Fantastic experience: Me and my brother did crash courses here and both of us passed. My brother in may passed with Alan on an 2 day course no prior lessons and had nothing but great things to say. So I booked and I did my course last week (lessons Tue, wed, thur and test Friday) with mark who was brilliant. He explained everything so well and would answer my questions in detail which really helped me correct my mistakes and made the whole learning process easier. The hotel was nice and close to the front so lots of things to do after your lessons, breakfast was lovely and Kim was so warm and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: i had sarah as my instructor for the 4 day course that i did, it was very intense but she taught me extremely well and i was able to pass (this being my second time around) extremely pleased with my experience, thankyou so much sarah for getting me to pass

Fantastic experience: I did 10 hours over 2 days. Arrived Sunday night and had lessons Monday and Tuesday followed by my test on Tuesday afternoon. The BnB is nice and peaceful, very quiet so a good place to relax after a long day of driving. The breakfast is great and around hospitality is phenomenal to help provide the right environment for you to relax each night. Kim was very reassuring and great with calming nerves! The Instructor was amazing, simplified everything and made things seem so much easier. Covered everything and was honest on where I needed work and where I was good to go! She was so knowledgable of everything that was to happen on the test and even knew each of the examiners. She covered every possible scenario and was so easy to get along with! I would recommend this to anybody who is learning to drive, I’m so glad I found this place! Everything about it was a 10/10

Fantastic experience: My son came up from London to take a 5 day intensive course and test. Although he had some experience, he hadn't sat behind the wheel for five years at least. The course went like clockwork, and after 4 days instruction he took and passed his test on the morning of the fifth day. Both he and I send our thanks to LearnDrive and to Darren his instructor, who clearly did a great job!

Fantastic experience: I did a week course with learn drive and passed my driving test thanks to Sarah with only 2 minors. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing a driving course, they have been brilliant from the start and rebooked my test for me after my first test was cancelled by the test centre. My boyfriend also did a week course and passed first time with Pippa. Thanks so much guys you’ve been brilliant!

Negative experience: Absolute shambles.... Website states that course can be tailored to suit you, which I wasn't able to do as the driving instructor only contacted me 3 days before my lessons began and I did request contact before then to fine tune arrangements but was told that cant be done. After 3 days of the instructor consistently bombarding me with prompts, criticisms, vocalised observations and future considerations I was driving very well by his standards, despite me asking him to calm down the amount of talking he was doing during major road obstacles such as busy and complex roundabouts. He did not do this and continued badgering me during critical decision making points to the point where I was overwhelmed and caused a dangerous situation during one of these complex and critical moments. He refused to take me to test due to this stating that he would be available for private tuition only to tell me later than he has no time for me in the following months as a few of his recent students had failed their tests and he had to give them extra time. Mentioning this on the phone to Learn drive I was greeted by a lady who consistently repeated "with all due respect" before defensively explaining that it's all very normal for the instructor not to stop talking, especially during major obstacles, and mock tests; stating that it was definitely my fault that a dangerous situation arose, despite not even asking for my name or my driving instructor or dates of instruction. Took my £1200 immediately though so 5 stars for taking payments, 1 star for considerate or sympathetic concern and 0 stars for consistency, you can't meet or choose your instructor whatsoever or even know their pass rates. My instructor had apparently only instructed for 4 years and regailed me of multiple tales of failed student of recent to then not take me to test out of fear of his own pass rates. Thank you learn drive, for robbing me dry and with no remorse.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with this company. They were able to get me in for a 15 hour course within a couple of weeks of me calling. My instructor Alan was great extremely patient and really put me at ease. Gave me all the experience necessary to pass my test. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Just completed a 4 day course and passed first time!! My instructor Sarah was brilliant, really friendly and straight to the point. She got to know me on the first day and immediately realised my weaknesses and with this, was able to build a better me throughout the course. I felt completely welcome and at home with the whole team and not forgetting Kim at the bnb hotel, lovely lady, great breakfast and great advice and encouragement from her, I missed seeing the home dog though . Big thank you to learn drive! And 101% recommended.

Fantastic experience: Learndrive is an amazing school and course. From day one after years out of a car I was made to feel comfortable and day by day Ste raised my driving skills and I was made to feel I could drive a car not instructed to drive never a bad moment and only good constructive feedback on how to recitfy the situation next time. Kim at the b&b makes the course she is always there for advice and her home is so welcoming I would highly recommend the course to anyone!!! Don't doubt yourself just get booked on it!!

