Welcome to JAM School of Motoring, Hindhead’s premier choice for learning to drive, proudly serving the local community along with surrounding areas such as Farnborough and Guildford. Located conveniently at Beacon Hill, we specialize in providing high-quality, patient, and empathetic driving instruction tailored to meet your individual needs. Whether you are a complete beginner taking your first steps on the road or an experienced driver seeking to refine your skills, our team is dedicated to ensuring you feel comfortable, safe, and confident behind the wheel.

What truly sets JAM apart is our unique partnership. Our school is named after our two founders, Jessica and Martin, both of whom are DVSA-approved driving instructors with a combined experience of nearly 20 years in the industry. Their professional journey includes extensive work with local driving schools and, notably, recent experience teaching members of the Armed Forces through the Ministry of Defence (MOD). This background ensures a rigorous standard of training, combining military precision with a supportive, student-centered approach.

Currently, Jessica continues her specialized work with the MOD while also offering occasional intensive courses for the general public, and Martin focuses exclusively on teaching everyday drivers. This dual expertise allows us to offer a comprehensive range of services designed to build your independence on the road. We pride ourselves on our flexible scheduling, operating Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, and Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 12:00, with Sunday rest days.

At JAM School of Motoring, your confidence is our goal. We combine decades of instructional experience with a calm, encouraging teaching style to help you pass your test and drive with assurance. Fantastic experience: Having had my driving licence revoked due to injuries sustained in a riding accident, when I re-applied for my licence, the DVLA asked me to have some refresher lessons prior to undergoing a driving assessment. I was very pleased to find Martin who was able to help with this. He was calm and encouraging and helped to restore my confidence and I now have my licence back. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
