Fantastic experience: Marco is a very knowledgeable instructor with excellent advice for all types of manoeuvres and intersections. Oxford has many test routes and he has specific tips for each and every one, which was instrumental in helping me pass my test. Having been to other instructors too, he has absolutely been the most rigorous and helpful in making me feel safe and confident on the road. Other instructors have even commended his attention to detail as it reflects in his students' attitude to driving. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my driving test on the first attempt thanks to Marco. From simple stopping and starting to full mock-tests, the pace of learning is gentle enough to remain safe yet challenging enough to ensure that techniques are learnt, practised, and improved efficiently. Marco's instruction is always clear and straightforward. Specific manoeuvres such as parallel- and bay-parking and complex junctions such as the Cowley and Headington roundabouts are repeated till mastered. Conducting most lessons through Oxford test-routes meant I was well-prepared for the big day while gaining plenty of general driving experience. Booking lessons with Marco is easy and flexible as communication via text is reliable and consistent. Highly recommended for no-nonsense tuition that gets results!

Fantastic experience: I found Marco after looking for the top-rated instructor in Oxford, and I couldn't be happier with the result. His lessons teach you to drive better than the exam standard, which I think is important for a skill that may be used frequently. Marco has a great knowledge of the local area, and he gives advice about how to deal with the places that often cause problems for students in their exams, and explains how to drive safely at the more dangerous areas. The lessons were all very friendly, and Marco stays calm even if it takes you a lot of attempts to learn something. Although I failed my first practical exam due to a mistake on my part, I was able to pass on the second attempt two weeks later with no faults at all, which I think is down to Marco's great teaching. Absolutely recommended.

Fantastic experience: The thought of even learning to drive terrified me but Marco quickly put me at ease and enabled me to pass my test first time and feel comfortable, confident and safe behind a wheel! Negative experience: Marco was good at the start but then I realised he was in it for the money more than the teaching , he would be on his phone whilst I was driving and I knew from then he was usuless , he never took me on the test routes and he was always on text to another client , I changed instructer and passed within 10 hour lessons when Marco was saying I wasn’t even half way . Fantastic experience: Marco was the best driving instructor I could have hoped for. He knows the roads, he knows the test, he knows the rules, and he knows how to teach effectively without putting pressure on you as you drive. In my case, I had experience driving in another country; he was fully understanding of the nuances of my particular needs -- and in the end, I feel I am a MUCH better driver because of the lessons. For me, it ended up not just being about passing the test (which I did), but about learning how to keep my family safe by having good road habits and understanding how to anticipate the moves of other drivers. Marco is kind, clear, completely responsible, and extremely accommodating about the timing of lessons. He never cancelled and always confirmed by text the day before. Fantastic experience: Marco is a great driving instructor: calm, clear, friendly and full of good advice that helps break down driving into more manageable chunks to learn. I found his manner to be very calming, almost flegmatic at times, which is ideal for nervous drivers. He makes the most complicated of roundabouts a simple exercise in logic that can be negotiated without too much difficulty. He also knows all the test routes and runs mock tests through them, which I found very useful in getting up to test standard. I had failed my driving test twice in as many cities beforehand, but Marco got me through my third test with flying colours. I feel not only confident about driving, but also confident that I have learnt good techniques that will serve me well. On top of all this, Marco is a great bloke, who regularly bought me coffee! Highly recommended.

I am a foreigner with ample experience driving outside the UK so I decided to take the practical exam without formal driving lessons. After failing my first attempt I decided to get some lessons and a colleague of mine recommended me Marco Polo. After a few lessons with him I improved my driving significantly and passed my second exam with flying colours. I can say that I am a better driver now. Excellent instructor!