Fantastic experience: I learnt with Steve who was very patient and good at explaining things. Unfortunately I failed my test in Blackpool in august but I booked it in right away when I got home and passed 2nd time

Fantastic experience: Done the 10 hour package the instructor was great I think his name was Stevie, I done most of my hours before the test that took place in Preston and passed with 2 minors, The test centre was extremely more relaxed than my local test centre and this helped so much, The hotel was really homely and welcoming and the owner was lovely would highly recommend.

Sarah my instructor was fantastic and although I didn’t pass my test (I did 2 weeks later though) taking this intense 5 day course was the best thing I did for my learning! Having been away from learning to drive for over a year due to Covid and moving towns, I was nervous to start up again but Sarah completely put me at ease and ensured I had all the skills and knowledge needed to pass! The B&B was lovely too and the owner is an absolute darling! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I had personally struggled with the pressure of the test and never liked the one hour lesson once a week format of usual driving lessons so tried the 18 hour course and was worth every penny my instructor mark was a great teacher and great to talk to made everything simple and felt no pressure on the test for the first time and passed couldn’t recommend more

Fantastic experience: A brilliant service from start to finish, 3 of our children have now gone for the week and come home with a driving licence the office staff were very good providing us with all the information we needed, when we needed it and the hotel which they stayed in was very friendly, clean & comfortable and the breakfast went down very well

Fantastic experience: What an a amazing experience. I did a 18 hour course and passed. I have only few lessons before this when I read the reviews I thought o NO but what a load of rubbish they are so take NO NOTICE. Well let's tell you what I experienced I got Steve the instructor i myself is a very nervous person he manged to make me feel at ease showed me how to drive (properly) Was very patient even when I drove on the wrong side of the road and well he did that good of a job I passed. Highly recommended Steve we thank you forever.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my 7 day course so from never behind the wheel to passing in a week. Couldn't have done it without Sarah who was fair and pushed me when needed and always gave frank advice that was needed.

Negative experience: A truly horrific experience. My instructor made inappropriate and suggestive comments during my course which made me uncomfortable and upset, but because I had been told previously that they were incredibly busy I didn't request another driver as I was worried that they would inform my instructor of my complaint and make things even worse for me in the car. Also, because I'd paid to take my driving test, I assumed that I would at least I got the opportunity to take it, but no. They told me the day before that they weren't letting me take it and it wasn't their problem. This was after I had been made to sit in McDonald's for an hour whilst my instructor had a coffee break. It wasn't until I got home and told people of my experience that I realised what a scam it was and decided to make a formal complaint. However, when I rang the company and explained what had happened, I was met by a terribly rude and nasty woman (I believe her name is Sarah) who told me that I "should've just left" if my instructor was that bad and that it was my own fault for staying. I tried to explain that I needed to pass my test for my job so I was desperate but she was just so unkind and ignorant. I then requested to speak to a manager but was told that she would not be able to call me for another two weeks. I wasn't happy about this but I left my contact details and agreed on a date to be contacted, but I never heard anything. This place is a complete scam, which hires the most insulting and ill-mannered people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting/speaking to. The only good quality of this company is the lovely owner of the B&B where the drivers stay. She was warm, welcoming and kind-hearted, so I was grateful for her at least.

They are a professional company, who are reliable and really go the extra mile if unforeseen things happen like the test centre cancelling a test at short notice. Fantastic experience: I did the 18 hour course and had Alan as my instructor. I suffer with severe anxiety and Alan managed to help ease my nerves before the test which is usually impossible. He's a very calm, patient instructor and I couldn't fault him with anything. Very informative, helps with any weak spots in my driving without being rude or shouting, also went over a lot of the driving tests and has a brilliant way of teaching manouvers (and teaching in general). I managed to pass my test with only 3 minors. Alan is by far the best instructor I've had, and I don't think I'd have passed without him. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: Both the bnb manager and the instructors were fantastic! The bnb had lovely options for breakfast and the materials provided really helped me to prepare for the practical test. The instructor made sure that we covered all routes that might be used in the test and this helped me have a general knowledge of how to go about the route. I fully recommend using this company!

Fantastic experience: After previously failing my driving test twice I decided to do a 10 hours intensive driving course to brush up on my skills and be prepared for a test. I was nervous when I first got into the car but Sarah was able to put me at ease very quickly and she was really friendly. Sarah is the most helpful instructor I have had and explained things very clearly, particularly going through the different possible routes for the test. I managed to pass my test with only 4 minors which was a huge improvement on my previous 2 fails. Holly in the office was also able to book me in at extremely short notice, I had to retake my theory on a Friday and after I had passed I called up and was able to start the 10 hours course on the following Monday with a test on the Tuesday. I would highly recommend learndrive and cannot thank Sarah and Holly enough.

