Fantastic experience: Great day out. Learnt a hell of a lot about my car and how it handles (without traction control). I’m now far more confident and have already booked another day in a month’s time.

Fantastic experience: The most fun I've had in my car, ever. Really pushes you to your limit and beyond. Andrew pushes you to your limit and beyond. To the point you're finding new levels of grip and greater understanding of the dynamics of your car and you're able to exploit that in safe surroundings.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been on 7-8 sessions over the past couple of years. It’s always an amazing time! Great activity if you’re interested in sport cars, driving fast, learning how to be a better driver. Andrew is a very good instructor and teaches a few different techniques throughout the day. After that you keep practicing essentially until the end of day. Great, safe way to enjoy a sports car!

Fantastic experience: I did a "play day" at North Weald with Andy. There was some instruction given, especially after I had gone into his high speed corner in my Porsche after following the instruction, "no need to brake" and immediately spun out in a cloud of smoke. He taught me a couple of things that allowed me to then safely negotiate the corner using 2 fingers on the steering wheel rather than clinging on for grim life! The rest of the day was great fun, laps on the smaller circuit, pursuit games with other drivers (one more spin from me!) and then timed laps on the big circuit. Just being able to push my car and myself, find and go beyond the limits of the car and driver and drive quickly in a safe controlled environment taught me a lot. I may well consider doing a training day with Andy in future to further my learning. And when I had an issue with the micro switch on my clutch pedal, Andy identified the problem and fixed it to minimise downtime. If you have an interest in cars and want to find out what it and you are capable of in a safe controlled environment, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Put simply: this training is incredible, insightful, and immensely rewarding. Andy's approach is direct yet patient, and he knows the nature and exact characteristics of your car. It means you receive tuition which is both about general car control, but also about pushing you incrementally to the limit of what your car can do. I've been twice, and will book a third very soon, but despite years of hammering along country lanes and karting to a decent level, I'm truly nowhere the limit. Studying hours of YouTube rabbit-holes about traction circles, balance, slip angles, etc. - helpful, but none of that compares to having someone alongside you who's been doing this for decades, talking you through how to listen to what the car's trying to communicate. Unreal, and like I say, so rewarding. If you want to learn about car control in a safe environment, there's really no better. I delayed this tuition for 6 months and regret missing that time. It's already changed how I drive, and made me considerably more aware of what I'm asking the car to do and how it's reacting to those inputs. Massively appreciated the training so far, with more to come, and would 100% recommend without a second thought.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and highly recommended. Andrew is a ridiculously good driver and a great teacher, and this combination has enabled him to create a course that gets to the essence of becoming a better driver in a very effective way. I have truly come away a significantly better driver - thank you, Andrew.

Fantastic experience: Have done more than one driver training day with Andrew and learned absolutely loads. The process is methodical and the experience builds throughout the day, with a good dose of fun and humour throughout. Feel like I still have loads to learn re car control and will be back for more. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I can't think of a better way to have fun with your car, while learning car control from a professional like Andrew Walsh. He makes you feel safe and at ease, while he has the capacity to explain and teach you the art of car control in a simple way. It's a very safe environment and the day can be tailored to your needs/capabilities. You leave with a massive grin on your face, having learned more about your car and your abilities.

Fantastic experience: This was a 700 mile round-trip for us to attend, but there’s really nowhere else that offers similar training tailored to your skill level. Brilliant fun, really good value for money, and you’ll learn real world skills that aren’t really possible to explore on a skid pan or track day. Stop reading this review and just book it!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Andy to anybody who is interested in learning and exploring car dynamics at the limit, from performance driving or safety point of view. At North Weald Airport you will get a chance to push yourself and your car to the limit, or more important, you will be able to cross it in a safe environment. The ammount of experience and learnings you take from spinning your car is insane (and you will spin a lot) and all of that can be done in a safe environment where there is nothing to hit. Even trackdays don't get close to Andy's teachings - simply too many things you have to look out for at once and Andy's expertise is simply on another level compared to track days tuition. I have done 3 days with Andy so far and being able to see clear progress feels amazing. At the same time it also shows you how much more there is to learn and explore. I will be back at Nort Weald with my Lotus soon!

Fantastic experience: Andy came highly recommended as a driver coach. From a wide range of trackday drivers and club racers whom I really trust. He’s a lot more than “just” a circuit instructor. In fact both of the all-day sessions he ran for me and good friends of mine were nowhere near a circuit. He uses a section of airfield, with plenty of space and (almost!) nothing to hit except the imaginary wall on the outside of his high speed bend challenge Exceptional skills (he will demo a few if you ask him) and an ideal teaching / coaching style. I’ve used lots of what he taught but I’m getting rusty and am planning another visit. My kids will also soon be old enough to drive and once they have a license it’s one of the first places I’ll take them. Andy’s expertise is just what they need to help tackle the risky situations that arise in the public road, never mind a race track. He also has a wicked sense of humour. And many anecdotes from his time in motorsport and the performance driving arena. A grand day out

Fantastic experience: I was nervous driving my Caterham as I didn’t know when it would slide or how to catch slides. The “Walshy” training day was THE best experience ever! Andy has given me way more confidence driving my Caterham and learning how it handles. I am now so much more confident driving it and more importantly it has made me way faster !!
