Fantastic experience: Today, I passed my driving test 2nd time with DLA. Dean was my instructor and throughout the experience, he was very calm, patient, and professional. I went in feeling super nervous about my driving ability after almost 5 years out of driving, but by the end of the short lesson I felt so much more confident and comfortable on the road and motorway! Their "iPad friendly" teaching method is really helpful and completely suited my learning style, helping me understand and address my bad habits quickly. Fantastic experience: I had Lou as my driving instructor and she was AMAZING!! She was so patient and calm with me, I really feel like a driver since passing with her. She made me feel so confident as a driver! Not only is she a naturally brilliant teacher she also uses multimedia techniques to help visual learners and has great abbreviations and catch phrases to help you remember how to drive! My fav was 'punch it chewy!' I had a really negative experience with the first instructor I had and seriously considered not putting myself through the risk again but im so glad I did. Fantastic experience: I chose DLA because of the shining reviews they had online and they did not disappoint! I had lessons years ago with a different company that had knocked my confidence and generally made driving not enjoyable for me. Not only did DLA have to teach me from fresh, but they also had to unpick all of the bad habits that I had learned previously. Their structured lessons were taught to a high standard with brilliant patience and memorable techniques. I passed my test first time with only two minors and now feel confident to drive safely anywhere. The lessons were fun and made me enjoy driving again. I’m so happy with the result, but very sad that this is probably the only time I will get to drive a Mercedes. I can’t praise them enough for the hard work they put in. Would recommend to anyone! Grant was a really helpful instructor, and takes the time to explain things before heading out on the road to practice it. And if there was an area I was struggling with (roundabouts) we spent a whole lesson building my confidence in using them...and it must have worked as I passed first time! Fantastic experience: I left an inquiry on their website and it wasn't long before someone got back to me. They asked what experience I already had, and whether I had any preferences for a male/female instructor, which I did due to past driving teachers. I was quickly put in touch with a lady called Louise who is just the most patient, sweet, caring and bloody brilliant lady you could wish to meet. Right from the start I felt at ease and in control. I passed my theory and driving test first time. Always really accommodating with time and pick up location which is a massive help. Honest about how many hours you might need to learn and are certainly not looking to take money from you for lessons they don't think you need which is not my experience of other driving companies. Can't recommend Louise/DLA highly enough. Thank you DLA!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test this week with only 4 minors, and that was solely down to the brilliant teaching by Stuart, who is part of DLA. He teaches how to not just pass your test, but how to drive in the real world, with loads of useful tips along the way. He's a super humble guy who is honest with you during lessons, so there was never a lesson where I walked away having not learnt something, and that's how I passed first time. A huge thanks Stu! I'd definitely recommend DLA for learner drivers as I know Stu isn't the only great instructor under the banner - Dean, who is the founder of DLA, taught my brother years ago, and he only ever said good things, so quality teaching has been there since day one. Fantastic experience: I've been driving quite confidently in Canada for the last 12 years (in an automatic, on the opposite side of the road!) So learning to drive in the UK in a manual transmission vehicle was a big challenge that I was excited/anxious to overcome. DLA was great value for money, really convenient letting me book lessons around my 9-5 job. My instructor was patient and calm and I felt like I learned at exactly the right pace for me. My instructor was really consultative - asking me what I wanted to work on each lesson, but also taking the lead when he knew there were areas I should be working on. And even when nerves got the best of me, I came back stronger learning how to tackle my weaknesses, re-built my confidence and passed my practical driving test first time! (after 28 hours of lessons and almost no private practice) I LOVE driving a manual car now and I'm excited about having my independence on the road again :)

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience learning with DLA. It was really easy to get my first lesson booked online and following this has a prompt response and was booked in soon after this. My instructor was great and made me feel at ease immediately. I found the interactive learning through I-Pad really good and it made things more visual than books and the highway code. I was able to do a few lessons a week so felt I progressed fairly quickly and after finally getting around to my theory test I then booked and passed my practical test and am now enjoying life on the open road. A great school using innovative techniques to support learning. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: I made an online enquiry with DLA on 7 March 2017 and notwithstanding that I received an automated email saying someone would contact me as soon as possible, I have not heard from DLA since (it is now 20 March 2017). This is not a commentary on their driving training but the administration of their website as a contact method needs some work.

Having recently passed my test albeit not the first time having learnt to drive with another school and failed twice. I went with D.L.A. and couldn't have been more pleased. Fantastic experience: I'd highly recommend DLA. I started driving lessons with another school in Cardiff and failed my test twice. I joined DLA for some lessons before my 3rd attempt and my instructor was very helpful. He identified and corrected the problems in my driving, helped me be a more confident driver, and got me to pass the new test first time. I really enjoyed the professionalism mixed with the relaxed atmosphere.