Fantastic experience: I did a 30 hour driving course, arriving on Sunday, starting the course Monday and taking the test on Thursday morning (Yesterday). The b&b was great, Kim was a kind and friendly host and breakfast was excellent! Dave was my instructor and he really knows how to focus on your weaknesses and tell you just the right things for you to improve. He's also got a good sense of humour which helps when you're stuck in a car with someone for 30 hours in 4 days! Very honest too, when he realised we were falling short of the full 30 hours he specially came for a 2 hour night drive the day before the test to make sure I got the hours in. I passed with one minor which was a massive relief! All very smooth and highly recommend. Oh and you sure learn to drive in Blackpool - it's got all sorts of roads. So as well as passing the test I feel prepared for driving anywhere. I think an intensive course helps you improve fast.

Fantastic experience: I did a 5 day intensive course and stayed at the hotel. The hotel was clean and lovely to stay in and Kim prepared a great breakfast and hospitality. I had Steve as a driving instructor and we went through all of the basics and he made me an extremely careful driver. He always arrived on time and was the most patient instructor I have had and for any mistake I made he would make the time to pull me aside and go over it until I understood what I did. I wanted to become the best driver I could be and that's what I got. I passed 2nd time with 3 minors. I would recommend the course to anyone

Fantastic experience: Holly & Sarah have been brilliant from booking me in to arranging accommodation it was all done quickly, stayed with kim she even came to pick me up from the train station, the hotel rooms were decent sized with all amenities fresh & clean! .... Steve was my instructor and he was brilliant to be honest I couldn’t ask for anything more passed first time so it’s a 10 out of 10 for me! Few of my mates have been up since also. Fantastic experience: I had been really hoping to one day pass my test and get my licence so i decided to do it via the intensive lesson route. From the initial enquiries i made with LearnDrive to finishing the course yesterday, it was a fantastic experience. Sarah looked after all my requirements and made sure i had everything i needed. The accommodation was as advertised and suited us. I booked the 18 hr course as i’d done a bit of practice beforehand. My driving instructor Steve was patient and helpful. He had every lesson planned and made sure i knew exactly what was happening and what i needed to do. He has had years of driving and teaching experience and it really shows plus his great sense of humour really helps with calming the nerves. I did not expect to enjoy this experience but i did and can recommend anyone of any driving ability to use this company. I even enjoyed my test as my examiner was also helpful and put me at my ease. All in all, a fantastic experience. My best wishes to Sarah and Steve for helping me to tick this off my bucket list.....

Fantastic experience: I came to Blackpool to take my test with Learndrive after failing my first attempt in Leeds. I opted for the two day intensive course option. My instructor was David Hogan, he was exceptional from start to finish and immediately rectified the areas that I was lacking in. I was so impressed i'm booking my partner in with him to do her lessons and test with him. I passed with two minors and felt very confident going into the test after his lessons. Thanks again David you were great!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Learndrive highly enough. At 41 years of age, I never had any wish to drive until a career change made it a necessity. I had zero experience behind the wheel but 47 hours tutoring later, I'm now a qualified driver. If you can, request Darren. He's a top guy with the patience of a saint and he gets results. Negative experience: I booked a 30 hour course and went home a couple of hours into the second day. The instructor was rude, sarcastic and spent most of the time on his phone which is very illegal. Horrible experience, never ever again!

Accommodation was clean and friendly with good breakfast and evening meal. Pippa is a fantastic instructor who makes you feel relaxed and confident in your own ability. Can't thank her enough. Fantastic experience: I wanted to reach out to ANYONE who is looking to get their drivng license and say I absolutely enjoyed LearnDrives driving course with Mark. He was on top of everything! Not only did his friendly demeanor help with the learning process, he had little helpful hints to assist you with remembering how to do certain maneuvers. He, at ALL times, gave positive encouragement and words of advice. I had a previous instructor that was... well the opposite of Mark, causing me to be so nervous for the test that I forgot one of the main easiest rules, Do Not wave pedestrians across the road, and failed it after having been driving for over 30 years in the US and the UK. When letting Mark know how helpful he had been he replied modestly with a “thats what we are here for.” Which is a rare trait when working with individuals. Also having LearnDrive arrange the accommodations was an added source of encouragement. Every morning while having breakfast I was able to chat with like minded individuals experiencing the same nervous feelings. We were able to share our driving stories and learn from them. In addition, the woman and gentleman in charge of the BnB was very supportive allowing us to concentrate on the learning and not having to worry about noise, what to eat, etc. Everything you are doing LearnDrive team keep it up! I shows through everyone you are in contact with. Gosh, I forgot to say thank you to Holly as well. She was so supportive and friendly when I first booked the course. I had Darren as my instructor and what a great job he did! Darren , I honestly cannot fault your teaching. You have made my experience of learning to drive so enjoyable and fun, with great tips and friendly conversation. You were always calm and never got frustrated whenever I have made a mistake. You were always punctual and made the most out of every minute of my lesson, from start to finish. And the results are great as I passed my test the first time without any faults!!!! To anyone who is at their wits-end with learning to drive or is completely unsure about doing so, I highly recommend Darren and LearnDrive. 10/10. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I never really leave reviews but I thought I would as it’s all I read before booking. I was scammed about a year ago with another company and they took my money and didn’t return it. I was super apprehensive before booking, but the office and Facebook page reassured me! I booked online and the next day the office called me and told me my test was in two weeks! I was so nervous but excited. I requested Darren as an instructor as I read many good reviews on him. I did the 30 hour 5 day course, and it was so worth it. I started on the Sunday and by Thursday I was driving in my own car as I passed with just one minor! Darren makes you feel at ease and is so patient and chilled out! He also is very down to earth. I would 110% recommend Learn Drive and wish I did it sooner. Thank you Darren & the Team!

