Negative experience: If I could give Steve 0 stars I would. My daughter has had numerous lessons with Steve with very little progression. she has mainly driven around Cherrysutton were he has continuously grabbed the wheel ( even when no danger ahead),has driven her around more than she has driven herself and shouted at her. She has now had a few lessons with a new instructor and has come on leaps and bounds so I know the problem doesn't lie with her. Every driving instructor I have spoken to know all about Steve and how her treats his students. My partner spoke to him but he said he was busy when her tried to discuss any issues. Total waste of money a partial refund would be nice Steve Thanks for your reply Steve. You’re right, I wasn’t in the car and can only go on what my daughter told me. However, I have spoken to 2 people who stopped lessons with you for doing exactly the same thing, including driving yourself and staying predominately around Cherrysutton.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant.I have been with previous instructors before and none could teach me as good as Steve he has been very patient with me and always kept calm even if I have not. I cannot thank him enough , truly a great instructor.

Negative experience: Had lessons with him to which he would shout at me frequently and was constantly grabbing the wheel. Felt I never truely learnt anything as he was constantly in control of the wheel and didn’t give me the chance to improve on my mistakes. Wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Steve. I’ve just passed my test after being taught to drive by Steve- he’s incredibly patient, friendly and his teaching is incredibly helpful. I was a very nervous driver to begin with but with help from Steve, I was able to become very confident behind the wheel and passed with only 3 minors. Anybody looking to learn how to drive- absolutely choose Steve :)

Fantastic experience: Very good instructor, I have just recently passed with 1 minor he was very thorough when going through different areas of driving and was always explaining in detail the different areas and aspects of driving, was also very good when coming upto my test as he settles my nerves and kept me calm as I going in for my test would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Passed today with 0 minors thanks to Steve. Came to him from a previous instructor with much improvement needed in my driving. Steve got me on the right track with great instruction and helped me feel calm in the car. Great punctuality and never cancelled a lesson- also worked on days he usually doesn’t to get my test sorted. Highly recommend, thanks Steve!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Steve Draper enough, incredibly patient and a great instructor.

Negative experience: Shocking, not even worthy of one star. Avoid.

Negative experience: Not worth the £60 (2hrs) in my opinion. Knew I wasn’t comfortable with driving on roads, as it’s my first lesson, but the first place we started was a “quiet” estate. Finished the lesson early, could see I was uncomfortable yet continued to giggle to himself about how I’d “given up at the first hurdle.”

Negative experience: One star is still too many. How can somebody learn when you have control all of the time even grabbing the steering wheel. Made a new learner uncomfortable to the point he doesn't want to get in a car again. Shocking, I would absolutely not recommend. I will be making a complaint to the DVSA.

Negative experience: The worst driving instructor about, spent half the time watching him drive total waste of money

Fantastic experience: Always on time, never cancels a lesson, books you in weeks in advance - the sort of punctuality and standard of instruction any new learner should look for in their driving instructor. Steve is a friendly guy with expertise that is second to none, would certainly recommend his school of motoring.

Fantastic experience: Ste is very proud and professional with his technique of driving, my experience with him as a instructor has been knowledgeable and effective from the first lesson right up until the end when I passed my practical exam, through all the setbacks with covid19 lockdowns and the restrictions he has followed the guidelines & I felt relaxed and confident even with the gaps between learning to drop back in an successfully pass my practical, Ste even went above and beyond for me to work on his none working day prior to my test because of the lockdowns which was a true example of his character, if you want a hard working an precise instructor Ste will teach you how to drive for life

Fantastic experience: My son has passed today with Steve and we can’t thank him enough he passed first time and it’s because of Steve with his friendly personality my son felt really relaxed. The lessons were fantastic with regards to content and my son said he couldn’t have asked for a better instructor! Would totally recommend anyone starting to learn to drive to choose Steve!!! Fantastic experience: Had roughly 15 lessons or so and passed first time. This was in 1994 mind. Still though have never had a crash. So full marks to Steve.

Negative experience: Had a few years back and made very little progress. Always wanted money for lessons upfront and would mither you for the next instalment of lessons before you had finished. Additionally Steve would spend vast majority of the lesson driving instead of you. Made significant progress after switching

Fantastic experience: Steve is a great instructor, with Steve's lessons I passed my test with a clean sheet, no minor faults, and now feel really confident behind the wheel after his guidance. I would highly recomend you take your lessons with Steve.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING driving instructor with a tremendous knowledge of the local roads. He was always on time and takes pride in his car with it always being very clean. Ste teaches you to drive for life. I passed 1st time with only 1 minor. Couldn't be more happier.

Negative experience: The worst driving instructor about, I wouldn’t recommend, you’re meant to be learning to drive and he drives more than you I gave up With him easy of money, how can you learn to drive when you’re not driving the car? You can’t learn to drive by watching someone drive
