Fantastic experience: I recommend Paul Conibear he was so patient with me throughout my whole time learning with him.. I was not confident behind the wheel atall but Paul made me feel at ease each and every time I got in the car. I booked lessons with him in August then passed my test first time in October If that ain’t a good instructor then I don’t know what is!! Get at him

Fantastic experience: Paul has got a wealth of experience and knowledge in the industry and is undoubtedly an excellent driving instructor with a personal touch. He is very quick in identifying the student's weak areas during his classes and is very generous with the time he gives for each class. Great value for money. He takes feedback from the student after every class and then comes back with a plan for next class along with recommendations for improvement. One must follow every bit of his instructions strictly and will see the importance of it not just during the actual driving test but ever after to drive safely and responsibly. I can't thank Paul enough for his sincere efforts to help me pass the driving test but also to make my driving classes enjoyable and a pleasant learning experience.

Fantastic experience: Paul was calm, informative and able to recap on entire sections with regards to the drive as to how I was operating. This allowed me to be able to pass with minimal minors. Fantastic experience: I’d like to say a big thank you to Paul. Not only have I passed in less than 20 hours, but I feel like I understand driving better and I’m much more aware and know how to handle things now. I used to have a lot of meltdowns when driving which Paul managed to cope with but with his help I’m now holding it together much more.  Being asked to think things through myself has helped a lot.  I also found the manoeuvres a lot easier with Paul’s methods which are a lot simpler than what I’d been taught before and work in my own car as well as his. The service was great. Paul never missed a lesson, was very flexible, and great value for money. The lessons which are supposed to be one hour usually ran over and were often closer to two hours with no extra charge.

Fantastic experience: Before I got an instructor I was very apprehensive and expected the worse because of the horrible experiences others have had with instructors. Paul was the total opposite of anything I had heard, he is honestly the best instructor anyone could ask for. He's patient and shows genuine interest in teaching you to be a safe driver. He doesn't just talk at you, he explains very clearly in a way you'll understand. He corrects your mistakes in a way you'll feel encouraged not discouraged. Whether your driving confidence has been crushed coz of bad experiences with instructors or you've never had an instructor before I'd highly recommend Paul. After 20 hours of lessons with Paul, I passed my test with only 2 minors. Thank you once again, Paul.

Fantastic experience: I came to Miles Ahead after becoming disillusioned with another local driving school. Paul quickly assessed where my weaknesses were and quietly put together a tailored training schedule to get to grips with the problem areas, rather than sticking to the pre-set series of standard lessons as per my previous instructor. Every minute was meticulously planned as was the course as a whole. By asking the right questions he got me to troubleshoot the problem areas myself and this really helped me to understand what was needed. Paul was quick to step in where unsafe situations were developing but that aside I felt like he gave me freedom to explore and some peace and quiet in the car so that I could actually hear myself think. My previous instructor talked so much that all I could hear was his voice echoing around in my head - even when he wasn’t talking - and it wasn’t a good noise. Paul created a relaxed atmosphere and a really great learning environment in-car. The initial assessment was very useful and gave an estimate of how many hours I’d need which turned out to be bang on the nail. Although the hourly rate is on the more expensive side Paul was generous with his time and usually went on well over the hour so all in all it worked out cheaper. I felt very well prepared for test and aced it this morning with two minors (and one of those was a show me tell me). 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Paul as a driving instructor. Paul was always calm, patient and clear when instructing. His knowledge of the industry and high level of skill was apparent from the start. Working with Paul you very much feel as if you are part of a team and share the objective together. You do not feel rushed, yet he develops your confidence, skill level and is fantastic at communicating his professional opinions, encouragement and support. Although learning to drive can push you out of your comfort zone I very much looked forward to my lessons with Paul and enjoyed the experience.
