, it’s well established, well organised with very good communication. For me the whole process was seamless, I just said what dates I could do and Tracey & Dave took care of the rest. For all of the three elements CBT, Mod1 & Mod2 its well worth the money for getting first class training, especially the Mod 1 where you get access to the actual test area to practice in. After my CBT, I then went on to attain first time passes for my Mod 1 and Mod 2. Fantastic experience: A Fantastic company to do your training and certification with. So in 14 days I went from some personal bike experience years back. From doing a CBT - on a Saturday and passing, to a MOD training on a Sunday and the test on the Monday - (Passed) with the help and training from Brian, Kern, Phill and Dave. To the following week, training on a Monday and passing my MOD 2 on a Tuesday. Absolutely fantastic bunch of guys, really knowledgeable and patient with people. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone wanting to learn how to ride and become test ready. Fantastic experience: Well what can I say what a great group of instructors! Never thought when I turned up for my first day of my das I would have passed both mod 1 and mod 2! These guys deserve a medal for dealing my my anxiety and over thinking but they got me there! I can not rate the friendliness and knowledge and most of all for someone like me the calmness. They never made me feel like there was such thing as a stupid question! Even though I am sure I differently asked a few! They are top instructors and I can not rate them enough for anyone looking to do a CBT or DAS course these are your guys! So many places are money grabbers and you hear so many horror stories about schools this is one you can book with confidence that they want you to pass and really care! Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience of taking my CBT, MOD1 & MOD2 all through bikes in motion! I passed each test first time even if sometimes doubting my own ability considering I knew absolutely nothing about riding, just really wanted to do it. I cannot praise the trainers enough particularly Wes, Dave and Kern. Each instructor has their own style but excellent teaching quality! I am not sure on other training schools in the area but if I had to do it all again I would 100% choose bikes in motion again. So if you are contemplating it, choose these guys and don’t look back oh and on a separate note I passed with no minors…somehow haha 2% club Good Luck!

Fantastic experience: I started my CBT at a place in Canvey and walked out halfway through the day initially, then was recommended these guys and SO different. Really nice amount of space, not packed in, great instructors with good ratio of instructors to students, and good quality headsets so you can actually hear what's going on! I ended up taking lessons and full licence with them, and all instructors are great, friendly and I recommend them to everyone ✨️

Fantastic experience: You will simply not regret choosing these guys! Professional, experienced, understanding and so very easy to talk to. It was myself and my husband going for our DAS. Kern was fantastic, you could have a laugh with him. His knowledge and instructions are incredible. We also had a session with Dave, who again was phenominal. All other instructors we had the brief encounters with were hugely positive and friendly. We had dealings with 2 other riding schools before Bikes in Motion (CBT) and they can't compete with them, absolutely wipe the floor. They know how to talk to you and phrase where you are going wrong in a friendly and non demeaning way. If you respect them, they will respect you. We learned on new Honda CB650's and after I expressed my interest in their 750 hornet, they gladly let me learn on it. Always clean and clearly well maintained. I could go on for a lot longer singing their praises but trust us you will not regret going with them.

