Fantastic experience: I came to Kev to polish up before my test after starting to learn elsewhere. I had 6 lessons over the course of a week and the difference in my skill between the first and the last was huge! His calm and "can do" demeanour is perfect for any learner and he quickly locks on to parts of your driving that need to improve. I was unaccustomed to driving Barry roads (they are so different to where I started learning) but we quickly practiced example after example until I was happy to negotiate any of the streets whether tight, steep or winding. Having used a few instructors due to stopping and starting my learning I can say Kev is a cut above the rest. I passed first time! I'm still struggling to believe it!

His lessons were not only super helpful and instructive, as expected, but also really enjoyable. Kev has this great "learn from your mistakes" attitude and he never shouts. Fantastic experience: Kev was a great instructor who has recently helped me pass my test. He put me at ease right from the start and whilst always being very professional he was easy to chat with and have a bit of a laugh. He was never late or missed lessons and always went out of his way to fit in my lessons around my working hours and 2 small children. I was very nervous around the test and unfortunately didn't pass first time. Kev made sure I didn't give up and encouraged me to keep going and book another test. It's quite hard to get booked in for tests at the moment but again, Kev went out of his way to keep an eye out for slots to help bring my final test forwards. I was ready when it came to my driving but he made sure we went over anything I was unsure of and spoke everything through to help alleviate my nerves. I passed with only a few minors. Kev really cares about his students and makes an effort to get to know you and teaches in a way that's helpful to you. He really helped me get that pass! Thanks Kev!

Fantastic experience: Kevin is a fantastic instructor, and I was able to pass on my practical test following his guidance and instruction. Lessons always began on time, and Kevin was always friendly and clear in pointing out errors, areas for improvement, aswell as areas that I had improved on. Fantastic experience: Yesterday I passed my driving test in Barry with Kevin, he was the best instructor I could have asked for, always pushing me in tasks I didn’t think I could do to ensure I kept improving on my driving, always having the opportunity to go back on things that your concerned about and he tailored the lesson to how I wanted it to go and what I needed to keep improving. Although learning to drive can be very scary Kev made it so much better, he always stayed calm on our lessons and made me feel better when I made mistakes because we didn’t dwell on it so I could keep learning! As well as being a great instructor Kev is a great person, always making jokes and having a laugh on lessons and really taking an interest in your well being as well. I don’t think any other instructor could have compared and I can’t recommend him enough! Thank you so much Kev, going to miss our lessons!

Fantastic experience: So I passed my driving test first time today and couldn’t of done it without Kev. After being with a previous instructor not really enjoying my lessons and then not doing lessons for a while I was nervous about driving a car again but kev instantly put me at ease. If I ever made a mistake he’d tell me where I went wrong and would make light of the situation which really helped. It was such a relaxing experience from before and Kev’s always cracking jokes so it feels like your just driving with a friend, plus he had to put up with me chatting his ear of so hats off to him for that as well. Fantastic experience: Kevin made the process of learning to drive to easy and comfortable. I was able to improve my skills as a driver consistently without feeling that the information was being taught to quickly. He allows you to go at your own pace throughout lessons. I truly couldn’t recommend a better driving instructor. You feel supported and at ease through the whole process. Anything you don’t feel confident on he will go over with you until you’re able to do it to a passing standard. I never thought I would be able to pass 1st time but Kevin made that possible for me.

Fantastic experience: After an eventful year, having my driving test postponed endless times, I have finally passed my driving test first time with Kevin. The encouragement, patience and support from Kevin was definitely the stepping stone for me passing my test with ease after feeling like it would be impossible. Not only did he teach me in a calming and professional way, he never failed to make me laugh in lessons. I was excited for every lesson I had with Kevin and would learn something new each time.

