Positive experience: Don’t expect to get paid for your expenses , worked in Coventry for these when started got had off with expenses so be careful Girl fell on bus getting on with loose panel told Lee manager oh did she was his response nothing else Condition of employment sign waver will pay for damages , Wigan reverse into pitch black yard wouldn’t get lights switched on so not happy when said this is a joke lights are their sort it Double up on trainees in wagon so be careful you ask am I going to be doubled up before starting

Negative experience: Don't use these for car driving lessons , sent me on a lesson with the most unprofessional instructor ever know , was playing music through the radio car was a tip inside lasted 5mins on the lesson , informed craig Baker not interested no refund no help just fob you off with drivers are self employed, try find someone else if after car driving lessons

Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Wayne for getting me through the C1 training on the 5 hours training day. We squeezed both the reversing exercise training and practical driving test into the 5hr slot, and I passed both first time! Wayne my instructor was brilliant! He was really friendly from the start and made me feel really comfortable. He explained things really well and picked up really quickly on my bad habits, and got me to fix them. I'm really made up with my training and would definitely recommend them to other people looking to do their C1.

Positive experience: I applied for HGV course in Mar 2024. It explained clearly for every details which addressed my concern. In the entire process, there were several changes of lesson schedule made by the company, which I was not informed beforehand. Instructors were normally good except one of which was reluctant to tell you more. Steve is an excellent instructor who is experienced and observant. He pointed out the area for improvement which helped me a lot. On the day of thrid attempt, instructor was late. I waited outside the site for an hour. In addition to exam nervousness, I felt very anxious. I tried calling office serveral times but it only replied heedlessly. Finally, Chris arrived and did apologised and explained it was due to severe traffic (I read news after test). He eased me and told me what had to be address. He is an excellent mentor, experienced and patient. I requested for compensation after passing my test. I couldn't get proper reason for misarrangement but sophistry. The overall experience is good so I don't bother. But the star is lost here.

Negative experience: I recently booked a 4 hour course with this company. Craig was amazing from my initial call. He booked me in and a price was agreed. He said I would need to travel to Wigan, I agreed as it was a 1 and half hour drive from West Yorkshire. I set off at 6am got to Wigan for 8am. I then not knowing where my test was had to drive another hour and half to Wrexham where the test would be. I had no training what so ever because of where the test had been booked. I was mentally drained and exhausted by the time it was time for my test. This company had a duty of care to explain and confirm if I was happy to travel a further hour and a half for the test. Extremely extremely disappointed.

I contacted a few companies and what really struck out about Craig Baker is I got an email back in a timely manner with the information I asked for . (Course length and cost) . They did not try to sell me the course or pressure me , they just provided the information which was excellent . Libby in the office is excellent and guides you through the whole process, booking all the relevant stages in at a mutually convenient time . All the driving instructors I had were knowledgable in their field and made me feel as ease whilst learning to drive . Fantastic experience: Well what can I say. Went in as a car driver. Very little experience with trucks. Kyle taught me everything there was to know about reversing and uncoupling and recoupling the trailer. By the end of the week all the lads taught me everything and questions I had. I started by holding the steering wheel as tight possible and then by the time I did my test I was as relaxed and more confident with driving. Passed first time with 2 minors. I can't thank the guys enough for helping me through this week. Had a great time and a laugh as well with all of the instructors. Would defo recommend. A big thank you to chris and Phill that got me out of 2 predicaments and a recovery truck cutting right infront of us.

Fantastic experience: I passed my cat C with Craig Baker earlier in the year and booked to do my CE shortly after. I did not consider going anywhere else as I couldn't fault the training I received the first time round and thanks to the excellent training I received this week, I now have my CE too. You receive a high standard of professional training and the instructors all have years of experience within the industry so will give guidance and answer any questions about finding employment after gaining your licence.

