Fantastic experience: I've been learning with Nigel and from the very beginning have felt completely at ease. He's been very welcoming and explained things to me in a clear and conscise manner tailoring lessons to my driving level and really helped me drive with more confidence. I'd highly recommend taking lessons with Nigel if you're looking for an instructor! Just adding onto this, I’ve now passed my driving test at the first attempt under Nigel’s excellent tuition and couldn’t rate just drive academy any higher!

Fantastic experience: my experience with Nigel was great, from the day I had my first lesson he showed a high level of knowledge about the car and all necessary laws. this allowed me to past my driving test all while enjoying every lesson. I would recommend Nigel to anyone.

Negative experience: I reached out to this instructor with a polite inquiry about booking revision lessons and using their car for my driving test 1.5 months in advance. Instead of a professional response, I received a defensive and dismissive reply: "Sorry but I don't hire out my car to strangers. Only people I taught to drive can use my car as it's worth £32,000. Would you rent your car out to a stranger???" When I clarified that I was asking for lessons first—so they could assess my driving before the test—I received another condescending response explaining that they get 10 similar inquiries a day and that I should have contacted them three months earlier. While I understand instructors have policies regarding car usage, the way this was communicated was unnecessarily rude. Other instructors I contacted had similar concerns but conveyed them in a polite and professional manner. If handling multiple inquiries is part of their business, a clear upfront policy would prevent these exchanges. Instead, the tone of the response made me feel as though I had asked for something unreasonable when in reality, I was simply looking for lessons and guidance. Professionalism and communication are crucial in this field, and unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. If you're looking for an instructor who values customer service and courtesy, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I have previously taken 10 lessons earlier on in life through another driver instructor but have found that I have learned more from nigel in a shorter space of time. He's patient, and very reassuring whilst your driving. Makes you feel at ease. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a driving instructor

Negative experience: Having had quite a few lessons with this instructor (Nigel) he tried to tell me that I’m bad at driving and needed 50+ hours to pass. I then passed two weeks later with another instructor. WOULD NOT recommend

Negative experience: Don’t go here, he’ll waste your money, chat rubbish, try to manipulate you into thinking you aren’t good enough to squeeze the last pennies out of you. He’s got a nice car tho

Fantastic experience: The methods and manoeuvres Nigel taught me when I started learning to drive with him were very easy to understand and never required more than one lesson to master. The skills I took with me from my lessons go way beyond passing my driving test, continually proving to be useful. Genuinely one of the best driving instructors in the area.

Negative experience: Emailed to enquire and the man was extremely rude to me for no apparent reason In response to the owners comments below, it the response I recived was rude. He should understand more than anyone how hard it is to actually get driving lessons at the minute. As soon as he discovered I wasn't in his area for lessons, he told me I already had bad driving habits (how would he know, very rude assumptions, especially as I am making an attempt to fix it), and told me my decision to do an intensive course in the future was wrong, which should be indifferent to him as he isn't the person, who is paying for it or doing it. As a potential customer the owner should think more carefully about the comments he makes, and the way he emails. After this communication with him, frankly I would never want driving lessons with him anyways!
