Matt Shurmer - Driving School

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend learning to drive with Matt Shurmer driving school. I was very nervous at first but my instructor Dean was very patient and understanding which helped me to become a very confident driver. With the help of Dean I managed to passed first time and couldn’t be happier with my results!

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Dean! I chose Matt Shurmer Driving School because it had been recommended to me by multiple friends. Learning to drive wasn’t an easy process and I was very lucky to have Dean as my instructor because I honestly couldn’t have thought of any improvements he could make. I always felt comfortable in my lessons and also always felt that progress had been made each lesson. Dean was an outstanding teacher. I would 100% recommend Matt Shurmer Driving School to anyone who is wanting to learn to drive. Thank you for all your help!

Fantastic experience: 1- Who was your Instructor? Lord Graham. 2- Why did you choose Matt Shurmer Driving School? Initially Matt Shurmer was the first driving school I looked at because it was advertised a lot in my area, but I thought it was a bit expensive, however after trying another driving school I realised not choosing MSDS purely for pricing was the completely wrong decision, spending more on learning to drive was definitely worth it. 3- How did learning to drive compare to what you had expected? Looking back now, I don't know what I was worried about. Yes there will always be ups and downs that come with learning to drive but all-in-all, it was much less complicated than I'd thought it to be. 4- How did you find your instructor's teaching methods? Honestly, I don't know whether it was my instructor Graham and the good relationship we had or whether it's Matt Shurmer instructor's as a whole but everything was made so simple, time was taken and everything was executed perfectly in my opinion, for me that is. 5- Would you recommend us to your friends, and if so, why? I've already recommended Matt Shurmer to many people including my sister, it's not just that my instructor was amazing for me, I'm sure they all are but what made it for is how every lesson I was made to feel comfortable, whether that was driving or just the relationship with my instructor in general, the company really is so welcoming. 6- What could we have done better? Nothing could've been better for me passing with Matt Shurmer at all, the result on test day proved that. I've Matt Shurmer to thank and especially Graham my instructor.

Fantastic experience: I chose this company as it was local to where I lived. My instructor was Graham his teaching methods were really good, he is very professional, gives very detailed explanations of manoeuvres, road safety and provided encouragement to build my confidence in driving every lesson. I would highly recommend Graham he is an excellent instructor, always arrived early for the lessons so we could review what manoeuvres to practice. Thankyou :)

Fantastic experience: I was recommended Matt Shurmer's driving school by a friend as I was new to the area and needed to to refresh my driving skills after failing my test previously. When I first began lessons I found it was a more challenging area to drive around than back in my hometown Nottingham and was very apprehensive about being on such busy roads. Matt was a brilliant teacher and helped me to overcome this apprehension by being very calm at all times and clear with his instructions. I would definitly recommend Matt as an instructor for anyone learning to drive and I can now say I am confident to go out on the roads on my own. Thanks Matt!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t rate Matt Shurmer highly enough, Thanks to him our son passed his driving test first time around , but regardless if he hadn’t passed first time I would give Matt a first class rating ,his professionalism and the way he runs his driving school his a credit to him ,from start to finish he was there with the right amount of encouragement and guidance that allowed us and our son not to stress ourselves over lessons and testing we found him to be very accommodating and accomplished.he comes highly recommended by us .

Fantastic experience: Since Online reviews were good, I chose this. The Instructor is a calm person and understands the student well. He is good in spotting even minor mistakes that makes a big difference, he explains things clearly. I passed my test for manual cars.

Fantastic experience: I used Matt Shurmers driving tuition to pass my test this week. My instructor was Neil who showed a great deal of patience and understanding of my nervousness with driving. I could not possibly recommend Neil and Matt Shurmer any more. Excellent service!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning with Dean at Matt Shurmer driving school. He’s very reliable, easy to contact and puts you at ease. I would recommend to anyone nervous about driving or struggling with confidence as Dean’s calm and encouraging nature gave me the belief in myself to pass my test first time! She was so patient with me when I had to keep asking questions, she made my feel really comfortable and made me driving experience so much fun. When I called to book my lessons I was so surprised that they give you free theory training all in an app! Made life so much easier for me. I would 110% recommend this driving school.