Fantastic experience: Doing the 5 day shared tuition, test is tomorrow and I have to deal it's been well worth the money! I'm at a bank holiday and I say my theory on day 1 of being here, and they have still managed to book my test for tomorrow!! Dave is an excellent instructor that gets to the point when it's needed! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Learndrive back in October. My instructor Sarah was great. Very straight to the point, told me exactly how it is. I put a lot of pressure on myself to pass, due to being pregnant and other reasons I needed to pass this test! Im not the most positive person but Sarah managed to push through that and helped me pass my test first time! Which I think shocked us both a little! Thank you Sarah for all the effort you put in. Fantastic experience: I can't comment on the 2 day course but I did the 5 day course without having had many lessons before and passed my test first time. Dave is a phenomenal teacher, very patient ,excellent to learn from and a lovely guy. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Having said that the cheapest accommodation really isn't very good. They have no wifi and the hosts really arn't very good but its crazily cheap so you get what you pay for with them.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time last week after doing a five day one to one tuition course. My instructor was George and as others have said about their instructors, I can't praise him enough. I was a little bit worried because I found out that my test would be in Blackburn and I wouldn't know the roads. As my instructor said, once you've learned how to drive, you can drive anywhere and I totally agree. I only got 4 minors which is pretty good as you're allowed up to 15. As for the 'budget' accommodation which learn drive provided for me at the Hazeldene, it was lovely. Home cooked food every night which was beautiful and a great full English breakfast in the morning or cereal if you wish. Thank you learn drive, can't thank you enough! I've recommended this place to everybody, just one minor fault with the course.. Blackpool is freeeeezing :)

Fantastic experience: Alan was great. We did an intensive 1-1 course, didn't pass the first time because of nerves, but passed 2nd time again with Alan and Learn Drive. You get what you pay for- the intensive Course 1-1 may seem a lot of money, but not when comparing it to the cost of weekly lessons over a long period of time- where she learnt very little.

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my test with learndrive and I simply cannot praise this company enough. My instructor was Sarah who was faultless, she was direct and no nonsense when necessary but built my confidence massively ready for the dreaded test. I am 44 years old and have had hundreds of lessons and several failed tests over the years. I did the 10 hr course and have never felt better prepared for anything. Thank you Sarah. I stayed at the Hazeldene hotel and Linda and Albert are two of the warmest friendliest people I have met in a long time. The food was excellent the rooms were comfortable and warm, what more do you need. If you are considering an intensive course then look no further. Nothing is guaranteed and they don't pretend it is but I for one can't fault them. Lee Flamson, Oct 2017.

Negative experience: Ive never been so disappointed, upset and disheartened by anything until i went to blackpool to do a 2 day crash course. After 30+ hours i felt 10 hours more is all i needed. After 6 hours on my first day the instructor said he cant put me in for a test because if i failed (which he thought i would) it would look bad on him and he couldnt have that.. you would think it would be my choice whether i fail or not given the fact i paid for it but no, apparently wasnt my choice. if i failed i wouldnt have been too bothered but the fact i wasnt given a choice! How ridiculous.. wouldnt reccommend to someone doing a short course maybe if you did 5/7 days with them. I think its just wrong how they make the decision for you because if they get failures it looks bad on their reputation. My instructor was not very patient and did not understand why i did not remember certain roads (i'm not from blackpool so to me the road names or places mean nothing to me). Cant fault the Hazeldene hotel though the woman was lovely and gave me half my money back, i would give them 5* for being so lovely and understanding.

