Fantastic experience: I simply cannot recommend Oumar from the Fabara Driving School enough!! On a very short timeline of 3 weeks till my driving test, Oumar was willing to take me on as his new student. Through his patience and clear instruction, I was able to make significant progress within this short period of time - able to wrap my head around initially confusing manouevres etc. Despite not passing the first test (primarily due to my heightened anxiety/nerves), Oumar was confident that I could pass a retest within the next week - giving me renewed of confidence for the second test (when I may have otherwise given up) Today I passed the second test with 0 faults at all, which goes to show the effectiveness of Oumar's teaching. Although I am incredibly happy to have passed, I will miss our enjoyable lessons together!!

Fantastic experience: Oumar , I had a slow start at the beginning as I was a slow driver and my driving skills were amateur, my turns and awareness but he made sure I got it right eventually and worked on my weakness , helped me pass my test with no faults no minus

Negative experience: This was a terrible experience I don't wish upon anyone. Based on the numerous positive reviews for this instructor, I was led to think I would receive a great service but how wrong could I have been. During the very first lesson I advised him that I would require patience due to my confidence levels and he seemed receptive because during the initial weeks of lessons everything seemed fine. However, about a few months in, a nasty character started to emerge from this instructor. Lateness It began with him turning up late to lessons. At first he would be late every so often and usually notify me via text then eventually he started becoming so comfortable being late that he failed to provide any notice. I would urge him to make the time up, which he agreed to but always begrudgingly. Unprofessionalism/Poor Instruction On more than one occasion I would find the instructor on their phone having a long drawn out conversation when I entered the car to start the lesson or he would answer calls during the lesson. On another occasion the instructor started eating during the lesson and gave me instructions whilst having a mouth full of food. Things became even more severe when he would turn up to lessons in a foul mood, which would completely throw me off and when I queried his mood with him he denied it and told me that his mood should not affect me in carrying out a manoeuvre properly. On a number of lessons he provided improper instructions on how to carry out a manoeuvre and would instead abruptly grab the wheel causing me to feel immense panic. When I explained this was not appropriate he became upset and hostile. He would also rely heavily on the use of his ADI manual to teach and would frequently bring it out to explain manoeuvres. As weeks went by he continued to present a Jekyll and Hyde personality where it felt like I had to to pacify him to avoid his wrath. On two occasions he abruptly ended the lesson when I objected to his hostile behaviour. The final blow came when he turned up late once again and was in a foul mood. At the very start of the lesson, he had instructed me to make a left turn at the end of a one-way street. I was not yet positioned properly and he snapped at me then I explained that he did not need to speak to me that way and that he had been getting away with so much including turning up late. He then proceeded to end the session within minutes of the lesson starting and told me that our time working together had come to an end. To top things off, he refunded me a partial payment for a block booking and messaged to advise that he deducted an hour from the payment, which was a slap in the face given that the lesson had barely begun. I am extremely appalled and disgusted with the treatment I received and would hope that this instructor never treats anyone else like this but given his nature it is probably unlikely. It is a very unfortunate time to learn to drive in this current climate of high demand and low supply of quality driving instructors along with extortionate fees that leaves a student with limited options but where opportunists can thrive. A good instructor is one that will treat a student with respect and create a safe and supportive environment to learn in not one who can only work with students that are already confident behind the wheel to pass quickly and unfortunately this appears to be the case with this instructor.

Oumar doesn’t focus on just getting you the pass you need, but instead becoming a confident driver with great driving ability. Fantastic experience: The best driving instructor in the business ! Oumar is a true professional and an expert in his field. He is not there to just take your money and go, he’s there to teach you how to be a good and safe driver on the road. This is something a lot of instructors have neglected nowadays and focused more on the money incentive. Oumar is not like this , he is a outlier in his field. He puts his all in to make you a better driver. I really appreciate his help and support and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time with only 2 minors. That statement alone shows how excellent an instructor he is. He does not teach you how to just pass the test, instead he teaches you how to be a good driver. This is a critical difference. When you are a good driver then you find it a lot easier to eliminate bad habits and make less mistakes. He never let me quit even when I wanted to, never let me forget that I am learning, and had faith in me when I had very little in myself. My advice for anyone is to go with this guy, you will not be dissapointed and come out of each lesson feeling better and more optimistic about passing and becoming a much better driver. Thank you for a journey which was long, but very rewarding. Oumar, as an instructor, is a step forward in the right direction to becoming a better and more confident driver.

He is professional, thorough, kind and does it all with a good sense of humour. Because of my job, i had been taking lessons on and off. I was also an extremely fearful driver at the beginning (and middle), but Mr Oumar was patient and always went back to the basics to clarify and encourage when I needed the support or push. I was overjoyed when i passed my test and really appreciate his genuineness in sharing my joy. Both my sister and I have been taught to drive by him and coukd not recommend him enough!! Mr Oumar, we shall definitely celebrate and i'm looking forward to the extra lessons on the motorway. I am truly thankful.

Fantastic experience: I was scheduled for a driving test at Hither Green Driving Center. I contacted Oumar, Fabara Driving School the same week of my driving. He was able to make arrangement with me, which reduced my stress, considering the COVID-19 and Lockdown in place to get appointment. I just relocated from United States, having lived in California for 25 years and driving for about 40 years. I knew my driving experience can NEVER be compared to UK driving. Oumar was very professional, arrived at the Center before the schedule time, greeted me with a good attitude and explained to me what needs to be done to pass the test. I made lots of driving errors initially and safety concerns. He watched me patiently and corrected me where need be. He gave a very positive feedback which helped me to PASS the Practical Driving Test once. His car was well kept, clean and safe to drive.
