Fantastic experience: Nigel is the driving instructor who will make you feel that lessons are fun. He is very welcoming and supportive. He will help you identify areas that you need to improve at, and help you be better in those areas. Nigel will help you be a safe driver. My driving lessons started to feel like dreaded occasions (because I was so nervous in my first few lessons) to one of the things that I look forward to in the week as I became more confident and comfortable. Nigel helped me believe in myself that I can be a good and safe driver, and has repeatedly told me so. Comments like this may seem unimportant to other people, but for a person who tends to doubt her own ability, these comments made me strive harder to do better. I couldn't imagine having a different instructor, because Nigel was not just an instructor but also a friend. Thank you, Nige! I will be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Nige can explain in a way that is very easy for everyone to understand even for a learner like me that English is not my first language. I am an overthinker. If you said 1+1=2, my question would be why it is necessary to do 1+1 but not 2+2 etc. My mind is always preoccupied with something, which delays my decision-making process, thus causing fault. In the middle of lessons, I struggled with everything, for example, I did not know where I should steer when I reverse back, and I was confused with the Sat Nav. He went through every step with me to clarify my misconception. He said driving is difficult enough, so it is best to keep everything simple. He taught me easy steps to follow and emphasised the importance of doing one step at a time. He is warm and caring. I went through a life event that I needed to change the date of my practical exam. He asked what my next step was and gave support to me. Finally, I passed my exam on my first attempt. That is something I have never dreamed of before. Now, I do not need to take a 2-hour train to Shrewsbury or a 3-hour bus for lessons! However, I have never looked back because I learned so much from him. Also, I think he is an interesting person to know. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: I am a textbook learner and so I've always struggled with learning to drive. Two instructors later and with just over 6 months until my theory test expired, I put all of my confidence into Nige, it is safe to say that it was not misplaced. Switching to automatic was the best decision I made, Nige tailored his way of teaching to my way of learning, even though that meant him listening to me ramble on whilst I wrote notes at the end of each lesson. He was patient, knowledgeable and incredibly flexible. I passed my driving test first time with only four driving faults. I have to credit this success to Nige because I couldn't have done it without him. I still find it absolutely surreal to be able to say that I can legally drive, he gave me the confidence when I needed it and ultimately got me over the finish line. If you're looking for a new driving instructor, believe me when I say - Nige is the one!

Fantastic experience: I could never thank Nige enough for being very patient and encouraging. He is a professional through and through, always very willing to answer even my dumbest questions and nothing is ever difficult for him. He is so calm (I don't even know where he gets his patience from) and the atmosphere inside the car during lessons is always light and positive. I have enjoyed every bit of my lesson and not once felt pressured. We always have a good laugh and he's just a delight to work with. When I started driving, I was soooo nervous but his manner always makes me feel at ease and I gained the confidence I need to pass. He made sure I am in the best position to pass ☺️ I'll absolutely miss our driving lessons but I am sure you'll help somebody else. ☺️ IF YOU WANT TO PASS YOUR TEST, DEFINITELY GET NIGE!!! Fantastic experience: I started lessons with Nige just over 6 months ago and passed my test with only 4 minors on a difficult country route! Although glad to have passed I will miss Nige’s humour, jokes and constant support. Honestly the best instructor I could have ever wished for, I didn’t think I would like driving as I thought it would be scary and stressful, however Nige always made me feel safe, happy and confident in my abilities all whilst cracking a joke! Thank you for everything Nige! I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and just generally lovely person to be my instructor!

Fantastic experience: Well where to start? I came to Nige 6 months ago after having lessons from a previous instructor for 12 months but had simply not progressed. I was a very nervous driver and had little faith in myself. I could not wear shoes whilst driving and suffer from extreme anxiety amongst other issues. Nige was super supportive. Very calm and understanding to my issues. If I did not understand something he would go out of his way to help me until I did understand . Even going as far as measuring with a tape measure 10 car lengths from inside the car I was driving. 3 days before test I was so nervous and felt like giving up. Nige took the time to make sure I had extra payed lessons which allowed me to go over everything I was nervous about. I first started to learn to drive at the age of 17 always giving up along the way. 17 years later aged 44 and after only 6 months of lessons with Nige, I have passed my test first time with only 3 driving faults!!! In an area I was not used to driving in. If I could give Nige 10 stars I would. I highly recommend him to anyone needing driving lessons. Young or old. He’s a great teacher and I can’t thank him enough.

