Fantastic experience: I have a license but I hadn't driven in over a decade, and I felt very nervous and lacking in confidence to start again. Nicola was fantastic in helping me pick up driving again - she was always very reassuring, patient and kind as she gently and gradually built up my confidence and de-rusted my skills. Really felt like I've come a long way through our lessons and now feel ready to start driving more independently again. Thanks so much!
Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Nicola, always been prompt and highly reliable I passed my driving test first time with her 5 stars all the way
Fantastic experience: Both me and my husband passed our driving tests with the help of Nicola. She's patient, personable, and really thorough. Even with my difficult schedule, Nicola always went above and beyond to fit my lessons in. Being able to do a mock test with her husband Kevin, who is also a great instructor, was a huge help before the test. Thank you both!
Fantastic experience: I was taught by Nicola at Beltin drivings school... I moved to Wigan in Aug, and contacted Nicola late July ..she was able fit me easily into her weekly Aug schedules. Was previously let down by my instructor at Nottingham who scammed me off money, made me anxious about driving, and overall wasn’t very confidant at all...I was giving up hope for ever driving. I switched to Automatic with Nicola with the hopes of passing first time and indeed I’ve passed today with 7 minors. Nicolas teaching methods are very book based, her instructions are clear, and she is very patient. She put me ease at driving and taught me the DVLA requirements for safe driving. Her criticism are constructive and she constantly remind you of your mistakes .. so you always know what to work on… She actively took me to Chorley .. so I became familiar with the test routes. She is also very knowledgeable, and up to date with driving guidelines. I will continue to utilise all the safe practical steps Nicola has taught me.. real learning starts now!! Thanks once again Nicola for all the help!!
Negative experience: ADDITION !! Someone in connection to Nicola now seems to be posting fake reviews on her facebook page. This woman cannot be trusted. All necessary evidence has been submitted, but if you want a good laugh check out Sam Chase on facebook (better know as João Pedro Mota). I started my driving lessons with Nicola on Monday the 23rd of January. I had her as my instructor for a total of 79 days. In that space of time, we attempted to arrange 16 lessons. I have been on 5 empty ones, filled with minimal teaching despite being 2 hours long. There has been a supposed “cancellation” on my half, i was originally asking for a rearrangement. Due to Nicola then asking me to prioritise her lesson over me being able to make a living, i decided this was no longer the instructor for me. I did not cancel my lesson with her, i gave her an advanced notice that i would never get into a car with her again. This instructor could not even show me a tenth of the understanding and leniency that i had shown her. I had given her more notice than she had ever given me, more time to find new plans for that day then she had ever given me. I have lost out now on both valuable time to learn how to drive and extra shifts at work due to this woman’s pathetic work ethos and general unprofessionalism. 10 times Nicola had given me less than a days notice for a rearrangement/cancellation of my lesson. 10 times i had lost out on potential extra shifts. 10 times she could not even give me the common decency or courtesy of more than 24 hours notice. In what world does a driving instructors car break on them twice and they still stay with the same car? Despite it costing 2 whole days of lessons, as far as i am aware. A few times i was given less than half an hours notice before a cancellation. This is actually a reportable action on the Gov website, and i have taken this up with the DVLA. I had only put up with her this long due to the lack of auto driving instructors and the fact that i am autistic and generally don’t do well with switching from person to person. But with her continued lack of care for my time and the fact that my life cannot be set around her lesson, i will have to put up with this change. The fact a driving instructor would even have the gall to tell me to refuse a shift/refuse my boss is actually insane for me. I pay for her services and she’s telling me how to act at work? Absolutely not. I don’t like coming to facebook and leaving negative reviews, especially not long ones. But i feel any potential new pupil of hers needs to understand exactly what kind of behaviour they are going to be paying for. The lack of respect for time, lack of professionalism, lack of predictability. Just a generally miserably inadequate behaviour standard all round. Save yourself some time and a lot of money and look elsewhere if you’re looking to learn to drive. Look for an instructor who takes their job seriously. Look for more respect. Look for reliability. If you want to learn how to drive, look somewhere else, because this is not the driving school for you.
