Negative experience: Had a terrible time with a certain driving instructor who did not give any constructive feedback and made me repeat a subject for monetary gain (after numerous times of me asking why it was necessary when there was no faults or anything for me to correct). When I asked why this was done the instructor became defensive and decided not to teach me further on short notice with my test in a months time. Unprofessional and money wasting.

Fantastic experience: I've had Sam as an automatic instructor for the last few months and I would whole-heartedly recommend him to any learner. As a nervous driver, Sam has been incredibly patient with me. I've had a few instructors before, both manual and automatic, and I was making so much more progress even in just the first lesson. Sam's service is very reliable, always arriving 15 minutes before so that we could start early if I was ready. He also tries his best to fit more lessons around his always packed schedule. His teaching is very well structured. During the lesson he would ask questions to consolidate my learning and take time to ensure I fully learn from every single mistake. He also shares resources from his website and recommends videos as 'homework' after the lesson. As I could practice with the family car he would also tell me areas I should focus on. I also really appreciate his always standing up for me when there are encounters with reckless road users. There are unfortunately some very rude people who bully learner drivers out there. I'm pretty sure I would've lost a lot of confidence along my learning journey if not for Sam's reassurance after those unpleasant experiences. I've been overjoyed to have passed my driving test first time. Sam did an excellent job of calming my nerves with his humour and describing exactly what happens during the test. I can't imagine passing with any other instructor! Also it's a great bonus that his Toyota Yaris is a joy to drive!

He was very flexible with timings and went out of his way to assure I become a confident driver all whilst remaining positive at all times. Would highly recommend Sam and his driving tuitions.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning with Oxon Driving for a few months now. I had my test 2 days ago and have PASSED on my first attempt!!! My instructor JAN, was the best teacher/mentor I could have dreamed of. The way he explained everything in detail, the way he was sharing his knowledge, experience and skills made me feel I am being looked after during many hours of driving with him. He was super patient, even when I made the same mistake for the 100th time. He was extremely professional, friendly and not even once raised his voice at me. I can't thank him enough for everything I've learned from him. I was very stressed before my test and he made me calm and gave me reassurance and confidence. Also during our lessons he knew when I was nervous ( I still don't know how he could feel that ;) ) and put me at ease within seconds. I wish him only the best in what he is doing and WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JAN as your driving instructor and mentor. GOOD LUCK ☺️

Fantastic experience: What more can I say! You’re superb, Sam. I’ve been to other driving schools and felt as if I wasn’t being taken seriously, however after joining Oxon and with Sam’s help I finally got my driving license. As a teacher, it doesn’t take me long to sense a good teacher. I spotted this greatness, quality teachings, professional relations, explanation of the nitty-gritty as and when due; those and many more (taste and see yourself) are the things that made me spot the ‘good teacher traits’ in Sam from the first 15 minutes of his teachings, diagnostics of my knowledge of driving in the UK which helped me to unlearn asap. I had got a terrible experience from an unprofessional instructor who not only ruined my driving lessons but wrote me off (that I won’t pass and was money conscious). Sam’s introductory lessons was enough to revive me and give me hope to push harder to pass my test. In fact, I have not only learnt driving skills from Sam but also learnt teaching skills. Fantastic experience: I have passed my driving test with zero fault with the help and support my instructor Sam gave to me. He has helped me to focus on details and key techniques of how to drive a car safely and comfortable. Sam has a perfect way to communicate with his learners and detect their specific minor mistakes. Negative experience: About to have my first ever lesson at 4pm, he told me he was waiting down the road (not outside my house) but was not there when I went to meet him at 4. When I called he told me he had cancelled because he was waiting for 15 minutes. This was after they had to reschedule my lesson twice because they couldn't follow a simple instruction that I could not do Mondays (they scheduled me twice for Mondays). Extremely poor service, avoid at all costs. Edit after reposnse: he waited but was not there at the agreed time or location

Positive experience: I had a really difficult time arranging all of my lessons ect at first and was very stressed But in the end Sam become my driving teacher at the last minute I can say my confidence come from Sam pushing me to be the best driver I passed first time and I'm so happy and now driving my car thank you again Sam