Negative experience: Given a 1 as it won't let me give a 0. My daughter paid £250 for less than 2 hours driving. She was picked up from Blackpool by Dave and spent the 1st hour waiting outside an hotel for another customer who wasn't even there, then sat waiting outside Blackpool train station for their train to arrive. She then drove to a car park and was told to let the other person drive. Her test was the following day..... but oh no.. that was cancelled... so the following day she was not offered any hours driving but told her test was rebooked for the day after. She was told to wait near her house at 7am. Half an hour later......where was Dave that was to give her an hours tuition before her test (as she hadn't been able to get used to the car) he was in bed!!!!!!! Ultimately she failed.. and they're arguing about reimbursing her. She was given £120, £100 refund and £20 taxi fare to the test centre as she had to make her own way there. Her instructor has also just text me by mistake when he should have been texting the centre. Do they really know what's going on. STAY WELL CLEAR... This is not over until my daughter gets a full reimbursement

Fantastic experience: Really great experience. I went on two courses; the 4 day course and the 2 day course both shared with optional accommodation. I went on the first course after having around 10 lessons the previous summer. Alan was my instructor throughout both courses and he made me feel so relaxed and spent time on areas that I didn't feel so confident with. On arrival, it was explained that my test was going to be in Preston and not Blackpool, which admittedly made me feel a little anxious at first, but from day one myself and the person I shared the course with drove to Preston and started to learn the roads and test routes. I found driving around Preston really OK as it has a nice mix of country roads and fast roads and never too much traffic from what I experienced. Unfortunately on my first course I failed, but not through bad teaching , I just failed to stop at abig red light on my test! I took my second course with Alan at Preston again on request and luckily passed! Accommodation at Hazeldene was very good value for money and most of all safe and welcoming. As a young female traveling by myself this was really important. Really can't recommend this course enough. One tip I would give people thinking about doing the 4 day shared course is that some experience of driving is needed - luckily me and the person I shared the course with were at similar levels of experience.

Negative experience: Diasappointed and Unfair dismissal. .After nearly a week of 1 to 1 and having received alot of great feedback on my progress and consistent throughout the week . .My Instructor decided I wasn't ready for test few minutes before my test this Morning.. So that means..loss of test fee as no time to even rebook my test. Thought there was a difference between an incomplete Students and Nerves in the morning of the test. Can't Fault thou the Atlantic Hotel ..Was a Pleasure staying there.

Fantastic experience: Excellent value for money, instructor Dave was amazing, so helpful and patient. Although I failed first time (one major! My fault) I booked another course straight away for just one day and passed. Can't praise them enough!

Fantastic experience: The standard of help and support I received from learn drive particularly from Holly was first class and second to none ....I was unlucky in the first instance as after a weeks Drivin practice it snowed on the day of my test and it was cancelled ..hard to put into words how gutted I was but Learndrive stood by me and got me a quick re-rest which I failed ....I then booked a further two tests through Holly before I passed ...I still can't believe how quickly and efficiently she was able to get me tests booked and after a while they even charged me a little less for the luxury of not having to wait for three months to get one ...what a brilliant company and what a lovely lady !! There are a lot off companies out there professing to be able to help people get there licence and ripping people of left right and centre ..luckily I feel like I dropped on the one company amongst them that actually could and would help ..extremely affordable and ridiculously efficient and pleasant ..called me back every time ! thank you learn drive and thank you Holly X

Negative experience: TOTAL RIP OFF AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON A COURSE TO BE TOLD THE INSTRUCTOR DON'T WANT TO LET YOU USE HER CAR FOR YOUR TEST. REPORTING TO DSA AND TAKING THE SITUATION FURTHER.

Positive experience: Thanks to learn drive and George my instructor passed after 2days shared tuition, must be at least up to basic or don't waste your own time and learn drives, a brilliant course and accommodation at the hazeldine hotel, food good, rooms good, all round excellent value for money, big thanks, Brian mcclay, Telford, Shropshire

Negative experience: Awful customer service. Driving instructor was constantly on her phone and payed no attention to student. She didn't even drop and pick up even thought student was staying very close to her house. Did not prepare student for test and therefore failed....waste of MONEY! Did not tell student what she did wrong..which is the point of having an instructor. Would not recommend this business as they obviously do not train their employees.

Negative experience: Scam from beginning to end says they have you a test booked then tell you when you have already paid and on arrival that your actual test is in another town even tho your lessons are in Blackpool, then if you fail you get free lessons for next test which is not true they just tell you they have no test dates available at the moment
