Fantastic experience: 100% I would reccommend John Harvey Driving school, they have phenominal driving instructors, Chris Jones helped me very quickly re-hone my driving skills having hardly driven in about 18 months. He is very thorough, has many different teaching techniques and was really good at understanding what I needed as a learner from him. He will help you feel comfortable behind the wheel, and understand clearly what you need to focus on in order to improve. Chris is also very personable and easy to get along with, combined with his patient and professional approach it made learning to drive WAY less stressful. He helped me pass my test after just a few lessons and his teaching absolutely made the difference between a pass and a fail.

If you find that you’re a nervous person (as I am), Chris will be the perfect instructor for you with his calm approach to teaching. I felt at ease at all times whilst behind the wheel, without being ridiculed for making minor mistakes as I have in previous years. I never thought I’d be able pass my driving test with a hectic work schedule, but Chris was more than helpful with accommodating his schedule to myself and his other learners. He is an instructor you are always able to text and any ask any necessary questions you are concerned about. He really does go above and beyond for his students and I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: Chris took me on after I had failed a driving test two years prior and hadn't had any lessons since. From my first lesson with Chris, we had around two and a half months to get me to test standard again which he achieved, as I passed my test yesterday with only three minors. Chris is a professional and knowledgeable driving instructor who takes the time to explain things in a clear and detailed way. Chris was also very adept at identifying my weaknesses as a driver and helping me to strengthen my skills in those areas. We were under a lot of pressure due to the proximity of my test date but Chris was always flexible and willing to do as many lessons as it took to get me to the test standard. Thank you again Chris and to the John Harvey Driving School for all your help and hard work getting me to a test pass.

Fantastic experience: The most amazing company to learn how to drive with!! On my first lesson I didn't think I would be driving the car as I was so nervous and scared. Chris who was my driving instructor calmed me down and helped me do it and talked me through everything. As the pandemic progressed I obviously wasn't able to have any lessons so I was really worried as my test was booked for straight after the lockdown, Chris reassured me that it will all be fine and I could have as many lessons as I needed and even to have a whole day driving. He was really easy to talk to or ask any questions that I needed answering. As time went on I was starting to approach my test date and I was really nervous. He helped me through all of the nerves and told me that he wouldn't be allowing me to do the test if I wasn't test ready. So that made me feel much better. My test date approached and I had a 2 hour lesson before and then went and completed my test with a FIRST TIME PASS!! I can't thank Chris enough for the support and advise he gave me. I definitely recommend this company to everyone!!!

Fantastic experience: After having 2 tests cancelled due to covid, I’m happy to say I just passed first time. Fantastic experience: Had 6 hours worth of lessons in 2 hour chunks very informative, very good structure to the lessons, honestly had no chance of passing before, the school I was with before were using teaching methods that are very outdated, very glad to say I passed with 2 faults and I’m over the moon!

Fantastic experience: Since I started learning with John Harvey there has been a massive improvement in my driving skills and knowledge. A special thank you to chris, my instructor, who was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable and relaxed in all situations. He was never late, always available to talk to and flexible where he can be with changing time slots. My confidence behind the wheel was built up due to his belief and confidence in me as a driver and his teaching method is one I really would recommend. In my old driving school, I was learning to just pass a test but after joining John Harvey and working with chris, I haven't just passed my test, but I learnt to be a confident safe driver. You'd be crazy to not learn with John Harvey.