Fantastic experience: Nige has been a brilliant driving instructor! Calm, patient and with clear instructions the whole way through. Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Nige for teaching me driving lessons that helped me to pass the exam in first attempt. There are specific rules and signs that we have to understand and follow while driving to remain safe on the road and of course to pass the test. One can not pass the test without gaining all that knowledge of driving and practicing driving again and again under supervision of a good instructor. I have never driven car before until after I passed my theory exam. I took few lessons with other instructors before I met with Nige and I must say none of them would teach from basics step by step or stay patient while I made many mistakes on driving. With Nige, On each lesson I was learning something new that proved to be very important during my test for example straightening the car out while still reversing it back, slowing down easily to reach certain speed limit without putting too much or too harsh break, importance of checking mirrors etc. After taking the first trial lesson with Nige, I understood that he is the only one and best instructor to teach me the driving in same manner as examiner would expect from me on the test. After meeting with Nige, I stopped my search to find a instructor nevertheless I cancelled my lessons with other instructors. Nige is the best instructor. Don’t go anywhere ... only ask for Nige and you will guaranteed pass the exam. I would highly recommend to take lessons only from Nige to learn a safe driving and pass exam in single attempt.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been having driving lessons for over a year now with nige and I can honestly say he is the best instructor to have. He has taught me so much in so little time and i have noticed how much my confidence on the road has grown. I can’t thank nige enough, he has always made time for our lessons and even when I have struggled in little things during lessons he has helped me calm my nerves and carry on having confidence when driving! Fantastic experience: Nige is hands down the best driving instructor EVER! I’ve tried to learn to drive on and off since I was 17 (so 7 years) learning with 3 different instructors prior to Nige who all made me feel uncomfortable and gave me 0 confidence. When I had my first lesson with Nige I was a bundle of nerves because of my prior experiences but he made me feel relaxed and gave me the confidence to continue to learn and for the first time In my life I actually started to enjoy driving! He’s also just a lovely guy and great company - will recommend to absolutely everyone I meet that are looking to start driving lessons. Really wish I could give more than five stars because he deserves it! If you’re reading this and considering contacting him to book in for your lessons do it because you won’t regret it :D

Fantastic experience: Like everyone else who's had Nige as a driving instructor will say, I couldn't have hoped for anyone better to teach me! I joined from a previous instructor, and my ability and confidence improved a crazy amount even in the first few weeks of being taught by him. Having been quite a nervous driver previously, I now feel very relaxed driving, and passed my test yesterday! I really can't recommend Nige enough, whether you've never driven before or just need some extra help before your test, he'll help you get the result you want. Thanks Nige!!!

Fantastic experience: Great instructor, worked around days I was busy on, including lessons on weekends. Previously, I was only having 1 hour lessons every couple of weeks, but with Nige, I was having 2 hour lessons regularly which made me more prepared for my test.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t ask for a better instructor. I passed first time with only 2 faults thanks to Nige. He went out of his way to teach me, works at a pace that I’m comfortable with and genuinely thought me how to drive properly.

On the first lesson we had together assessed where I was at with my driving so that he could make any further improvements and has never failed in being supportive, professional and friendly ever since! Fantastic experience: Only given a 5 star simply because I cannot give nige 6 stars or more. In my opinion he is probably the best driving instructor you can possibly have. He teaches you the right way to drive and gives you time to adapt. Nige help you through thick and thin. If you're struggling on something he will help you and in no time you will be a great driver. You can't get a instructor better than nige. Honestly if you are reading this don't think twice about choosing Nige as your instructor as you will benefit greatly from it.

He's really calm and patient. He explains things well and is willing to go over any weaker areas multiple times until you feel completely confident. Fantastic experience: Having been learning to drive on and off for a few years, I have tried a number of different driving instructors and companies. None however, have come close to the standard of instruction that Nige from BSM has provided me. Every lesson has given me new skill sets and reinforced my understanding, as well as allowed me to proactively tailor lesson content to what I want to achieve. Lastly and perhaps more importantly, after failing driving tests previously and having negative experiences throughout the years, Nige bought back the enjoyment of driving for me and boosted my self confidence.
