Fantastic experience: Did my CBT here having never ridden before and Chris was exceptional as my instructor. He was so patient and made me feel confident in riding. Everyone was very friendly, and I will definitely be returning to do my test.

Fantastic experience: Started my biking journey in September with my CBT - Sam took me for this and was helpful and chilled and allowed for a calm and ease of mind day. Bought a 125 rode around for a few months, booked my DAS. Bryan took us initially which again was such an ease of mind time. Matty joined to recently being trained up and was a big help too for the MOD 1 training. Had Andy later in the course and his knowledge really does come through and was with us for the final day and the MOD 2. Thank you team for helping me though onto my full license - Final shoutout to Terri for all the communication and updates out of hours.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience, I couldn’t recommend 1st castle high enough. I have just completed a DAS with the team and couldn’t be happier passing my Mod 1 and 2 first time. From the moment I got in touch with them they made everything easy, Terri was great booking everything and made me feel at ease giving me confirmation of the course with times and dates. I then went and attended the training days with them and was passed a wealth of knowledge from Brian and Matty who where extremely patient ensuring we didn’t move on until I was happy and had grasped everything, I left these days extremely confident knowing I would pass Mod 1, and vice versa for Mod 2. Fantastic experience: I completed my cbt yesterday. I wanted to complete it on a manual but struggled to get used to it with no riding or road experience at all. In the end i was happy with their decision to complete it on an automatic and it was the right thing to do as it taught me a lot about the basics of riding and balancing on the bike and after a rough start to the day i ended up more confident and felt good riding out on the road. Big thanks to Brian and Colin for persevering with me, in the end they really helped me a lot in getting me confident riding a bike and gaining experience from it. Really great helpful instructors, they are very good at helping and teaching you with everything you need to know even if it takes longer than expected to get where you need to be. Cant thank them enough for helping me out especially from my rough start yesterday. Would highly recommend them for motorcycle training.

Fantastic experience: Found these guys online and booked my CBT. On the day I was nervous as it was first time on a bike, I went for a manual and they took the time to go through clutch control and shifting gears. I got my certificate and have been riding a manual ever since. These guys are great, friendly and have a lot of information and advice any new rider would need. Five stars for you guys and I also recommended them to a friend who wanted to get their CBT certificate. I hope to come back and get my full licence in the future.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT today, after never riding a bike before, i was a ball of nerves. as soon as i arrived i was put at ease. there is absolutely no judgement, yet they teach you to the highest standard and safety in their riders is their number one priority. i had such an amazing day with Collin and Sam, non stop laughing! these guys are great and make the day feel like a breeze! whilst still teaching you everything correctly and leaving you confident and safe. the bikes are lovely and the ride out was amazing! definitely recommend this place and will not be going anywhere else! such a brilliant day and gutted it’ll be another two years until i’m back! They do a good chunk of the day in the training area they have, teaching you eveything you possibly need to know and ensuring everyone is happy and contempt. the maximum class size was four so this was great as there was two instructors. they run each person through practices too to give their full attention. once everyone is happy, they split the class into pairs and take two people out each on a ride. this was the best part of the day! it was amazing! reaching fifty miles an hour after never being on a bike before today felt surreal. i didn’t feel unsafe for one second today due to sam and collin. they talk constantly over the headset to keep your mind settled and the singing and jokes from collin really relax you and make you laugh! any nerves disappear !! 10000% recommend !

Fantastic experience: I had CBT training with Colin on 17 Aug 2024. I found Colin very professional and very dedicated in teach us the course. He went through all elements with us thoroughly, and explained them well. I was a bit stress that we have to go on road riding at the end of lesson to complete the training, as I have zero experience of riding on the road. Colin understood my fear and he tried to make me feel at ease. The riding training at the car park was great, I learned a lot. Colin was very patient and reassuring. Finally when we finally went on road riding, he gave us clear instructions, the riding experience was safe and enjoyable. I enjoyed the CBT course very much. Highly recommended Colin and 1st Castle.

Fantastic experience: I booked my CBT test here and I’m glad I did. The guys are amazing teachers and they kept it lighthearted and calm. They were really good in helping build my confidence on the bike while making sure I was safe. Would 100% recommend them to anyone young or old planning on doing there CBT or motorcycle tests. Fantastic experience: Booked a Back to Bikes day after 40 years of not riding. Matt was excellent and the pace of the day got me confident enough to ride back on the roads and really enjoy it. Certainly highlighted areas I had to work on. I would absolutely recommend 1st Castle as a safe way to get back on a Bike after a long break.

