Lendrums Driving School Winchester

Fantastic experience: When I started my lessons I had never sat behind the wheel of a car before so was rather nervous. Charlotte built up my confidence, explained everything thoroughly and in an easy way to understand, she has the patience of a Saint plus a good sense of humour which made my lessons fun amd enjoyable. Today I passed my test so honestly I can't rate her high enough. I'm actually going to miss my Friday morning lessons. Thankyou Charlotte and Lendrums.

Fantastic experience: Had Julie for my lessons she was so lovely, always willing to work around my busy work and college schedule to fit lessons in. Also helped find test cancellations and was looking every day to get earliest possible test. Made learning to drive so much easier! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Charlotte proved to be as excellent teacher for me. Having moved over from the states (where I drove for over 20 years), she had the unique task of undoing all of my bad habits in addition to teaching about driving here. She made sure I knew exactly what to expect on test day and I attribute my success to her teaching.

Fantastic experience: Julie took over from Gary at Lendrums when I moved to Winchester, and with her excellent knowledge and help I’ve passed my test today, first time with only 2 driver faults. Both Gary and Julie are fantastic teachers, and having have two from the same school it is apparent that Lendrums has the best of the best - the cream of the crop of all instructors in this area. I can’t recommend Julie highly enough, really she is fantastic, if you’re going with Lendrums, and you get Julie, you’ll be driving confidently and perfectly in no time!!

Fantastic experience: I learnt to drive with Julie who as absolutely brilliant and very patient. I passed my test first time as a late learner and I felt like I wasn’t just taught to pass my test but to be a responsible and safe driver beyond passing as well - very highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I had lessons with Julie and she was great. Before I drove with her I'd failed three tests and had some anxiety around driving, but today after a few months of lessons I've passed my test with only one minor! The prices for the lessons was fair for the quality of teaching I had, I wouldn't have any problems recommending this driving school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had Julie for my driving lessons. I’d really recommend her if you’re around Winchester and looking for a friendly , knowledgeable and dedicated driving instructor. She was really patient with me and I came away from each lesson feeling like I had achieved something. She was always really understanding and would listen to any fears I had of being on the road, aswell as challenging me to achieve the maximum I could. Thank you again Julie!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Charlotte who helped me pass my test first time in Winchester. She was so patient with me and happy to repeat problem areas countless times until I felt more confident. She always answered my random questions and made up scenarios with a smile and an answer I could easily understand. Charlotte was always flexible with our lessons to fit around my shifts and childcare. Charlotte really went above and beyond to help me pass and I am so grateful!

Fantastic experience: Had my lessons with Paul - and couldn’t recommend him enough! Paul was always very kind, clear and didactic. He had all the patience in the world to help breaking old habits (I’ve been a driver abroad for more than 15 years) and creating new ones that will not only helo passing the test but also driving safely. Fantastic experience: I had Martin as my driving instructor and I passed first time. He is very calm and explains things clearly. He is very experienced and I would recommend him to all my friends.

Negative experience: I had 10 hours of lessons with Martin as my instructor. He taught me the basics of driving but I couldn’t stand to have anymore lessons with him. He pushed booking another block very often. He would show up 30 mins early, and was sometimes late by 10-20 mins and wouldn’t apologise for being late. Often i tried to make conversation with him but he didn’t really reciprocate so it often felt awkward with him, so we only ever spoke about driving. He was very condescending. If I stalled, which I didn’t do a lot for a brand new learner driver, he would get very irritated. One time I stalled he went off at me. In our last couple of lessons he was incredibly patronising. Martin was also made aware that I’m dyspraxic, which means I have a coordination disability, and he didn’t really seem to acknowledge this especially when I would get confused or take longer to process instructions. He also always said my name wrong. The first time I drove home after a lesson, I became confused by his directions. He was in the middle of a phone call, I stopped because I didn’t know where I was going and he snatched the wheel and steered for me, not saying anything but coming across as angry. I think this was the last lesson I had with him. I’m sure the other instructors are very nice and good at teaching - but I really would not recommend having Martin at all. Not worth the money, generally rude and not understanding. Was really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful driving school who offered great lessons and got me the pass in the end. Would recommend martin, a great instructor who offered helpful lessons and advice and didn't push unnecessary tips or ideas.

Fantastic experience: Hi am glad to tell that I had passed my driving practical test in first chance. My instructor was Ken Henderson whom I would like to recommend. He made me more comfortable with driving. I was new to UK and came from an entirely different driving country. He made me able in just 10 lessons. Other than other driving schools he didn’t try to push more classes. Even though we had planned a certain area of driving one day but if I grasp that earlier in the lesson timing , he had gone to next level than just trying to lag and push another lesson. As am a key worker he hadn’t made me waiting due to covid reasons. He was really helpful and was flexible for timings. I would like to recommend lendrums and Ken as the best one. Glad to pass with 3 minors in first attempt Woohaaahhhh....

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Phil George. I would highly recommend him. He was very calm throughout all of our tests and very easy to talk to. Learning to drive with Phil leaves me feeling confident that I can safely drive by myself now that I have passed my test.

Fantastic experience: OK where to to begin So I contacted lendrums about about a year ago. My instructor was Phil a bit quirky and witty with his one liners with his dad jokes. If we saw a hurst whilst driving he would always say, I wouldn't be seen dead in that Like I said I've been with them for nearly a year. Back in December, I was involved in a serious motorbike incident. Phil helped me get over my fear in in a big way, he was very calm and extremely patient with me and totally understanding of the circumstances I was in. I passed on my third time with 5 minors and no majors. Thanks mate, I'm going to miss you're dad jokes. However, my sister wants lessons now lol