Fantastic experience: There’s no driving instructor I could recommend more than Kevin. I would never have passed (1st time as well with only 3 minors!) if it wasn’t for him. When I first started learning I didn’t know anything about driving, I was so so nervous to the point where I didn’t even want to learn, and didn’t enjoy it at all. It seemed impossible that I could ever become a good driver, and thanks to Kevin I did! He’s so calm, extremely professional and always could have a laugh with on our lessons. I always felt at ease when driving with him and that there was no such thing as a stupid question. I would never have thought I could pass first time or be the driver I am today, I owe it all to Kevin :) Your driving instructor is someone you will see once a week, for many months and it has to be someone you get along with, Kevin is friendly and truly cares are his students, beyond teaching them how to drive. Fantastic experience: Passed today on my first attempt, have to say Kevin has been an amazing instructor. I didn’t start learning with him initially but noticed a drastic difference in his teaching style and methods, he’s so easy to get on with & made me feel very calm & much more confident behind the wheel. Without a doubt I’d 100% recommend Kevin to anyone who is learning to drive. He makes learning to drive a lot less scary & daunting as he makes lessons enjoyable & relaxed with his great sense of humour. Fantastic experience: Kevin works so so hard to get the best out of you. He puts all your nerves and worries to rest by being so calm and understanding always. Thought the learning process many mistakes have been made by me but Kevin always knew the right way to correct them. Fantastic experience: Can’t even express how much I would recommend Kevin and his driving school, Pass with KLJ! On my first lesson, I straight away felt comfortable with Kevin and loved his sense of humour. His relaxed approach to the lessons was great, whilst I was still gaining the best experience on the road and valuable skills and tips needed for the test. As each lesson went on, I more and more looked forward to having the lessons and having a laugh with Kev, whilst also getting more and more confident on the road in preparation for my test! I was able to pass my theory test first time, and Kevin was more than happy to help me find and book me a practical test especially during COVID times when tests are pretty hard to get. Kevin was able to secure me a test for a few months down the line which was as good as we were going to get due to the backlog. However I was then able to get a cancellation and bring my test forward by quite a few months! The day of my new test date came around after just over 2 months since my first lesson. I was really lucky to get this new, cancellation test during COVID times and the many people looking for closer tests. However, this shows how good Kevin’s ability is to teach all the main parts of driving and more in such a short space of time so that I was ready for my test, whilst still teaching to a very high, test ready standard! I was able to go and pass my test first time with 0 faults, this further shows Kevin’s great teaching ability, and added to his very high first time pass rate! I would very much highly recommend Kevin and can’t thank him enough for what he has helped me achieve.

Fantastic experience: I was taking lessons before I started with Kev and I was ready to give up on the driving experience as my confidence and nerves was getting the better of me and my previous instructor did not help. I started having lessons with Kev and I was shocked with how quickly I was regaining my confidence with him and my first lesson with Kev I was nervous but Kev settled my nerves, that’s when I was thinking to myself I can do this. I HIGHLY recommend Kev as I was on verge of giving up on the driving experience but Kev kept telling me I can do it and I did, I wouldn’t have been able to pass without Kev as my instructor.

Fantastic experience: Before I started lessons with Kev, I had taken a 3/4 year gap from driving because of a previous instructor tearing my confidence to shreds. With a few short lessons before the last lockdown in December I felt a lot more comfortable and confident in the car! Roll on 4 months of lockdown and I had around a month of lessons varying from 3 hours to 2 hours twice a week just to get my confidence up again! I cannot recommend Kev enough! He settled my nerves even when I used to flap and stress about certain things. He would keep me calm and focused which allowed me to develop my confidence to a new level! Not just a great teacher but a genuine nice guy! Pleasure to get to know him! If your a nervous learner or want to get your confidence up, book with Kev! Wouldn’t look anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I never wanted to drive but needed to Learn, Kevin was recommended and was the best decision I made , very patient ,always calm and explained if I’d made an error and how to correct it in future in an easy to learn way ,I see someone above complained about pricing , I never had that issue I was told the price at the start per hour can pay cash or bank transfer and it didn’t change until I passed (first time) which was a bittersweet day as even though I never wanted to learn by the time I’d passed the lessons had become a lot of fun and he even sent a card and gift when my daughter was born which was amazing too , if anyone I know ever wants to learn I always sent them to him and they always say how good he is , can’t recommend him enough

Fantastic experience: I did a semi-intensive crash course with Kev a couple of years ago and he was amazing. I learnt over a few years so had a few driving instructors before Kevin but he was by far the best. He's patient, remains calm, and has a good sense of humour so it's easy to stay relaxed and actually enjoy driving. Fantastic experience: Kevin was my 3rd driving instructor. I found it quite a task to find someone who I felt complimented my personality enough for me to feel fully comfortable with. My first instructor was a Groupon deal and sat on his phone for much of the time... No names mentioned And my second one just didn't suit my personality. I needed someone calmer. I found it quite a personal thing learning to drive. You're sat in a car with someone for atleast an hour a week, so figured it's pretty important that I like them in order to feel comfortable and learn to my full potential. I felt at ease with Kev straight away. He was recommended by a good friend, so I knew there was an element of trust there from the get go. Aside from the top banter, kev was also a brilliant instructor. He has incredibly high standards and genuinely cares about his students. A very patient and calm man. He puts his heart and sole into his work, and it shows, his daughter even helps get your car cleaned and looking it's best for your test... I mean how sweet is that! It's those small details that make all the difference. I couldn't recommend him enough.

Negative experience: Unclear charging policy , changed price without notice therefore can only review 2 stars as I felt this was not transparent or professional. I would clarify prices charged for lessons and hire of car for test before any booking .

Fantastic experience: I had failed 5 driving tests before I met Kevin, and I never thought it was going to happen for me. I couldn't believe it when I passed, I was so happy but also sad that our lessons had to end because they were so much fun!

I was apprehensive about learning “everything in reverse”. Kevin helped me focus on the most important elements I needed to “unlearn” and helped me to not be over confident.