Fantastic experience: Throughout my A license training the team have been fantastic. The calm approach to training along with the humour was exactly what I needed to keep my nerves at bay. Having failed mod 1 the first time round, I was invited back for a another training session at the test centre which really helped me prepare for my second attempt. The mod 2 training was fun and informative and really put me at ease ready for my test. Overall I couldn't recommend 1st castle, enough, especially Pinky and Bryan. I did my cbt with them and i know a few people who have done their A1 with their company and there have been no complaints . They really help you work on your mistakes and talk you through it all .

Tried a manual for the first part of the test and it was great, but quickly went over to a moped for the on road part which was easy.

After completing my CBT on automatic I wanted to complete the gear exchange, I was contacted my Terri who has been fantastic, who managed to get me booked in with a senior instructor John for the following day for my gear exchange, now i can get on my motorbike with confidence. Fantastic experience: **1st Castle Motorcycle Training Review** I recently completed my CBT and Direct Access Course with 1st Castle Motorcycle Training, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! My CBT, held on the 11th of June 2024, was led by Pinky. It was an incredibly fun session, and Pinky made everything so easy to understand. His teaching style is fantastic—engaging, clear, and very supportive. After the CBT, I embarked on a 4-day Direct Access Course with Bryan and Pinky. Both instructors were exceptional. Bryan, in particular, has a knack for making complex concepts simple and maintaining a calm and reassuring atmosphere, which is perfect if you're feeling nervous about tackling the CBT or DAS. These guys truly know how to put you at ease and build your confidence. Thanks to their excellent training, I passed my Mod 1 on the 8th of July and Mod 2 on the 15th of July. A big shout out to Terri as well, who was always available to answer my questions, no matter the time of day. Terri kept me updated regularly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. If you're looking to get your motorcycle license, I highly recommend 1st Castle Motorcycle Training. The team is professional, supportive, and will ensure you not only pass but enjoy the journey.

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my mod1 and mod2 first time. I cant recommend this company enough for motocycle training. From enquiring to my first day, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Each day started on time or early. We used up every second of the day learning and riding. Most of my training was done with Pinky. Pinky was super patient and made the whole process stress free and enjoyable. Had 1 day with another instructor Brian. Again friendly and made everything stress free. Both instructors full of knowledge.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with these guys, and I'm gonna start by saying...hoo boy, it didn't go well. Got horrific sunburn for one (slap on some sun cream because you're outside a lot, don't be an idiot like me) so when it came to the afternoon road ride I was all sunbaked and dopey, combined with the D day anniversary traffic and my incredible ability to just not retain any knowledge about how a bike works it was not exactly a pleasant experience. But, a negative experience for me (all my own doing) does not mean it wasn't a positive experience overall. The two instructors we had were amazing, they have been doing this for years clearly but managed to tailor everything to me and the three other guys there. They didn't just treat it as 'another day at the office', and they absolutely nailed every part of the training offering support where you needed it and made it very clear if you needed more help they would assist without making (too much) fun of you. Yes, the ride on the road was mostly the instructor berating me over the radio after stalling, not changing gears correctly or not going the speed limit, but it was all my own mistakes and his voice still rings in my head. I passed, just about, with a caveat of I needed to practice more on my own. So I have been. I got a bike the next day, rode it home and kept all their advice with me. Somehow it all sank in then. Every night for a week I was practicing in an empty car park, keeping all their advice in the back of my mind. Today I did the same ride we did for the road test and I think I would've done my instructor proud. Do your CBT here. First time or renewal, it doesn't matter. I can guarantee it will change your life.

Negative experience: Don’t send your young children here , awful instructors , shouted , made them hurry up by clapping hands , told my son he was appalling ! Should be there to help and encourage ! Told me and husband ‘ what ever you do don’t let him ever have a bike ‘ it was his 1st time on a bike and in a nervous stressful environment! Would not recommend!