Fantastic experience: I carried out my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with bikes in motion over a period of roughly a month. I passed both tests first time having never driven a motorbike before previously. Over the course of my training I had tuition on road and off road from Dave, Kern, Brian, Martin, Wes and John and found their expertise and methods of teaching second to none. Easy to understand with very constructive feedback delivered in a positive manner. Would highly recommend this bike school to people of all ages and experiences.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They are such a fantastic, family run business. I knew nothing about bikes at the start and for years put off doing my license because I didn’t want to embarrass myself. These folks were so welcoming and understanding they instantly put you at ease. They are knowledgeable and patient. Not once did I ever feel unsafe. They have a really good method of teaching, and a structure that WORKS but is also they are flexible and tailored their teaching to how you are progressing. I wish I had done this 10 years ago and didn’t put it off for such silly reasons. I cannot recommend them enough. Fantastic experience: Passed my Mod1 a few weeks back with no faults (under the careful tutelage of Brian). Today I passed my Mod2!! Absolutely over the moon, great mentoring from Kern, Brian & also Dave. If you want to learn to ride, then you really don't need to look anywhere else. Theses guys really are top of their game. Fantastic experience: Went with bikes in motion for my CBT today. Had an excellent day. Never ridden a bike before, not even a moped. The training is fantastic from all the instructors. They make you feel very comfortable on and around the bike. I’m now looking to go for my full bike licence with them. The bikes are in amazing condition, all required clothing is supplied. Fantastic experience: What a great riding school this is! I used these for my Mod 1&2 and what a great set up they have. Started with a 2 hour session on private land getting use to a 650 bike, the following day several hours practicing at the DVSA Mod1 site where you take your Mod1 along with a nice ride out on many different roads getting use to the bike. Then the test the following day (passed)! Mod2, nice early 8am start and many hours riding using all the routes you could be doing your test on, test following day, passed!! These guys really make you feel comfortable on and around all the bikes. The instructors are really friendly, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. All the bikes are all relatively new and clearly well looked after. Anyone looking to get onto 2 wheels need not look any further! Not only probably the best riding school out there, but probably the best run business I’ve ever dealt with!! Big shout out to Kern, excellent instructor!!

The bikes are all well maintained and very nice to ride, I even got to ride on their new E-Clutch bike something I would not do everyday. Having spent a long time looking at different riding schools I'm really glad I chose these guys. Utterly professional instruction throughout and an obvious passion for what they do. Having failed both my MOD1 and my MOD 2 the first time around they gave me the confidence to get back on the bike and the skills to get a strong pass second time around. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Back on a bike after 35 year break. Today I passed Mod 2 with just 2 minors. All this in just 6 weeks and all thanks to everyone at ‘Bikes in Motion’. What a great set up! Simply put, if you live in Essex or equally you are willing to travel from a neighbouring county etc. then BIM is the place to go for all your motocycle training needs. The bikes (Honda's) are fantastic for learners and well maintained, all the instructors are extremely knowledagble, helpful and encourage and support you in your journey, big shout out to Brian, Phil and Kern who I mostly engaged with during my time. I will 100% be going for some advanced training in the future and hopefully to attend any events etc. they may do....just to catch up with a bunch of genuinely great people. From passing my CBT again to passing my module 2 was around a month and that was all thanks to Dave and Tracey for being so quick with the bookings and of course Kern and Phill for there incredible help in getting me road safe and test ready. I had a mixture of Kern and Phill for all three of my tests and I can’t thank them enough from not riding a bike for nearly 10 years to passing my module 2 with 0 faults. Fantastic experience: There is no place to start as you can’t fault one single instructor in this company, so I’ll give it a shot. From Brian to Kern to John to Phil and to Dave, what an absolute pleasure it was being taught by such experienced and hilarious instructors there are others I missed out but spoke my journey these guys made it so welcoming I wish I don’t my cbt with them. Each having their own way of teaching you but having the same values and fundamentals to get you to pass is exactly how I managed to pass my Mod1 & Mod2 with zero minors. They give enough information to help guide you but then allow you to make those mistakes whilst being able to correct them without you feeling like you want to give up. The praise and constructive criticism is unmatched and they would never push you to do anything they didn’t think you could accomplish. Honestly when I took my cbt with another company I was 50/50 about going through with my full license, however talking to Dave then meeting the team, how could I not? The knowledge again these men carry is unmatched honestly to giving advice about bikes and how to correct any errors to literally their memory through each route you take with them and them being yards ahead of you and realising you’ve stalled an e clutch bike -_- . If you had any doubts about riding or had a bad experience I’d say before calling it quits call up or even pop down and have a chat with any single one of them there and I promise your mind will be at ease. Can’t thank them enough, I’d even take it as far as doing another booster a year on with them just to get confidence or assisting in expanding any knowledge about riding and how to keep as safe as possible without looking like a melt. Fantastic experience: From taking the CBT in Feb to completing the mod 2 in May, I have had nothing but a positive experience with this incredible team. These are some seriously passionate individuals who just want to provide the best training and lay the best foundations before setting you free. Having had 3 different instructors for each of the steps, each one were accommodating, answered my hundreds of questions and were flexible when I needed to change dates at the last minute. The Saturday morning try out day to get used to the bikes is a brilliant idea ! My instructors Phil and Kern were spot on ! Communication from Dave and Tracy is excellent! Will recommend to every one I can !

