Fantastic experience: Dilwar Rahman is the best driving instructor around , he made me feel confident that I was going to pass and taught me everything I needed to know , he was flexible on timings and always wanted the best for me , was very calm and patient and always kept encouraging me .

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing teacher! I truly never thought that I would ever be able to drive and had almost given up before giving it one last shot. As someone who had learnt unsuccessfully with 3 different instructors, I can't recommend Dilwar enough. He's an amazing teacher and on every lesson you will get... 1. A supportive, empathetic and encouraging instructor. Even on your worst lessons, Dilwar will always be there to encourage you, build your confidence and adapt his teaching style or lesson to suit your needs. He really understands the difference that being able to drive can make to peoples lives and how frustrating the process can be, so he'll always be by your side to push you on. 2. Proper, transferrable driving skills so that you'll feel confident and capable to drive on any road, not just the test routes. He teaches to an incredibly high standard, so much so that when you take your test, it will feel like a breeze. 3. Fun! Who knew that learning to drive could be fun? I used to dread lessons with other instructors but always laughed and had fun on my lessons with Dilwar (even the ones when I cried with frustration at the silly mistakes that I would make!). I passed first time and NEVER thought I'd be able to say that. If, like I was, you're feeling anxious about driving and/or have tried before but never felt confident, then I would highly recommend Dilwar. Hands down, the best driving instructor out there.

Negative experience: Stopped my lessons for no reason and blocked me number could told me when i finished my last lesson! ,got test in May aswell will have to cancel now nevermind thanks dilwar.

Fantastic experience: I had Dilwar as an instructor and he was very good throughout the whole time I was learning to drive. He made sure I was comfortable on my first lesson as I hadn’t been in a car for ages. He continuously made sure throughout my learning that I had retained the information and didn’t step in too much as he wanted to make sure I had actually listened and learned from him. He would always ask what I thought I needed more help with and wasn’t confident with so we could work on that more leading up to my test. I managed to pass my test first time with him!

Negative experience: Instructor did not show up, did not answer the phone and did not call with explanations. An absolute waste of time, three weeks waiting for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I put off learning to drive for years because I was so anxious about it and genuinely believed I couldn’t do it. Dilwar was amazing, he was very patient but also knew when I just needed to get on with it , which has really helped build my confidence. He believed in me all the way and I just passed my test first time which is something I didn’t think was possible! I don’t think I could have achieved this with a different instructor, so a massive thank you to Dilwar. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Ripa was amazing, I already had 40 hours experience and changed instructors due to not progressing after two failed tests but I wish I had Ripa from the start. Fantastic experience: Dilwar is an impeccable driving instructor! I have moved around a lot with work and I have had 3 different instructors before Dilwar. Dilwar stood out when he said "I'm not teaching you to pass the test, I'm teaching you to become a safe driver for you, your friends, your family and every other car user on the roads and for you to be able to drive anywhere". He teaches principles and does not encourage you to memorise test routes. He balances constructive critisism with positive encouragement. I had developed so many bad habits having had so much time on the roads prior to my time with Dilwar. Which in a peculiar way it is harder to teach someone like me as opposed to a new learner. I passed with only 2 minors and hand on heart know that I got very lucky finding Dilwar. My only regret is that Dilwar was not my 1st instructor as it would have saved me so much money, time and heartbreak! Thank you so much Dilwar!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been driving for many years outside the UK and now had to obtain British DL. Sounds easy? It is not at all because I had to get rid of years of bad habits and adapt to the driving test requirements and the British driving system and rules. I was so lucky to come across Dilwar and "Drive Confident" and I just passed my test. He really does care that his students drive well, safe and confident. First, he is very patient, very friendly but also knowledgeable and very thorough and always pays attention to the smallest details. A brilliant instructor. Second, he is a really good person and he always think first about what is best for his students.

Fantastic experience: I feel so lucky to have found Drive Confident. As someone who suffers with anxiety, the thought of starting with a new driving school 3rd December at the earliest and working towards a practical test date of 17th December with only 12 hours of experience with an instructor under my belt was beyond terrifying, but Dilwar was great from start to finish. I reached out at the beginning of the November lockdown after my first driving school advised they could no longer fulfil my intense driving course. Dilwar was kind enough to keep my details and contact me closer to the end of lockdown to arrange an assessment lesson. Dilwar’s empathetic nature put me at ease straight away, so at the end of my assessment I booked my next 10 hours of lessons without hesitation. Dilwar was kind enough to fit in as many hours as possible with me in a bid to allow me to keep my 17th December test. We completed 12 hours in total and yesterday I passed my test first time with only 4 minors. It’s incredible that we managed to cover so much ground in such a short space of time (pardon the pun) and I’ll be forever grateful to Dilwar for all of the knowledge he imparted on me in order to make me a safe driver for life. Contrary to another review left a month ago, Dilwar is a very kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering going with this school. Thank you Dilwar.

He was patient with me and really helped me build my confidence behind the wheel, I looked forward to every lesson we had and always came back from each lesson feeling like I was taking a step in the right direction. Negative experience: I personally do not recommend this company. A driving instructor should never yell at a customer for making a minor mistake. I remember being yelled at for not knowing an answer whilst I was driving. It honestly got to a point where I dreaded the next lesson. Once my lessons were up I went elsewhere. I ended up getting my license shortly afterward. Perhaps this was an isolated incident, looking at other reviews, but I certainly do not think it is acceptable behaviour. FYI I had Dilwar as an instructor.