My DAS course started in the hands of Bryan, and i simply cannot imagine you can find a more knowledgeable and professional instructor. Just brilliant! Pinky took me through my final day and helped me to pass my MOD2, he helped settle any nerves and made a nervous day both calm and relaxing one also. I cant recommend 1st Castle more highly. A great team, professional, focused, knowledgeable, relatable, and fun too. If you are thinking of learning, do yourself a favour by choosing to do it with these guys. Thank you Terri, Matt, Pinky and Bryan for everything!

Fantastic experience: So I took the cbt test today. I met some great instructors. Good bikes, all the equipment you need, affordable training. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in about 5 years, but thanks to Brian and Matt I quickly regained my knowledge and skills. Half of the test was taught by Brian and the ride was taken by Matt. Thank you. It was an amazing day. I recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing day with Colin doing my CBT. I went from never having sat on a motorbike before to out on the road absolutely loving it. I'm looking forward to falling headfirst into biking and I don't know what more I could have asked for in a first experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve done 2 CBT’s with 1st castle now, the guys put you at ease & explain everything clearly and take their time to make sure you understand. I can’t fault these guys at all, I always come away confident & excited to get on the road. Particularly Colin, Bryan and Pinky have always made my time there enjoyable, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure you are safe and ready to get on 2 wheels. Can’t recommend them enough and I’d never go anywhere else for bike training! Thanks for making it not only informative but fun too!

Fantastic experience: Just finished my DAS course with 1st castle and to say that i couldn't have done it without them would be an understatement. Without their relentless encouragement, understanding and patience throughout my CBT and DAS i have no doubts that i would never have been able to achieve my full license. If you're under any doubts, don't be! These guys are the absolute best in the business! If i could give more than 5 stars i would.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of doing my CBT yesterday 57 years old and know nothing about a moped..these guys are so patient,everything is walked through and explained Cleary. If you need any extra help or advice don't be shy in asking Phil is a awsome instructor with a great sense of humor. The weather was a absolute bonus and the seafront ride was very very cool. Fantastic experience: Had the most amazing time at 1st Castle doing my CBT with Sam! Seriously, it was life-changing. Sam is just awesome, super understanding and helpful. The Ride was very fun and not scary at all! The place itself is so chill, perfect for getting into the right headspace. And the staff? Total pros. They made me feel right at home from the get-go. Fantastic experience: I did my CBT and DAS course with 1st Castle. They will get you to a high standard if you are willing to take their advice and learn from your mistakes. One of the best parts is that for your mod1 I’ll be able to practice in the area that you will actually get tested in wich boosted my confidence greatly. The team have a good sense of humour but will be firm when needed. Also unlike some other places they book your tests separately so that if by chance you fail mod1 you won’t loose money on your mod2 like some other places. Great all round

Fantastic experience: As a new rider and being very new to the roads, these people are the best ones to help you get your confidence up while still being able to have a laugh, I would very much recommend first castle for every new rider to the roads. 10/10 would recommend for anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Just passed Mod 2 with 1st Castle, passed on second attempt on a very cold day with blue skies. So now to the start of my motorcycling journey. But first of all a massive thank you is needed to Pinky, a brilliant instructor. Patient, funny, caring and kind not that he would admit any of it. Pushed me out of my comfort zone on several occasions, which is definitely what I needed. Communication was all carried out by text, it was very clear concise and efficient, so a big thank you also to Terri who does a wonderful job making sure everything runs smoothly. Thank you team 1st Castle I couldn't have done it without you.

Fantastic experience: Finally pulled my finger out and decided to get my bike licence, couldn’t recommend 1st castle enough ! Done my CBT , Mod 1 training and I passed my Mod 2 today ! Great bunch of lads that are very knowledgeable and genuine bike people ! Made the whole experience Stress free and were all a massive help

Fantastic experience: Really recommend these guys for any first timer wanting to learn. I was completely inexperienced and both Sam and Matthew helped me through everything. There was a few areas of overthinking on my side, but they took the time to talk me through and passed my CBT. Thanks and I will be back for my next bit of training.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with 1st Castle in December 2023 and recently, August 2024, passed my DAS course to receive my full motorbike license. Both courses delivered from 1st Castle were enjoyable experiences, the staff and instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable, able to deliver the material in a fun and engaging way. I cannot recommend this riding school enough, anyone who learns from them are learning from the best!
