Fantastic experience: My experience with Gold was flawless. My instructor was Rich R and he was impeccable. He was always calm and collected, knowledgeable and had faith in me. He always had answers for my questions and was very switched on to how I was driving and where I could improve. I passed my test with zero faults which im so happy about and it was thanks to Rich. Fantastic experience: It has been years since I last drove back in my country and even longer since I’ve driven a manual gear car! I had a tight deadline to pass the test due to my pregnancy, and instructor Richard not only taught me everything I needed, but also trusted me to learn and improve in such a short timeframe. Both my husband and I had driving lessons with Richard AND passed our exams. The instructor teaches really well and in details, he is very thoughtful and I had lots of fun while learning! Fantastic experience: I started learning with Linda Peirson-Hagg based on a recommendation from a friend. I am a naturally anxious person and learning to drive was something that had been on my to-do list for years but I had put off until the ripe age of 25. The first couple of months learning were full of nerves (and sometimes tears!) but Linda could not have been more patient and reassuring with me. Her easy-going nature and kind personality made the whole learning experience so much easier. No mistake was made to feel like a big deal and she helped me gain a lot of confidence over our time together. She also took on my husband who is a learner driver at 32 and he has had an equally wonderful experience with her. I have spent 18 months (off and on) from first lesson to passing my test with Linda and we have gone through the later stages of COVID, house moves, new jobs and weddings in that time (including my own!). Throughout she remained flexible with times and dates and communication has always been top notch. If you are looking for an instructor who is kind, professional, knowledgeable, and who will teach you not just how to pass your test but how to really be a confident, independent driver, I could not recommend Linda enough!

Fantastic experience: Had Rich R as my instructor and he couldn’t have been any better. Started out as a very nervous driver but our lessons were very calm and well explained, I liked the fact that we talked through in detail new parts of driving using an iPad and Rich was very patient in answering all my questions, and as a result of his teaching methods I passed my test first time!

Fantastic experience: All round a great experience with the driving lessons. I was given all the right tips to perfect my driving and Stuart was very patient and happy to practice the same things over and over until I got it right. I had about 16 hours of lessons in total and each one of them was very helpful and undoubtedly the reason that I was able to pass my test first time. Stuart was also flexible with timings if I was unable to make one of the lessons and was able to fit me in within a week. Overall I would highly recommend for anyone looking for driving lessons in the area whether you are completely new to driving or you just need a few lessons to get you to the standards needed for the test.

During my initial lessons I felt that I’m gonna drop out because I was finding it so difficult to understand everything. She always kept me motivated and encouraged me during lessons. Negative experience: Tried to book some lessons and got a rude email back saying they can't take me on as it's over whelming, and then asked why not and then got another rude email back pretty much saying the same thing.

Fantastic experience: Linda is excellent, I have struggled loads with my driving and wish that from the start I had Linda to teach me. Being a female I much preferred being taught by another women, Linda gives you confidence, patience and above all a can do attitude. Teaches in a very professional manor and easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: Was so impressed with Andy's knowledge and demeanour with my 14 year old daughter's driving party that I booked myself (age forty something) in for some advanced lessons. Very impressed again with today's lesson, Andy clearly knows his stuff, enjoys his work, and gives expert and enjoyable lessons. Recommended!

Fantastic experience: I have investigated a review by Glorious 97 and cannot find any emails or phone calls from this person ! if the individual would like to contact myself or Nick smith via the web site please do and we will look into the matter further. The Driving instructors at Gold are very busy and will not call during lessons or while driving and i know they would not speak to any client in that manner.

Negative experience: I tried to arrange a number of lessons with gold however what i found was that they took a significant amount of time to get back to you. as well after speaking to a number of staff members to arrange lessons there was no help with regards to lessons. i asked for 1.5hrs a week because i was advised this by everyone i know who have taken there lessons and test. one member responded by saying "its not worth my f-ing time". thankfully ive now gone to a more professional driving academy which is independent driving and ive never been happier.

Fantastic experience: Having originally passed with a Gold instructor and completing pass plus with them, it was a no brainer when it came to choosing who to take my B+E test with. Andy Heaton my instructor is a perfectionist and trained me to an exceptionally high standard, my first time pass result with no minors certainly reflected that. I was taught in a Landrover Freelander 2 which is a fantastic tow vehicle, and throughly enjoyed all aspects of the training. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gold Driving School to family and friends in the future. Thanks Gold!