Fantastic experience: Passed Mod 2 first time today and couldn’t be any happier. I had a few attempts on Mod1 but that was down to me being silly and nervous on the test date. Not regretting failing as everytime I had the chance to ride with a different instructor and prepared me better. This team will not only help you pass your modules, they will teach you how to properly ride a motorcycle and boost your confidence. They are skilled, professional and incredible friendly. Fantastic experience: Massive thanks to everyone at bikes in motion! Even though I jumped straight from cbt to das I Passed my mod 1 and mod 2 first time with no faults, couldn’t have done it without them! It’s well worth spending a little extra to get more seat time in between modules so you can become a better rider.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT, CBT+ and DAS MOD 1 and MOD 2 with bikes in motion and honestly could not have asked for better mentors with seeing me through my Motorcycle license Journey. Brian was my instructor on the day of my refresher, he was calm and clear in his training which gave me massive confidence and in a short space of time I felt as though I turned the clock back 12 years. Fantastic experience: I'm so pleased I chose Bikes in Motion to do my CBT and DAS course. I passed mod1 and mod2 first time thanks to my instructor Kern who was a great bloke. Everyone who worked at Bikes in Motion were fantastic, thanks also to Dave and Brian. Yes they were the cheapest I could find in the area but I don't know why because they had pretty much brand new bikes and quality equipment as well as heated jackets. Even if they were more expensive than competitors they would be worth it.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend “bikes in motion” and everything about it, all instructors are so skilful and able to take you from scratch and make you a decent rider it’s unbelievable, I chose them based on reviews and other people experience and turn out even better than I expected, have walked in there just few weeks back intending to get a direct access without any experience and I just finished yesterday passing mod two and I can’t even recommend them enough! On one hand I’m happy I’ve passed and got my license but on the other hand I’ll rely miss the days with them ! BIKES IN MOTION won’t just help you get a license they will give you a nice experience while you’re getting trained for one!

Fantastic experience: All the guys from Bikes in Motion were fantastic. My first time on a bike bigger than 125cc and they made the whole process smooth and easy. Fantastic experience: Absolutely perfect riding school, completed my CBT renewal and A2 Mod 2 Test a month apart after training with this school and they're all a bunch of genuinely friendly and helpful characters. My instructors were Brian, Kern and Dave and they were all excellent, patient and explain everything perfectly. Not a fault to be found with them.

Fantastic experience: This is a really professional and well organised school. All the instructors are passionate about their jobs, and their love of biking is clear to see. Using the actual test centre for Mod 1 training really helped me to get a feel for what the Mod 1 test would be like and before my Mod 2 test, they gave me plenty of experience of the areas around the test centre, and what to expect on the test. The bikes are good quality nearly new models, which also makes a difference. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I completed my A2 and A license, 2 years apart, with Bikes In Motion and can safely say they’re the best riding school. All of their instructors are friendly and supportive, they’re extremely knowledgeable and boost your confidence throughout your training. A special thanks to Kern as he helped me through most of my training. Kern is a really calm, friendly and thorough instructor. Thanks to him I passed first time both times, and I’m now a lot more confident on 2 wheels than I was when I first met him. The training program is well structured, with plenty of training and advice before both tests, and the bikes they use are really well kept and lovely to ride.