Fantastic experience: I passed my CE test today and it is all thanks to everyone at Craig Baker. Everyone there was extremely professional but also kept it casual so you felt comfortable. We worked in a pair for the first few lessons then I had 1-1 training. I was shown everything needed to pass my test on the second attempt. The first attempt I failed due to my own mistakes. Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant bunch of lads. Went from turning up on Saturday, having not driven or even stepped into a HGV. To then progressing through my course, having my C+E part 3a on Tuesday and passing. Then having my C+E part 3b on Wednesday getting a first time pass. Plenty of breaks throughout the day gives you time to grab a bite to eat or a drink. Great instructors who are very approachable, especially when trying to understand where to fix my mistakes. Fantastic experience: Thanks Craig Baker for the driving lessons. It really helped me to clear the exam today (08-01-2024) for Category B. Special thanks to Dylan Bodell for all the sessions. He made sure we were doing sessions as per my request. It made things easy and comfortable for me. Mistakes were discussed on regular basis and got answers to many of my questions. Fantastic experience: Great experience with Craig Baker Driving School to get my C1 license. They accommodated for my restricted schedule when multiple other companies were unwilling to and also helped with the entire process (from organising my theory, providing learning resources, and the practical lessons before my test). Fantastic experience: I could not recommend the company any more / rate them any higher. I did the crash course from car straight to Class 1. I had various instructors, and I could not have asked for any better people. My main instructors were Dave, Chris, Kyle. These guys (and the rest) made me feel so comfortable, welcome. They were all highly experienced, and all gave me different approaches to certain similar circumstances, which really helped give me perspective. I had passed all tests within 2 weeks of the first time I stepped into a HGV. Such down to earth people - they have confirmed / made me realise that I am definitely stepping into the correct game with the HGV world. Also special shoutout to Kerry (in the office) who also made me feel part of the family. I hope to see each and every one of them in the future! Highly highly recommend, thanks Craig Baker!

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Professional! Friendly! Informative! Successful! My own instructor Lee was ace, treated me with respect, tutored me expertly and shared his years of experience in a non patronising manner which was really important to me. I was put at ease from day 1. I was made to feel confident in my abilities and taken through the driving in a practical way to make sure that doing the mirror checks and safety manoeuvres became second nature. I was praised appropriately and reminded in a nice way when I lost my way. Lee was patient and kind but strict which led me to succeed in getting my LGV qualification on my first go An added bonus was meeting the lovely Dave who took me through the reversing test. I had loads of time to practice and passed in a nice relaxed approach. A nicer bunch of fellas you couldn’t meet. They’re all really cheerful and optimistic and genuine. I loved my three days at Craig Baker training Thank you Lee and your team Craig should be proud

Fantastic experience: Booked these company through my company, I was really nervous about doing my class 1 but after 4 days with the trainers I felt comfortable and ready for my test.Really down to earth family run business All the trainers here are really nice and happy to help. Special mention to Chris who I had for all my training he was really good and helped me pass. I would highly recommend these if you’re thinking about booking any sort of driver training. Cheers lads

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Craig Barker Driving Training. I had an amazing time. I felt very comfortable and was encouraged throughout my lessons. I had a great time with Lee, it was lighthearted, professional, and very supportive even on the test day which made learning less stressful. I can’t thank all the team enough for all the time and enthusiasm, they put into the lessons to make sure that I had relevant the skills and knowledge to pass.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend enough as I had the most enjoyable time learning my C1 at Craig Baker, as a professional dope I was made to feel very comfortable and was encouraged constantly throughout my lessons. All the instructors I met were extremely friendly and allowed me to have a fun time while learning skills which can be stressful. Everyone there is so supportive and continued to believe in me despite a couple of minor set backs, cannot thank them all enough for all the time and energy they spent on me. Fantastic experience: Craig Baker Driver Training are amazing! I was obviously nervous before getting into a Class 2 vehicle as I’d never driven anything so big before. My Instructor Kyle put me at ease from the second he introduced himself. His training/teaching style is absolutely amazing and he not only gave me confidence from the very start but also gave loads of positive feedback, even when I’d not got things quite right. He was friendly, professional and a very good ambassador not only for the company, but for the industry. I’m obviously delighted I passed, and can’t thank Craig Baker Driver Training and Kyle enough, they’re highly recommendable!
